This is our new favorite go to spot! Addicted to their gravy. It's so delicious. The meat lovers skillet is so good. We have also had the Corned Beef eggs Benedict which is awesome. Normally at restaurants, this type of dish is soggy but theirs was crisp and fresh! We also tried their chicken taquitos today and they were so delicious!!! Not dry, over a beautiful salad and the salsa and sauces were great too. Service is always so friendly! Definitely our new favorite spot! read more

When you walk in they just opened and space not fully furnished. Dont let that fool you because the food and the service was GREAT! I t was fairly busy and there was 1 waitress and in the back 1 cook and dood was out fast and still hot off the griddle. A friend of ours recommended this place for breakfast. The food was really good. I ended up getting the country fried steak and eggs and the gravy was absolutely amazing!! Parking was very easy and there was plenty of it. unfortunately other businesses around this restaurant have gone out of business which is why there's so much parking. there is both inside and outside seating. there is a cafe film of this restaurant which we really liked. We found this restaurant because of a Google search and we found a post that said this restaurant had the best breakfast in all of Simi Valley....that statement could not have been more correct! The food here is fresh, cooked to order, and has a ton of flavor! The service overall was very good and employees were very attentive to the customers dining outside. Probably the only thing that I wish was a little better where the pancakes. The size was great however I'm used to pancakes that are very fluffy and these pancakes weren't very fluffy at all and a little bit spongy. That's my own personal preference and by no means is a deal-breaker. This restaurant is a great place to eat and I'll be coming back on a regular basis. read more

One of our favorites!! Armando always makes sure to deliver fresh hot coffee and whipped cream! The hash browns are always cooked just like I like them, extra crispy. I never get a waitstaff delivering undercooked hash browns and asking if it's ok. They make them right the first time which is why I keep coming back!! The California Benedict is delicious and my husband loves the corned beef hash Benedict. The crew there is always friendly and funny, a sign that they're happy!! Love love love Ferretiz Grill! They have the best California Benedict! The staff are really personable, and they tend to recognize you only after a few times of going. I've noticed they remember most of their costumers, which I find really sweet. The waiters are also so kind, great service. Really homey feeling place, and the prices are good for what you get! Unplanned stop, and I'm glad we did! Really small place but has great outside seating with heating lamps (was a really chilly day). There were no more seats inside so we decided to sit outside! Really great and attentive staff. We were asked for our drink orders within minutes. And after placing an order the food arrived quickly. It was fresh and delicious. We had the best service here today! The chef/owner was so kind and engaging. He listed off a few of his favorites for us but then told us he could accommodate any requests. Super nice and welcoming!! We got the breakfast enchiladas for the table. The red sauce was delicious, nice fresh corn tortillas, tons of cheese and the eggs were done perfectly! I got the chili verde omelette which was massive!! Tons of delicious chili verde sauce, the pork was a little dry but still good. The potatoes were absolutely outstanding though. Such amazing flavor, perfect crunch on the outside and super well seasoned and fluffy inside. My son got the breakfast combo and everything looked great, he ate the entire thing! My husband got the corn beef hash Benedict and couldn't get enough! Their homemade salsas were fresh and soooo delicious. My husband fell in love with the chipotle salsa and covered his hash browns in it. Yum! My son and I liked the habanero salsa a ton and the regular salsa had the best fresh flavor! Check your order!! I was the only one in the restaurant and I ordered a breakfast burrito with hashbrowns, and the strawberry French toast. I got neither. They gave me a pancake combo which didn't taste good, and a plain set of French toast with a side of eggs. They have a major Quality Assurance problem, so make sure you check your food. Unfortunately I live on the complete opposite side of town so I won't be getting what I had actually ordered. I don't understand how they messed up this badly? Nonetheless, I will not be going back. What a great place for breakfast. We were greeted very quickly in a lonely restaurant seeking a late morning breakfast. Our drink order was placed and delivered quickly since we were the only customers in the restaurant. After browsing the menu which has traditional breakfast and lunch items including eggs, bacon, omelets, and burgers. I went with one of the daily specials, the Coloradito Omelet served with potatoes and choice of bread or tortillas. The dish came out fresh and scorching hot. So glad I picked this dish, the Colorado beef was so tender and flavorful, the eggs dense and fluffy, and potatoes crispy and seasoned perfect. Based off this experience I would go back to this restaurant the next time I'm in the area. Service was great, food was high quality, and prices were reasonable. Enjoy! read more

Although the chorizo and salsa were quite delicious, it was disappointing to know that the meal doesn't come any longer with beans as it is the best pairing as shown in older pics at the website. The house potatoes are just ok as there is nothing special about them. I would recommend the restaurant to add a piece of foil to the bottom of styrofoam containers as the food heat almost melts the container prior to using them as could cause an accident in addition to being unhealthy. The service was quite quick and attentive. The ambiance was lacking as the restaurant is in pretty rough shape. The back of the booth near the counter was totally ripped off and showed the wood structure, the decorations falling from the wall and the small strip of border coming off from the walls held by pieces of tape. I will suggest to Management to perform a face-lift. Removed the clutter from the counter of the restaurant as this will be more appealing to the patrons and business will increase. I will definitely come back and patronize it if the ambiance is improved as right now I won't want to bring any family or friends to it. The patio sitting is not very appealing either as the area is very loud, windy, and isolated. read more

The business itself is small, and you can tell there are a LOT of regulars who come in for some socializing on Sundays. And these folks deserve their loyal customers. I have been going to this nice cafe for several years, the owner changed a few months ago, that's ok things went on as normal, really good food, service ambiance, last month as the winter was approaching I noticed it wasn't very warm and comfortable, they have been expanding which is allways nice to see, but two weeks ago I went in at 8 am they open at 7, the expansion was complete, good for them, but it was so cold, the waitress was nice and said its warmer in here( the original side of restaurant" my goodness the thermostat said 62 degrees, Im sorry but I don't care how nice you are, how good your food is, I will not sit in a cold restaurant, so I left, I apologize but I was rude, anyway I ran into the Amazing cook that works there and he was so sweet he asked what happened? you didn't even have coffee, I told him what happened, and the new news is that there is now another new owner, WELL IDK if I will return again, sold twice in 6 months?? and NONE cares to turn on the heat?? My family and I ordered our dishes to go and it was ready pretty quickly. Looking from outside, it seems quite busy and we went on a weekend. We all love Benedict's so we got a few. I got the California benedict as I love avocados. I really liked my meal and the fruits were delicious. It went perfect with the benedict. My family also liked their potatoes and hash browns. My mom got the benedict with the corn beef and that was really god as well! Also the food isn't too expensive either! It's a great place to eat or take to go. Food was just ok. Got a veggie cheese omelette with small bowl of fruit and sourdough toast. The veggies in the omelette were undercooked. There was not enough cheese in the omelette so the veggies just spilled out whenever I cut the omelette. The salsa that comes with the omelette was bland and watery. Fruit also didn't seem fresh (seemed few days old; soggy) and the toast was burnt. Service was good but they "checked in" too many times -- at least 6-7 times to the point that it was annoying/disruptive to our brunch/conversation. I probably won't come back. read more
