Best pizza in town!! We come here every week and we love it! Nice and crispy and good size

Made a small order for takeout, well before closing time tonight. Food came 15ish minutes later, we get to the car and notice they missed garlic knots. This order was small enough to where it should be pretty easy to not miss things. We get home and the pizza is cold, the slices were not cut, and the knots were chewy, like they had been microwaved all day. Off days happen, will try another time before I write them off. read more

I didn't go to Renna's Pizza looking for anything special, I was simply looking for a decent pizza place that was good value. I found Renna's to be quite expensive for a pizza that was really just ok. The Caprese salad was decent, but the garlic bread did not hit the spot at all. For the prices Renna's is charging, I am expecting a lot more bang for my buck. read more

Friday night was super busy but staff was prepared displaying swift order taking, preparing salads, making pizza and other specialties of the house. Families abounded inside but the flow was good. Greek salad was nicely appointed with olives, feta cheese and a very good vinaigrette. Cheese steak was good not great but nicely appointed with lettuce tomato, onion and a mix of provolone and mozzarella cheese. Pizza is the star here. Thin crisp crust with ample toppings. First I grew up in Brooklyn, NY. Pizza by the slice is life. Another New Yorker recommended this place and she was right! Immediate impression walking in was, wow this place is super clean and smells clean. I kept it simple when I ordered since it was my first time. I ordered the 2 slices of cheese and a drink special. Slices were up super fast and were brought to the table piping hot. I didn't put any toppings on the slices, ie pepper or parm. I wanted to taste it. So yummy. Nice crunchy crust. Oh the special came up to just under $9, which is cheaper than any of my fast food orders. The staff was really pleasant as well. Overall, I will be back. Good food, clean environment, and nice staff wins every time. read more

This restaurant small but easy to find. The outside is clean. The inside is also clean and kept nice. There are two flat screen t.v.s at the inside seating area. You will order and pay before seating yourself. You will also fill your own drinks at the soda fountain. They do have a cooler of beers. The service is friendly. They answer all your questions with ease. They deliver your food to your table. The food is fresh. They make your all your meals with an open kitchen. The recipes they use for the pizza is closest to N.y. style pizza I found in Florida in a long time. Usually places claiming to have regional style pizza are epic fails. That is not true here. The sausage parm sub we ordered was a bit burnt on one side. That is why they are missing a star. Overall, this is a decent place for a quick bite. They sell NY style pizza by the slice. Their lunch special has you getting 2 cheese slices and a drink for under $7.00. The pizza is okay. The flavor is fair. I think it needs a bit more sauce or the sauce needs a little more flair to it. The people working there have always been friendly. The pizza comes out hot and they bring it out to you. The bottom line question... Would you go back. The answer is yes. Looking for an actual New York Style pizza in Jacksonville is a lot like trusting a mechanic not to rip you off for the first time. Either the crust is way too thick or the sauce is just...eh. Well after playing pizza roulette we landed on Renna's and decided to order delivery. It's just our luck that their delivery driver quit that same day and they had no one to cover for that night. It wasn't a big deal as we just drove down the street to pick it up. The pizza took no time to make and was hot and ready when we walked in. The restaurant was very clean and the staff was very friendly, even apologizing further about not being able to deliver. Upon getting home and opening the box we were pleasantly surprised at how "authentic" the pizza was. A nice thing crust with just the perfect amount of grease on it to let me know "you're not gonna be filling up on dough but instead cheesy meaty goodness"! After biting into the pizza (I'm a crust folder) I immediately became satisfied with my choice. The sauce was very good and there was just enough to taste but not too much to overpower the bite. All in all I'd say this is a very good New York Style pizza joint and if you're by one you should check it out. read more

Renna's has been a go to staple for many years for family, friends and I however, my most recent experience was completely lack luster. I ordered a three topping, 12" pizza and almost fell over when I was handed a check for more than EIGHTEEN DOLLARS. Really? A small pizza for that kind of dough(pun intended)? I get supply chain issues, inflation and all that has come with the pandemic, but seriously... I hope Renna's makes it. Came in after finishing up our taxes. We were welcomed as we walked through the door by the manager, Mike. We placed an order for the two slice special with a drink. Pizza was freshly made, hot and crispy! I added pepperoni. Once our order was done, Mike brought it to our table and chatted us up about sports and college basketball. He brought us napkins and was very courteous and made sure to check back on us. The pizza was cooked piping hot and crispy, the way my boyfriend and I like it and tasted just like home. So when they say this is NY Style pizza, they mean it! They offer a wide variety of beer in their freezer and about 4 on tap. They also have wines at room temperature ready for anyone who would like to add a touch of class to their meal. I would suggest Renna's for any lunchtime run if you're ever craving a genuine NY tasting slice of pizza. The customer service is great, employees are friendly, and Mike is a very nice manager who made sure we were taken care of. The food is delicious (at least the pizza) and I wouldn't think less of the rest of the menu. After chatting with Mike, we found out that they do a lot of catering for Hampton Inn and an apartment complex located in the area. They are building their business by offering a superb product and great service. They are also connected to the Renna's in the town center and was curious to know if the service and product were as superior and of good quality as to be expected. Its good to know that he was concerned and looking for the feedback so he would be familiar with any complaints or compliments. Mike is a great manager and it was refreshing to speak to him and see how much he cared about his product. Come to Renna's. They will prove that their great tasting pizza isn't based on the water! I used to work at the Renna's at the St. Johns Town Center (which is now closed) a few summers in a row, while home from college. When I worked there I would eat lunch there almost everyday/ have leftovers to bring home and eat and never would get tired of it. When I moved back to Jax and got a job within 5 minutes away from this location I was so excited to have one so close. I have been in there quite a few times within the past year or more and I can count more times than not that my order has been messed up/ service was bad. It's the little things, that aren't hard, that get messed up- such as, me asking for NO cheese on my antipasta salad and almost always having cheese on it, especially when I order to-go's. My sandwiches have been wrong or not the right ingredients, sandwiches have been toasted when I specifically ask for them not to be- almost every single time, sauces have been left out (even when I asked if they put it in the bag and they say yes)... I guess I should learn to start double checking my meals before I leave the restaurant. One time 3-4 people who ordered after me got their food BEFORE I did and trust me, having worked there I know ordering slices sometimes can take a while if the XXL pie is being cooked, so I was understanding until I saw them handing out slices of pizza... AKA they forgot about me or took my order to some one else. The younger staff that's in there isn't very welcoming and seem like they would rather be doing something else. Renna's has always been our fav local pizza spot. We've tried so many pizza places but we always default back to Renna's. We usually stick with a plain cheese or mushroom but just tried the Philly cheesesteak pizza for the first time. How did I miss this on the menu before? It was topped with steak and onions.
