Whenever i am craving food that tastes like home, here is where i come! I always have the Pabellon and it is amazing every single time. Service is fast and the staff is always happy to be there. I love the ambiance, it always includes great music that i can vibe to while i enjoy my meal.

Love the arepas here! I tried the beef and chicken arepas. Both delicious. They give you a green sauce and a cream sauce to add to it. Service can determine based on the day of the week and how busy this place can get. Exocet to wait longer during rush hours on the weekend. I have also tried the natural fruit juices and they do not disappoint. Staff is very friendly as well. There is plenty of seating inside but the parking situation can be a little hectic as there is only a small lot for a couple of cars. They share the lot with another business.

Everyone was really nice and arepa was a generous portion size. Food came out quickly too-- will be back!!

When the line is out the door, you know you chose correctly! I was around the corner with friends at Zorbas rooftop bar and Debbie needed some food- empanadas on the way! I love the vibes- the huge mural outside I have admired for years, inside the art continues- I loved the painting on the far wall and the lighting to change the colors/look. The line was moderate- I probably had the smallest order with simply one beef empanada and one chicken empanada- both were so yummy and I was thrilled to see the green dip! I only took a bite of each and left it to Debbie- but super yummy- my other half would love them here! And no that I have finally made it in, I want to try more!!!

Over all a good experience. The service was quick and the staff was super friendly our food came out pretty quickly considering it was a Friday night. My only complaint was that the arepa was extra crispy. The chicken was HOT and the plantain was perfect. Loved all the plants and how clean the restaurant looked over all.

We went here during peak lunch time (12:30 on a Saturday) and luckily were able to snatch the last table open. There was a constant influx of people going in and out! Super cool decor and a fast paced environment. Food was amazingly good. This was my introduction to Venezuelan food and dang it was a good one!!!

Yummy carryout lunch for a quick break with my daughter this week. So many wonderful options to choose from with fresh ingredients. I ordered the San Marcos arepa with black beans, avocado, and queso blanco. Definitely fork and knife eating but so good. We also got an order of fries to share and they were super crispy and delicious.

Cute little downtown spot -- small but charming, with a whole wall of avocado cuttings propagating in glass jars, which adds a nice touch of green. Walked in on a Saturday around noon and it was surprisingly calm. A few people trickling in, but not noisy at all. Great weekend vibes. You order at the counter and they bring it out to you. Service was quick and smooth. I got the Queen and the Porko Loko arepas -- both hit different notes and were really good. The Porko Loko leans a bit more American in flavor, with BBQ pulled pork energy, but it works. Salty-savory and juicy, and the cotija crumble adds a great contrast. The arepa itself is exactly what you want: crunchy on the outside, soft inside, and holds together like a sandwich. The Queen is a cold arepa filled with avocado chicken salad, and they're very generous with the avocado. Light, fresh, and creamy -- perfect balance to the richness of the pork one. We also added yuca fries (sold separately), which were hot, crispy, and not too greasy. Only knock? Would've loved a water cup option without having to buy a drink. But overall, everything was super tasty and I'd definitely come back.

One of my favorite options around town. Service is always professional and warm, food is always made to order, hot fresh and abundant. Vibes and aesthetic are always vibrant and cultured.

Ordered lunch from here while in the area. I got the chicken arepa it was delicious and loaded with meat. It came with a green sauce that was delicious as well. Only thing I'd say is it could have had a little less mayo. But other than that it was great would visit again.

Cute little spot near the beach. It's decorated so cutely with beautiful pictures. The arepas were delicious and came out quickly. I will be back!

Arepa Please is such a fun spot! I ordered the Fancy Monkey, and my friend got The Queen--both were absolutely delicious. The arepas are super stuffed, so be prepared for a bit of a messy meal (in the best way). The flavors make it totally worth it! The restaurant was clean, the staff was super friendly, and the food came out pretty quickly, which was a nice bonus. I'll definitely be back to try more of their menu!

