Cute, Vibrant & Such a Unique Experience!…read more Gahwa Cafe was such a cute Turkish coffee spot! I had never experienced Turkish coffee like this before, so it was a whole new experience for me. The owner was so attentive and welcoming, and one of my favorite parts was getting to see him show us how they make the Turkish espresso in hot sand! I had never seen anything like it, and it made the experience feel so much more special. And let me tell you...the Turkish espresso was AMAZING! The flavor was rich, smooth, and honestly just perfect. Definitely my favorite part of the experience. We also tried the pistachio baklava, and it was tasty! The food was good overall. Since this was my first time trying Turkish food, some of the flavors were definitely new to my palate, but I enjoyed getting to try something different. The café itself is vibrant, colorful, and full of character, but when we went, it was just us, so it was also super quiet and peaceful. I really enjoyed the ambience. They even have a hookah area, which adds another fun element to the experience. The only downside for us is that it's pretty far from where we live, so I'm not sure I'd make the trip again just for the café. But if you're already in the area or live nearby, I'd definitely recommend checking it out! Turkish Espresso: 10/10 Pistachio Baklava: Tasty Ambience: Vibrant + peaceful Service: Attentive Experience: Unique & memorable Cute spot, great vibes, and definitely glad we tried it!

When you walk in the owner is often the one to great you, the cash register to the left of the entrance, and a lovely assortment of trinkets to the right. The food itself was nice and light. I enjoyed the Knafeh. We also got an assortment of drinks. My personal favorite was the Salep (like a more savory creamier hot chocolate, hold the chocolate). The masala chai was a decent price for a pot and had a delightful flavor, I've since taken multiple people and a variety of different pallettes enjoy the flavor. This is a great date spot, but also low key enough to just enjoy if you want a place to relax, there's a small bookshelf if you wanted to un plug and read while you enjoy your tea. Ps. The owner is a professional guitarist, my friend who is also a professional musician has a wonderful time chatting with him about their shared passions.

I've been curious about this place for a while, but I felt awkward going to a restaurant when I have no reason to go to the medical facility. My wife and I decided to go out of our way and visit this restaurant, I can clearly say that I would have enjoyed it greatly weather in a downtown neighborhood anywhere in America or inside the Mayo clinic. The staff was incredibly friendly, from the front desk reception team to our server, Kaely. Everyone was efficient and enthusiastic, and very helpful throughout. I had the pappardelle with the short rib and it was absolutely excellent. My wife had the shrimp etouffee and enjoyed it greatly as well. Pricing averaged about $50 per person including tip and tax, we had soft drinks - wine will generally increase the bill. They do have a bar area as well as the main dining room, so there are plenty of opportunities to enjoy M Brothers differently. If you have a chance, definitely visit this restaurant and I'd highly recommend making a reservation online, because it did get quite active as the night went by. We'll certainly be back.

The ambiance was nice with soft music playing. The menu offers about ten appetizers, a couple of salads, and about ten entrees. I had the shrimp etoffuie and it was delicious. My husband had the short rib paperdelle and he also loved his dish. Service was great from our server, the hostess and the manager.

My companion had the beef kebab platter. He said it was some of the best beef he had ever had-very tender and flavorful and cooked to our specification. My my chicken platter was delicious and juicy. I loved the sauce that came for it to be dipped in. The hummus was incredibly smooth and tasty. This is my second visit to Cedar and Olive in a week. I went for the first time last week with my daughter for lunch, and we enjoyed the meal so much I knew I had to bring my best friend for dinner. The cool thing was that Pete, the son of the owner, remembered both mine and my daughter's names, as well as what soda I liked to drink! It was a very nice touch. I will definitely be going back to this family-owned restaurant to try even more things. I highly recommend you give this place a try.

Although it took some time to bag it all up, everything was ready when I arrived. We tried three sandwiches - kafta, chicken kebab, and falafel, along with two salad bowls - chicken kabab and kafta. I also got the Mediterranean sampler. I indulged in the Mediterranean sampler. The salads looked very fresh. I enjoyed the fattoush salad and the tabbouli salad. The pita bread was fresh and thin. Dipping it into the labneh was delightful. The baba ghanoush was also good, but the hummus had a very strange taste that was offputting. The falafel was OK, but it was a bit dry. The sandwiches seemed dry as well. I'm glad that I had a chance to visit Cedar and Olive. I enjoyed some of their appetizers and the pita bread. One highlight was watching the owner's mother stuffing grape leaves and offering to teach me how to do so. If only I had had more time!

I was in town visiting family and wanted to get out the house....actually, I wanted to go smoke…read morehookah. Because this place was so close to where I was visiting and looked cool AND was rated highly on here, I was on my way. Right away I was greeted and seated by a hostess named Rosy (she was seriously fun and amazing the whole time). The layout and vibe of the place is so awesome. The DJ played good music, the crowd was chill, and best of all this place serves wine and beer (and food). However, this place gets 5 stars for the customer service. I ordered a brand/flavor I smoke at home on the regular so when I got my hookah, I was certain it didn't taste like what ordered. I let Rosy know and the owner came out to try it. Rosy agreed it didn't taste like gum mint and the owner graciously changed it out. From my experience at hookah bars, flavors can come out differently if the head isn't cleaned well, but the owner insisted they all are. He even brought out the box of shisha so I could see what they're using and yes, it was the exact one I have. After changing it out, it still wasn't right. He came back to check on me and I was honest in that it still didn't taste like gum mint, but I told him it was fine. He offered to swap it out yet again, but at this point I wasn't trying to be difficult. His whole staff and himself had been so nice and I didn't want to be "that customer." The next night I came back with my brother and the owner along with another waitress from the previous night remembered me and once again received excellent service. I have to add that prices are very reasonable for both hookah (if you like Al Fahkar) and drinks, but it's such an awesome place that the bill WILL add up. I can see why this place has such good reviews and I will be back when I visit again.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a hookah lounge, and that says a lot for someone who doesn't smoke! The food here caught me by surprise in the best way possible! Not only was I super satisfied with the selection on the menu, but everyone ordered something different and we basically got to see a showcase of menu items. The lowest scoring menu item to us was still a 5.5 which is solid. I would highly recommend coming here, especially with friends. They have good music playing and service for us was a 10 out of 10. I was helped by Brodie and Korey and when I tell you guys they took such good care of us I mean it! Brodie was our bartender, he took the time to perfect each drink & always made sure we were topped off with refills! Korey took care of absolutely everything we could have asked for! From napkins to photos she was willing to do it all! I can't wait to come back here!!! Especially for those egg rolls!!
