Best empanadas in Jax! Especially love the shredded beef ones. Also love their green sauce. Everything seems very authentic. Anything we've ever gotten here has been delicious.

A hidden gem for sure! I looked up Burgers on Yelp and found this place and OMG I am so happy I did. La Nota has that flavor in its food that you know that food was made freshly and with lots of love. We ordered the Monstruo burger which had ham, egg, cheese, bacon and even chicken Milaneza! Best bite I've had in a while. We also had the special of the day which was a thinly sliced steak with white rice, beans and yuca (I chose this as a substitute for plantains). Everything was on point. The service was great and everyone was attentive and nice. The restaurant also has a small market that makes it feel homey. With latin music playing in the background, this was such a great experience.

Absolutely a hidden gem of a latin restaurant. This is some of the best latin food i've had anywhere. The place is very unsuspecting from he outside as it's located in a plaza where it doesn't seem a restaurant should be. They offer takeout, but you can also sit down and order if you'd like. Their menu is expansive, with platos, arepas, sandwiches, and more. I got a cuban which was delicious. The bread was grilled amazingly and the meat, mustard, and pickles all worked in tandem and made an amazing sandwich. It also comes with fries., which were surprisingly good and well cooked, alongside a salsa verde/ crema which was my favorite part. I also got to try the nota arepa, which had egg, pulled pork, and cheese on it. Admittedly it was very oily, but it was absolutely delicious. Genuinely the best arepa i've had, and dipping it / spreading the sauce in it with each bite sealed the deal. I definitely recommend this place for anyone wanting great latin food. The wait staff is super king, caring, and most importantly - the food is amazing!

If you're looking for a cute mom and pop shop for good Latin food this is it. There were no people when we arrived, but I loved that it gave me the opportunity to look over the menu and talk with staff. The owner's daughter tended to us and was super sweet. So even if you don't speak Spanish, there is someone to help. Plenty of food options. We loved the arepas, empanadas to start. Our entrees came with the main meat, rice, beans and side salad. Reminded me of home. Get the caramel cake and the cafe. The owner gave us a slice for free and I will tell you it was so delicious. I am kicking myself for not getting a picture of our entrées because the food was just everything. Truly a hidden gem that is tucked away that is worth giving a try. Also they have a mini market inside if you're missing home items or want to try something new.

This Venezuelan restaurant is on southside near my house and although convenient to get to, I had stopped coming because the service wasn't the best. My aunt and I were hungry and we decided to give it a shot. To our surprise, they've expanded their space which now is much roomier and more seating. The service was exceptional from the moment we sat down. From the waitresses to the cashier. The food was delicious as well, flavors were great. We got the tequeños which are my favorite (way better version of mozzarella sticks) not pictured because we were famished . My aunt got the mondongo which is thicker soup filled with veggies and tripe. I got the vaca frita which is essentially what you see there. We each got juices which were great as well. I certainly recommend.

The ambience is very homie and family style. The soup and pastries are fresh and bursting with flavor! The service is like going to moms house leaving there with a full happy belly. Bon appetite!!!

My friends and I fell in love with their empanadas at World of Nations. We went on a hunt to find this restaurant so we could have the empanadas again. The service is amazing. The food is amazingggggg!! We tried so much on the menu and we loved pretty much everything. 10/10 would recommend!

Really good food and customer service. Got confused with the empanadas and the food waitress helped us clear up which one was what flavor. Really delicious and nice ambiance in the restaurant during lunch time. Not "too busy" so I didn't have to sit long waiting for my order to come out. Really good experience here at La Nota...5 Stars!!!!

Is only half order of soup of chicken and meat, and is the most delicious soup ever served in the last 13 years

The food and service were amazing! It is a small family owned business. I will be back as often as I am in Jacksonville.

The Dubai chocolate croissants are insanely good, and honestly anything ube they make is a must. The flavors are always on point and everything tastes super fresh. Perfect spot when you're in the mood to treat yourself (or when you fully accept you're leaving with way more than you planned). Easily one of my favorite stops for pastries and snacks.

It might be even better if they added a few raisins to it. We'll be back for this item periodically. We also tried a mango float ($6). It was good, and had more whipped cream in it than the one I'm used to, but I've probably had slightly better examples. For $6, it's not a great value: smaller than the cinnamon roll and not as good. I might get it again, but probably not at that price. This remains one of my favorite bakeries in town, and we'll be back periodically. Update: We tried another cinnamon roll. This time we thought it was fantastic, the best thing I've eaten in a long time. 25 seconds microwaved again. We'll have to get one periodically.

For the ham and cheese tostada I could stop in every day. That bread is so heavenly. Crisp on the outside and soft a d fluffy inside. It soaks up the flavors from the ham and gives it the most delightful taste. Normally I like some kind of condiment on a sandwich but the way the ham flavors the bread leaves that tostada needing nothing at all. It is perfection. I paired it with a cafe bombon for a little treat. If you have t tried their cafe bombon you must. A shot of espresso over condensed milk is just what the coffee addict ordered. Service-10/10. It's counter service here but they don't just serve you and forget you. After bringing my coffee she noticed I didn't have napkins so went and got them for me. She brought my food later and brought me more napkins and checked to see if I needed anything else. They were so hospitable from the moment I entered until the moment I left. Atmosphere-10/10. I love the decor here. It's gives an open and welcoming vibe and is so bright and airy feeling. It invites you to sit down and enjoy your meal without rush and to sit and chat a bit while having a cafe and snacking a bit.
