What a fantastic find! This is a small restaurant, but it's exceptionally clean, beautifully maintained, and has a modern aesthetic with great Miami-style vibes. Our server was outstanding!! She was very attentive, polite, knowledgeable about the menu, and gave excellent recommendations that did not disappoint. The churrasco was cooked perfectly: a thick, high-quality cut of meat that was incredibly savory, and every side dish was just as delicious. We also ordered the chupe de camarón, and it was one of the best we've had. The portion was enormous, served in a bowl that felt more like a cauldron than a standard soup bowl! It was rich, creamy, hearty, and loaded with shrimp, egg, and cheese. They definitely do not skimp on the ingredients. The kids' meal was also impressive. The portion was generous, and the fish was well-seasoned, moist, delicate, and flavorful. If you're looking for authentic Peruvian cuisine, we highly recommend this restaurant. Never been to this Sr. Ceviche and Sí Señor, the food and drinks deliver just like the Mandarin location! Ordered the Pachacutec-named after Peru's mightiest king and whoa, at at 10.5 ABV (Alcohol by Volume) their strongest beer. Guess I will need it while tackling their yummy food on the way lol Chupe de Mariscos as soup for cold weather to warm things up, Ceviche Tropical Mixto y Duo Marino for all the seafood galore and yes they are all delicioso! Had Jugo de Mango as well that doubles down as dessert :) Gracias Ale and the Crew for the 5-Star comida y servicio. The place is really chill and very clean. It may seem strange to not get ceviche at my first visit to Sr Ceviche. Why did I go with another choice? Nostalgia. Seeing Causa on the menu brought me right back to living in Miami & ordering it at a small cafeteria near the Peruvian embassy. So enjoying it again at Sr Ceviche after more than fifteen years brought a smile to my face. I also have to compliment the service which was extremely friendly and prompt. I'll get the ceviche next visit. I ordered the Causa de Pollo- layers of mashed yellow potatoes, shredded chicken, avocado, pink sauce, topped with a boiled egg. It is on the appetizer menu so it is smaller than an entree. I also enjoyed the complimentary cancha (corn nuts) provided. read more

Outstanding new addition to the beaches! We tried the ceviche verde (mixto). It was fabulous. Everything you want a ceviche to be. Shrimp, fish, mussels, calamari in a light and bright acidic sauce. But the star of the meal was the tacu tacu especial. White rice and white beans were mixed together into a pancake. Own fried -Fluffy on the inside, crispy outside.the plantains were sweet and the meat was melt in your mouth tender. The flavors were amazing. I can't wait to come back and try more things. You can see the sign from 3rd St. So, when we saw a new name, of course we thought it would be great to try a new place! Yay! And, yes, they have a parking lot, no fee. Score! I've been to this location before when it used to be another restaurant. So, I definitely didn't expect the super cute decor upon stepping in. It's simple, clean, and visually appealing. Fun, friendly, quick service. Complimentary corn nuts and water when we sat down. We ordered the Peruvian Beers, because ... it's Peruvian, so why not? Hehe. As for food, we shared an appetizer - Chicharron de calamar (aka fried calamari) - yum! It came with fried yucca and pickled onions, too. We had to get an extra dipping sauce, because yum. Then, I got the Lomo Saltado, because I always order it at Peruvian restaurants. Good flavor, but i felt like the meat was too done for me (personal preference, since I usually order my steaks medium) but still great flavor. Rice and fries, yummm. Yes, I ate it all. My friend got the Aji de gallina and loved it. This time, we got warm food because it was a cold dreary rainy day. Next time, I definitely want to try the ceviches! This was our first visit here and we loved it! We had a Ceviche and a Lomo Sr. Ceviche. Both flavourful and freshly prepared. Both portions were well sized and had the perfect seasoning. For desert we shared a tres leches which too, was delicious. Our server was super friendly and helped us choose items to order since we never had Peruvian food. Food: the lomo Saltado was good the sauce was so savory and well rounded. The protein portion could have been larger. The ceviche de Tigre was also delicious but lacked enough protein. The chairs de pollo was really great and have nice chunks of chicken. I'd eat here again for sure but maybe ask for extra meat. Service: they were slammed and only had a few servers. The way they make and then serve drinks is a tad wonky and could probably be more effective if done differently Ambiance: was ok nothing special. It was a true 3.5 stars. read more

Finally checked out Sr Ceviche. This quaint spot had a variety of options at a great price point. We started with the Tamal, which was not our favorite. After, we split the Ceviche Mixto, which was amazing. We will definitely be back for more ceviche! We also split the Lomo Saltado, which was like a Peruvian Chinese fusion dish. I tried this gem for the first time today, but it will not be the last! My friend and I decided we would go with the waitress' recommendations and we got the fried yuca appetizer and each of us got one of the lunch samplers. Staff was so nice, always a pleasure when wait staff are the highlight of the experience. The same cannot be said about the Aji de Gallina. I've had this dish several times from several different Peruvian restaurants, but what was served to me was a bland and watery bowl of chicken. The portion of rice was small as well as not tasting great, which is hard for rice I'd think. Again, great staff, but outlandish prices for mediocre food at best. read more

Stopped by for lunch today and will definitely become a regular. Some of the best food I have eaten in a long time. On the lunch menu there are 3 trio dishes to pick from. Each dish has a trio of small servings. Kicking myself for not taking a picture or jotting down the name. So far the best Peruvian restaurant in Jacksonville . I'm Peruvian from Miami and this restaurant it will be a hit in the Neptune beach area for sure. Food is great and the service is excellent too. First off shout out to Sabor Mix - not only the best Peruvian restaurant we've ever dined at in Jacksonville (but also better than Peruvian restaurants in Orlando), which is why we keep returning to Sabor Mix again and again even though both Los Andes and Sr Ceviche are closer to us. We tried several dishes at Sr Ceviche and other than the Chaufa Quinoa Especial (fried quinoa with beef and chicken), nothing can better or match Sabor Mix in terms of flavor or value. I understand that the food Sabor Mix makes is difficult to even match, much less beat, but Sr Ceviche also charges more for a lot less protein (and relies on rice, yuca other less expensive "filler" to fill up the plate). What little meat is included is chopped into small pieces you have to hunt for in the chaufa to make it look like more meat than it is. I understand it's tough running restaurants when real inflation has been running high for years now, but just wonder if there's a little too much greed at Sr Ceviche, because you can hands down get a better dish in quantity and quality at Sabor Mix. Restaurant seems clean and simple. Also don't like the portable POS payment system where you don't get to review an itemized bill before you pay. read more
