Updated 1/22/20: I purchased my CX5 from this Mazda dealer and the salesperson was incredible! This said, I bought the oil change package and have taken it here twice for oil changes. I had appointments both times and waited almost two hours for each. The second appointment also fixed my squeaky brakes but both services weren't started till I'd been there over 50 min. Buy your car here, but don't have it serviced here. Groove Mazda is so much better if you can find an open appointment there. The available appointments at Schomp are an indication if the horrid service. I love my CX5 though! read more

Definitely a 5-star experience with Schomp Mazda. Our salesman (client adviser) Erik Witt actually detoured us to their store while we were driving to Denver from Colorado Springs to look at vehicles at a different dealership by sending us a personalized, very descriptive video of the actual CX-9 we ended up purchasing. He followed that up with an additional email sweetening the deal they had already sent us. We thought someone this motivated deserved our first consideration, and we're very happy we did. Erik was waiting for us with the specific vehicle when we arrived at the dealership. We were very pleased the vehicle fit the exact description, to include exterior and interior colors and features, we had requested. Erik was not the typical, high pressure salesman that makes purchasing a car more painful than a tooth extraction. He actually knew the vehicle and its features very well and thoroughly explained everything to us. Their motto is one person, one price and one hour, so we didn't have to deal with a separate loan officer in the sales process and we dealt specifically with the price of the vehicle and our trade, not the payments (until it was time). The sales manager on duty, Justin Albrecht, was equally honest and informative and we definitely feel like we got the best deal possible before we signed the paperwork. Yes, we did purchase an extended warranty, but we always do because of all the computer components on vehicles these days, but we were not pressured in any way and received a fair price (we always do our homework before buying a car). No, we didn't get out within an hour, but we extended our time there by asking a multitude of questions and both Erik and Justin were very courteous and efficient in getting us answers. Bottom line, by far the best car buying experience we've ever had and gladly recommend Schomp (and specifically Erik Witt) to any potential Mazda buyers. read more

I like going to dealerships to get my car serviced for the convenience and the professionalism, but it has been the complete opposite here. Everything was a disaster! From the service advisors calling me to "ball park prices" when I specifically asked for the actual price to the technicians saying they're not allowed to fix one piece of the car without doing the other piece, even though it didn't have to be fixed. I will never come here again. This was the worst mechanical experience of my life. read more

Dont waste your time here, place is a joke. Stopped in to see if they could take a look at my Mazda which had the check engine light come on and got nothing but bad attitudes the whole time I was there. I called the day before to see how late they were open and if I could come drop my car off. Lady said they were open till 6 and could drop it off any time before that. Got there at 5 and the guy working the receptionist desk acted like I insulted him by trying to bring my car in that late. Then told me they only take cars by appointment. So I try to make an appointment then he gives me some vague answer of we might be able to see it next week but I'd have to leave the car there until they "might" be able to get it in. So I left and went to Mazda of Lakewood. They were very polite and got my car in right away. Car was fixed in less than a day and it runs great now. I'll never step foot inside Shortline Mazda again! I've enjoyed all my experiences with Shortline Mazda- the car buying experience was easy, by far the cheapest in the Denver metro, and friendly. The test drive was more informative than other Mazda dealerships, and the staff was very flexible in getting us the exact car body, make, interior, and configuration. They were even able to help us determine the unlisted but orderable roof rails and roof rack, and include+install as a part of the car package. I was not the huge fan of the 'stylish' line of paint they add to the side of the car, as I've seen other cars in the area with the same detail and it seems to fade/chip. Luckily since they traded with another dealership for my car, they didn't add the line to our car. Also, I've been told all my life to never get any work done at the dealership (too overpriced), but so far the oil changes, rotations, and light maintenance we have needed has been affordable, efficient, and provided with quality service. The staff in the maintenance division are upfront, respectful and flexible. I would recommend anyone purchasing a Mazda to visit this store. read more

Today, with just 69,000 miles on it, the car has been condemned with a bad transmission, throttle body, turbo and timing. Never buy used from these guys. I recently contacted the dealership regarding an issue with a 5 year Crystal Fusion windshield protection plan sold to me by Schomp Mazda and Bego Karalic. The administrator for the plan is Innovative Aftermarket Systems L.P. (IAS). Neither Bego nor the sales manager responded to my communication requests about the issue I was facing. I recently made a windshield claim which was declined by IAS for making the claim more than 30 days after the windshield indicent. IAS indicated that the contract contained a list of Exceptions that are detailed on page 2. Bego gave me a folder of documents which I kept in the glove compartment, and unfortunately, I never received the Exceptions page. To make matters worse, the contract dictates that if the windshield is not replaced by the policy, the windshield must be replaced by Shortline Mazda in Aurora, CO. When I purchased the car, I had traveled from Oklahoma City to Denver which is an 8 hour drive. Bego was aware during our visit that we lived in OK, and in spite of the travel complication, he recommended the plan for me. Safelite charges about $700 to replace the windshield, and the IAS Crystal Fusion contact cost $1099. So, essentially the price of the windshield will be $1799, and at that price, I could have bought 2.6 windshields. read more

