Awesome food truck serving some of the best greek cuisine I've had in Jax so far. They've been added to my weekly takeout rotation!

When you walk in the owner is often the one to great you, the cash register to the left of the entrance, and a lovely assortment of trinkets to the right. The food itself was nice and light. I enjoyed the Knafeh. We also got an assortment of drinks. My personal favorite was the Salep (like a more savory creamier hot chocolate, hold the chocolate). The masala chai was a decent price for a pot and had a delightful flavor, I've since taken multiple people and a variety of different pallettes enjoy the flavor. This is a great date spot, but also low key enough to just enjoy if you want a place to relax, there's a small bookshelf if you wanted to un plug and read while you enjoy your tea. Ps. The owner is a professional guitarist, my friend who is also a professional musician has a wonderful time chatting with him about their shared passions.

My fiancé chose this place for a random date and I was really glad he did. From the photos from…read moreothers on Yelp it looked like a place to unwind and relax so I couldn't wait. The photos didn't lie. This place is nicely tucked away from the Atlantic and San Pablo craziness. Walking in I felt transported to another country. As cliche as that sounds I don't have any other way to describe it. I love the items imported straight from Turkey for sale (the staff are true salespeople as they really wanted me to purchase something. They were beautiful but I didn't see anything that I HAD to have). In the back. the wisteria hanging from the ceiling and the middle eastern sofa for lounging and maybe for some snacks and hookah made it seem so cozy. I loved all the decor. The first thing we got was the Turkish Coffee that was heated in hot sand. The guy serving us, I wasn't sure if he was the owner or not was really great. He warned us not to ingest the coffee grind/powder/sludge on the bottom but that we'd really enjoy the taste. That was perhaps the best tasting coffee I've ever had not to mention it was nuclear hot. We got the Charcuterie for 2 which had lebna or lebneh, cheddar, gyro meat which I thought was shawarma but it wasn't, grape leaves, hummus, fruits and crackers with a side of honey and pita bread slices. I don't remember having lebna before but I loved it. There were some extras we got like the mozzarella balls, the ful medames, olives, and I believe some kind of date cakes. Trust me. We were good after eating all of this. My fiance also had Lentil soup which he said was nice and simple. Definitely had a wonderful experience.

Cedar and Olive was hands down the best meal in Jacksonville…read more We went for lunch and were guided by the warmest, most helpful staff. Let me tell you about the Tawook Sandwich, this thing is something special. The garlic spread they use combined with perfectly seasoned chicken, pickles, and just the right amount of crispy french fry tucked inside makes it one of the best things I have ever eaten. I'm not exaggerating. It's the kind of bite that stops you mid-conversation because you just need a moment to appreciate it. The shish kabob platter was equally incredible, the steak was impossibly tender and packed with deep, rich flavor. The hummus and pita rounded everything out beautifully, simple but executed with real care. What sets Cedar and Olive apart is that you can genuinely taste the passion behind every single dish. This isn't food that was just prepared, it was crafted with intention and creativity. If you're in Jacksonville, please do yourself a favor and go here. Don't think about it, just go. You will not regret it.

Cedar and Olive was a bit of a disappointment for me. The restaurant itself is very nice, with a clean, modern setup and an inviting atmosphere. I ordered the shish tawook and fattoush. Both tasted good, so the issue wasn't necessarily the quality of the food. It was the portions, pricing, and overall experience. For me, it felt like the gentrified version of Mediterranean food. Everything looked polished and was presented nicely, but some of the generosity and authenticity I associate with a great Mediterranean restaurant seemed to be missing. Mediterranean food is usually the type of meal where you leave full and satisfied. Here, I left wondering where the rest of my plate was. The shish tawook and fattoush were good, but for the price, the meal simply wasn't fulfilling enough. Customer Service was good, not stood out either good or bad. Nice restaurant, good food, and attractive presentation. But if I'm craving an authentic Mediterranean experience with generous portions and strong value, this probably wouldn't be my first choice.

I was in town visiting family and wanted to get out the house....actually, I wanted to go smoke…read morehookah. Because this place was so close to where I was visiting and looked cool AND was rated highly on here, I was on my way. Right away I was greeted and seated by a hostess named Rosy (she was seriously fun and amazing the whole time). The layout and vibe of the place is so awesome. The DJ played good music, the crowd was chill, and best of all this place serves wine and beer (and food). However, this place gets 5 stars for the customer service. I ordered a brand/flavor I smoke at home on the regular so when I got my hookah, I was certain it didn't taste like what ordered. I let Rosy know and the owner came out to try it. Rosy agreed it didn't taste like gum mint and the owner graciously changed it out. From my experience at hookah bars, flavors can come out differently if the head isn't cleaned well, but the owner insisted they all are. He even brought out the box of shisha so I could see what they're using and yes, it was the exact one I have. After changing it out, it still wasn't right. He came back to check on me and I was honest in that it still didn't taste like gum mint, but I told him it was fine. He offered to swap it out yet again, but at this point I wasn't trying to be difficult. His whole staff and himself had been so nice and I didn't want to be "that customer." The next night I came back with my brother and the owner along with another waitress from the previous night remembered me and once again received excellent service. I have to add that prices are very reasonable for both hookah (if you like Al Fahkar) and drinks, but it's such an awesome place that the bill WILL add up. I can see why this place has such good reviews and I will be back when I visit again.

This was by far the best experience I've ever had at a hookah lounge, and that says a lot for someone who doesn't smoke! The food here caught me by surprise in the best way possible! Not only was I super satisfied with the selection on the menu, but everyone ordered something different and we basically got to see a showcase of menu items. The lowest scoring menu item to us was still a 5.5 which is solid. I would highly recommend coming here, especially with friends. They have good music playing and service for us was a 10 out of 10. I was helped by Brodie and Korey and when I tell you guys they took such good care of us I mean it! Brodie was our bartender, he took the time to perfect each drink & always made sure we were topped off with refills! Korey took care of absolutely everything we could have asked for! From napkins to photos she was willing to do it all! I can't wait to come back here!!! Especially for those egg rolls!!