I ordered a papaya drink, very fresh, an appetizer of fried plantain with cheese and guava sauce, and a marina combination for the entree which came with a tilapia filet, 4 shrimp, salmon, and 2 vegetable skewers. The plantain with cheese and guava sauce was new and surprisingly tasty. That's a first for me and I'd definitely enjoy it again. The entree looked great and had minimal seasoning. I added the sauces to add flavor and heat. All in all, it was too much in one sitting so I took it home. I would recommend additional seasoning for the seafood & a lemon to squeeze over it and wake up the flavor.

We got off the trolley at Stop 20, National Shrine of Our Lady of La Leche, and were going to walk to the restaurant. Unbeknownst to us, there was no crosswalk to cross the busy Ponce de Leon boulevard. Mom isn't as spry as she once was so we didn't risk crossing without a crosswalk, so we had to walk another 1/4 or so to the nearest crosswalk then doubled back to the restaurant. Located in the The Ponce St. Augustine hotel, the restaurant is just to the left of the main doors. We had to wait a bit to get seated as the lone server had to clean a table first. Service was slow. I ordered the Bistec a Caballo (medium), my wife tried their Pork de Leon with fries and my mom opted for the Inca bowl. Did I say service was slow? Our orders weren't synched up. My order and my wife's sandwich were served first and we had to wait a few minutes before my mom's dish was served. My wife liked her sandwich and fries although she thought the shredded pork was a bit dry. My mom liked the flavors of her dish, with tender cuts of meat and smoky soy sauce flavor. The Bistec a Caballo had decent flavors BUT that steak was tough, even ordered medium. I felt like I was cutting through shoe leather cutting it with the serrated knife. Slow service and a tough steak bumped our rating down. We just couldn't overlook the quality and/or preparation of my steak, even with good flavors. Lunch for 3 came out to just over $67 with tip. Oh yeah, they add a surcharge for credit card payments.

However, after multiple visits, the overall experience has not matched the level of hype surrounding the restaurant. Portion sizes relative to pricing remain the primary concern, making the value feel uneven despite the appealing setting. I work in the area and have gone with several office mates. We've tried several dishes and sandwiches but still can't understand the extreme hype. I was told the Chorizo was spicy and it was so bland I felt like I was eating Hilshire Farms kielbasa. Pros: * Outdoor Dining - Pleasant outdoor dining area that provides a comfortable place to relax * Service - Consistently friendly service and a casual neighborhood feel * Variety - Menu crafted by highly regarded chef‑owners with strong culinary credentials * Location - Murray Hill location for a laid‑back meal or meet‑up * The best dish on the menu has been the pork sandwich - which is half a sub roll and plantain chips Cons: * Pricing - Pricing feels high for the portion sizes (e.g., three chicken legs at $23) * Expectations - Overall experience does not fully align with the restaurant's reputation * Some dishes feel more modest than expected given the cost Chancho King is a great place to unwind in the neighborhood, but the pricing-to-portion balance left me wanting more.

My mom has always enjoyed Lola's Burrito & Burger Joint since they first opened and my daughter was craving their empanadas. Today's meal: Mom ordered a beef empanada (by suggestion of her granddaughter) and a side order of black beans (she's always loved black beans). My daughter, of course, order a beef empanada as well with a Mexican Street Corn on the side. Her two favorite items from here. She will literally get this every single time we come. I've been craving burgers, especially since all the fast food CEO's are "fighting" over who has the crappiest, I mean best, burger. I've never had a burger from Lola's before so today I chose the Ragin Cajun burger and I loved it. I do prefer a smash burger, but Lola's patty is a thick and juicy patty cooked to your likeness (I chose medium). Topped with bacon, cheese, lettuce, tomato, onion, and a Cajun ranch dressing. This burger was delicious. I have my favorite burgers in Jax, and this can sit in that top 5 for sure. I will definitely be more open to trying other burgers from their menu in the future, but generally speaking, if you don't know, I'm addicted to tacos and tacos are usually my "goto" here. If you haven't had a burger from Lola's and enjoy a nice beefy patty, highly recommend giving them a shot. They have a variety of different ones to choose from. Oh! I almost forgot... the French fries! I usually get chips and queso here, but opted for a side of fries today and man, their fries are great!