Their motto is, "One price, one purchase, one hour." My Client Assistant was Micah W. and he was a very patient person. However, my suv purchase was well over two hours. Micah had to keep checking in with his " finance person" upstairs. 1. I came in armed with all of the appropriate paperwork regarding my vehicle trade in that I owned. 2. My personal check for my deposit was correct. 3. I reported that my Fico score was 805. Once they pulled my Transunion report my score was around 830 and I use less than 10% of my available credit between my credit cards and home equity accounts. Perfect buyer/seller scenario. However, I suffer from Sciatic nerve pain on both sides of my body which I had previously stated to Micah as my reason for trading in my perfectly fine low mileage sedan. So why did it take so long? Were they so surprised of my credentials that they had to check and re-check to see if they had the right person. Not a fluke? Two hours of pacing and or adjusting my position in my chair left me in a lot of pain. All that I could do was immediately leave, return home and stretch out in bed. My purchase was completed on 7/22/2020. I didn't complain nor raise a fuss because of my pain. I was afraid that I would get "ugly" with my words all because of my excruciating pain. Remember, I Am a Black woman and I didn't want the usual stereotype to Kickin! So imagine my disbelief when he finally returned to his seat and stated..."Oh, your Fico score isn't 805 it's 830. Thank you for paying your bills on time!" At that time I'm, thinking..."And your point is?" Background-I'm a Senior, I'm a woman and I'm of African American descent. Now for part two...I was given a "We Owe" agreement for some work that they promised to fix on my suv. Today is , August 5, 2020 and three phone calls later (one by way of a message because I was transferred over to another line) regarding this agreement. ( 7/24 and 7/31) On 7/29/2020, the Sales Manager, Thomas Daniel sent me an email asking to talk by way of email, phone or text message regarding the purchase of a Cx-5. I informed him, through a text message, that I finalized the purchase of my vehicle on July 22, however, would he be available to help me with my repairs by way of a contact person, appointment, etc. He has Never acknowledged my request. I'm giving this review 2 stars just because our salesman Jeff was amazing. Otherwise it would be a 1! My husband and I were told by a friend to come this location, he thought we would get a great deal and sadly that was not the case. When we got here we were very straight forward with what we wanted...low car payments on a lease and the lowest downpayment possible. I was in a car accident last October and have not leased a vehicle since then, I thought this would be the perfect time to start looking again. Why not right? The sales manager told us to look around, test drive a couple of cars, and come back when we "fell in love". Big mistake, I fell in love. Jeff the salesman was great! He was very knowledgeable and made sure to answer all of the million questions I had. I wish the sales manager would have been as pleasant. After telling him I knew I wanted the Cx5 and asking what he could do for me payment wise he made a very inappropriate comment saying, "I didn't know you were gonna pick a 30 thousand dollar car". I was extremely disappointed when he didn't even attempt to work with me in any way and just dismissed my husband and I completely. Price was not an issue, monthly payments were my main concern. The only good experience coming here was having Jeff show me the car I really wanted. Anyway we went to McDonalds Mazda and now I'm a happy camper with the car I fell in love with! Best part? Recently, my fiance and I traded in our old two door coupe for a Mazda 2 and a Mazda 3. One car into two! Shane and Johny were superty-duper helpful in showing us their inventory, making sure we were comfortable, and being expedient about the work. Finance was a breeze, everyone was hella friendly. Shortline Mazda was wonderful- a true gem. Went there over 10 years, not a single complaint. Schomp bought them out and could not be worse. I don't see how I could ever go back. They don't have a working or real shuttle service, they don't return emails or phone calls, they can't remember appointments scheduled (they lost online scheduled appointments as well as ones scheduled by phone), they are nowhere close to timely in their completion of service/body work- my car sat there over a day when there was a scheduled appointment before they even started the work- which lead to a costly rental. Communication is horrible and no one seems to care about the quality of their work or customer service. They are also rude with customers and the staff seem to be using a computer system that they have difficulty logging on to or finding any information in. If you want quality work done in a timely manner and don't want to be treated like crap, go elsewhere. read more

