I really wanted to give this Five Star Pizza location a fair chance, but unfortunately this was a very disappointing experience. We ordered an extra-large meat pizza and garlic chicken through DoorDash for $50.70. For an extra-large meat pizza, there was surprisingly very little meat or toppings. The sauce was dry, and the crust had huge puffy air pockets across the top. I have pictures showing exactly how the pizza arrived. The garlic chicken was even worse for me. It was extremely greasy and so salty that I literally had to spit out the bite I took. We simply could not enjoy the food we paid for. What bothered me even more was what happened when I tried to resolve the issue directly. I called the restaurant at approximately 9:55 AM on August 19 and spoke with the manager. I explained the problems with the order and was genuinely trying to give the restaurant an opportunity to make things right. The manager would not give me his name and laughed during our conversation. I found that incredibly dismissive. Restaurants have bad nights. Mistakes happen, and I understand that. What makes the difference is how a business treats a customer when that customer respectfully brings a legitimate problem to their attention. I wasn't asking for anything unreasonable. I paid $50.70, had photographs and a receipt, and simply wanted the problem addressed. Instead, I left the conversation feeling like my complaint wasn't taken seriously. I have since had to pursue the matter through DoorDash and other appropriate complaint channels because I was unable to resolve it directly with the restaurant. I hope the owners or whoever is responsible for this location sees this--not just because I want my money refunded, but because customers deserve to be treated respectfully when something goes wrong. read more

Hubby had eaten pizza from a different Five Star location and remembered it being pretty good. I called, placed the order and within a short while our pepperoni pizza and wings were delivered. Everything looked pretty good so we dug in. The pepperoni pizza was decent. Not bad but not great. The cheese and pepperoni were good. I thought the crust was too thick and not crispy enough for me. The wings were spicy and I enjoyed the sauce but they would have been better if they were crispier. As far as a late night option or after drinking option, not bad. I tried Five Star Pizza for the first time this weekend. They sent me a coupon with a scratch off and I won a free small cheese pizza and for an additional $3.99 I could get a large cheese pizza. I was heading to my friends to hang out so I called in the pizza and was told it would be roughly 20 minutes. I also ordered a 10-piece sweet and spicy wings. The food was ready when I arrived. I took the food to my friend's house and we were all impressed. The cheese pizza was solid, with a nice balance of sauce and cheese. The wings were cooked perfectly however I wasn't a fan of a sauce. Next time I will try the spicy wings as I didn't taste enough kick in the sweet and spicy sauce. Service was fast and friendly for pickup. There were a few video games and video rentals with some rock music playing in the kitchen. Nice chill vibe. I would eat here again. read more

In our often "What's for dinner?" guessing game, I said aloud, "Pizza!" knowing good and well that I wouldn't be getting a pizza, at least not a normal one. I'd seen on social media that this location had Pizza Bowls: pizza toppings without the pizza dough baked in a pie tin. Was it really worth it to enjoy it this way? I was gonna find out. I chose the Veggie Pizza Bowl (green peppers, onions, mushrooms, black olives, tomatoes) with extra black olives because it's one of my favorite pizza toppings. He got a small Deluxe pizza (pepperoni, Italian sausage, green peppers, onions, mushrooms) and placed our orders in the delivery app. Within an hour we had them. I was initially confused because we had to pizza boxes but when I opened up the smaller one there was my pizza bowl looking very delicious. We sat down on the couch and ate. He enjoyed his pizza but was only able to eat half of it. I finished my bowl. In hindsight I probably should've asked for extra cheese but I would be greedy. We just got a large cheese and it was literally all overly chewy flavorless dough and the THINNEST layer of both sauce and cheese.
