It comes with Chaufa de Pollo, Ceviche Clásico, and Papa a la Huancaína, making it an easy way to sample a few Peruvian favorites in one order. The Ceviche Criollo ended up being my favorite dish. The fish was incredibly fresh, and the creamy yellow pepper sauce added just the right amount of richness without taking away from the bright citrus flavors. I also ordered the Tallarines Verdes con Churrasco, and the pesto pasta paired perfectly with the juicy, tender skirt steak. Great place if you are in the mood for Peruvian food. The food is delicious... my main go to plates are the lomo saltado and the tallarines verdes with chicken. Authentic and clean eating ease for the win. Delicious shrimp and fish ceviche, as well as some cooked mahi. I brought a friend who had never eaten Peruvian and we both truly enjoyed it. For added flair, we had some Inca Kola as well. Give it a shot for a different kind of soda. The service was fantastic. My only critique is that there was an unfortunate scent. As a food service type, I think the building was experiencing some drains that need to be flushed. For drinks, we ordered the Old-Fashioned Inca style (cool smoke presentation as it was served) and the Machu Picchu with 3 layers of flavors including Grenadine. It was both delicious! Sr. Ceviche completely exceeded my expectations. We went on a Thursday around 6pm and there was no wait, but as we ate, we quickly watched as the restaurant got pretty busy. Full disclosure: I speak fluent Spanish, so I communicated with the servers in Spanish only. Almost all the customers who came in were speaking Spanish too. I think the servers speak some English, but it might be limited, so just be prepared for that, but that just means the food is that much more authentic! There were only two men working the entire restaurant- from host, bartender, server, and food runner, so the service was a bit slow, but completely understandable considering the circumstances. Now on to the food! It's not pictured, but they gave the choclo (crunchy corn kernels) as a free little starter, which I looved. I also had a chicha morada, which was super refreshing. I ordered the lomo saltado, which was fantastic. They forgot to give me a steak knife, but I quickly found that the meat was so tender, I was easily able to cut it with my butter knife. Also, some lomo saltados are made with what seems to be cheap frozen fries, which really ruins the dish, but these tasted fresh and had just the right amount of crispiness. My husband ordered the arroz chaufa con pollo (basically Peruvian chicken fried rice) and WHOA. I wanted to steal his whole dish- delicious! It was sooo flavorful and I could taste ginger, scallions, and chicken in every bite. I loved it! In terms of ambiance, it's a really casual place. Super family friendly too- I saw lots of people bringing their small children. I also saw a large group of about 12 people sitting in the back, so they can accommodate large parties. The food was very good. Had the Lomo with rice and French fries. Wanted to switch French fries for patacones but not possible. Ordered patacones separately. My husband and I shared. Food came promptly. White wine should have come with iced bucket but it did not. We did not complained so I won't mark it down. Atmosphere is very nice. I'll start of by saying the food was good, however, service on the other hand, was seriously lacking. It's nice to have an authentic feeling restaurant, however, when you have waitstaff that don't speak a word of English, it makes it quiet difficult to communicate. I was glad to have a Spanish-speaking partner with me. I ordered seafood paella for dinner. The description didn't have anything other than "seafood paella" listed. After the dish came out, and not knowing it had milk/cheese in it (never have I seen a "creamy" paella before), I opted to order something else for dinner. After a bit of a discussion on the ingredients, the waiter made it seem like he was insulted and that it was my fault. This was even after I told him I would keep/pay for the first dish, and it was really quiet off-putting. My husband and I are always looking for new Peruvian places to try and we're so happy we found Sr. Ceviche! The atmosphere is very relaxed, the restaurant is small but looks clean and nice. We were seated immediately and a server came up that same second to get our drink order and drop off menus. After a long time we finally decided what we wanted (cause we wanted everything). Food came out pretty quickly. My husbands Lomo Saltado was steaming hot and created a beautiful smell at the table. We tried that first and were impressed. Each bite was packed with flavor and just the most perfect amount of every ingredient. Then we proceeded to try the Ceviche Rocoto. This is spicy but delicious. The spice level was perfect for me and it had a soft and creamy texture while still maintaining that lemony freshness that Ceviche is known for. We both cheered with a cuzqueña and enjoyed. I ordered the chocolate cake to go and in my opinion is THE BEST. The chocolate ganache was a 10/10. My go to Peruvian joint! I always get the Lomo Saltado (with side aji) and have had their papa a la Hauncaina and chicha morada. All are fantastic and my only complaint is the serving size for the lomo saltado. I like Ceviche but nobody else in my family does, so it's not likely that I will try it here any time soon. Peruvian food for the win ! Tasty Ceviche called Leche De Tigre was divine with creamy citrus sauce with fish topped with roasted corn nuts and Incan corn. The pescado A Lo Macho was nicely flavored fried white fish topped with cream sauce with calamari and shrimp. The Fiestas Yuca was a sampling of fried yuca balls topped with delicious options of beef, melty cheese and shredded chicken. This is one of the best Peruvian restaurants we've been too. As soon as we walked in, we were greeted with a friendly smile . The staff was very pleasant and attentive. Tue place was spacious and comfortable. The Cevichie Taston came with small chunks of fish, octopus and shrimp in a corn cup and was so fresh and delicious!