Took my Mazda RX8 in because it was barely driving. They said that my engine failed and I needed a new engine. They were immediately asking me questions about my finances and if I wanted to buy a new car. I decided to take it to a shop that doesn't work on Mazda RX8s but is a friend of the family. They said the engine was fine and that the clutch was toast. Put in a new clutch and I've been driving the car just fine for about two years now. Now I'm not saying the engine is perfect, the engine dies in these cars like crazy. It might be dying who knows, but the fact that they were so quick to say the car is toast and went immediately to the sales pitch really irked me. The fact that the car has been driving amazingly for the past two years when they said it was toast makes me not want to take my car in for service there anymore. Ol' rusty (2004 Honda Civic) had been needing to retire from the Big Leagues, so we stopped by here two months ago to check year-end deals. There was no pressure to buy. Two months passed and we got what we exactly needed today (2017 Mazda CX-3 Sport). In regards to how they treat their customers, we were treated with patience and accommodation. It was the craziest, stressful week out of the year so far for us and they were there to help, for sure. Once we settled on a lease, what I would've wished was maybe an added useful feature or simple car accessory that we were needing that could've been thrown in complimentary for convenience like what the other review stated, especially since this is a first Mazda (hence the minor -1 star ding), but it is what it is. Might've been a bit over one's own personal budget for a Sport trim when all was said and done, but there were perks much better than dealing with all the super unwanted add-ons/fees and unending salestalk drudgery over at Mile High Honda, ultimately. Or the mundane feeling of going for a decently priced Toyota Corolla that's still, well, just a Corolla at the end of the day. There is transparency here. Just come in at a decent time with what's needed to make the deal viable and you should really be able to get what you want. Happy to have a fresh Mazda in the garage now. The sales (Ryan) and finance team facilitated help with so much professionalism and flexibility. Made us newbies to Colorado feel good about the new move. Wasn't an easy one. My hope is the first oil change and tire rotation goes smoothly and that we enjoy getting to know the other staff like we did our first time entering the business. If I could give zero stars I would! Just by luck we didn't get taken advantage of! We brought our daughter's Mazda 3 to Shortline because she works close to this business. We were told that her struts were leaking and she would need new struts. We were there to have the transmission flushed and they came out to tell us about these leaky struts! We left there and decided that we would call around for prices since this is about a $700 expense. We settled on another Mazda dealership and made an appointment. This new dealership came to talk to us because they started the job and discovered that the struts were just fine and wanted to know who told us that the struts were leaking? Long story short...... there was nothing wrong with the struts! Total con job by Shortline! If this wasn't a con job, then their caliber of employees is pretty poor and they have no business working on cars! One piece of good news!!! We have been able to talk to our friends and family and steer everyone away from this unethical business!!! We saved ourselves $700 dollars and will probably cost Shortline thousands more as we continue to tell folks about our near miss!!!! PEOPLE BEWARE!!!! read more

My wife and I were buying a vehicle we leased from Schomp Mazda and paying cash. We were going to use a trade of our 2017 Ford Escape. It was hit in the front and repaired prior to us purchasing it from Mike Naughton Ford. There was only 59000 miles on the Ford. After running the car face on the Ford, shopmaster creditors at 15,000 in value for the trade. The salesman said that was manager and finalize the quote. The manager came back after looking the vehicle over and said they would have been hit in the front end and the rear. This is not true at all. The Carfax stated that the cars have been hit for in the front or but not both. Colossus said that one of the tires was not the correct blue and didn't match the other three rooms on the car. Also that was wrong. We went out to look at the car another one same exactly and the car was not hit in the back. He's still refuse to give us the original offer and offered us $14,500 for it instead. He flat out lined to us and didn't even apologize. I am extremely upset with Schomp Mazda and wouldn't recommend anyone doing business with this company. read more

I finally got them to offer me a car for a fair market price and after I got it inspected they decided to try to raise the price dramatically. The car they sold me was a Lemon! I wasn't able to safely drive the car off the lot. The car I purchased was there for over a week getting "fixed" for the 4th time, and when I asked for a refund and or a refinance and they wouldn't do it. The manager told my grandfather to be quiet because it's non of his business when he was asking questions about the car. They have VERY Bad customer service  and salesmanship.  And now a month later I took it into get routine maintenance and they found a another problem with the car. So far the car has had a window motor replacement, the rear light bulbs replaced ,  an alignment,  all rotor and brakes replaced, and now it needs an oil leek fix.  If this sounds ideal for you, and if you like to be taken advantage of, then this is the place for you to purchase your next vehicle.  If not, then take my advice,  and never do service here. read more

(NOTE: It's Shortline Mazda now). RE: repair shop. I've been going to these guys with my 1994 Mazda for 20 years. I'm blond and completely clueless about mechanics, so I just said to them: Don't screw me over (and trust me, I've had car-repair companies do that in the long-ago past) and I'll be your best customer. I took my car in for oil changes every 3,000 miles and as it continued to age, we had an agreement that I just wanted to know about needed repairs that were dire. Thankfully, they honored that agreement. This year for the first time, my beloved Mazda didn't pass its emissions inspection in February. I took it to Gateway (now Shortline), got a tuneup and some pre-emissions-inspection advice about not idling it in line and warming it up and whatnot. I followed all the instructions and it passed. I have worked with Nate, the service advisor, for the last few years. Great guy, honest and very calm (I like that when I'm freaked out about my car). Just this week, I jumped the broom and bought a 2011 Honda. I trusted Nate and his crew to look over my new purchase and do an inspection (just needed fresh eyes, since it was certified by Honda) to try to find any major issues. Clean bill of health. Yay. Best of all: He didn't charge me. Wow. He said it's because they just did a basic look-see. I had NO problem with that. The only reason they get four stars instead of five is because the second, new service advisor was sort of testy and difficult to communicate with. At least in my experience. He may be skilled and he may be a great guy, but right now I'm comfy dealing only with Nate. Also, my favorite mechanic is no longer around, after the change to Shortline. Bummer! I've still got my '94 Mazda, so it will continue to be taken care of here. I'm even considering doing my Honda oil changes here too (but it's still under warranty, so have to do other stuff with Honda). Bottom line: Whenever possible, I'm definitely still in. read more
