I've always been a big Schlotzsky's fan so of course I loved my food. One of the best French dips I've had and that is always my go to sandwich anywhere. I wish ordering and receiving the food would have gone smoother. There were 2 women already eating there food when we arrived other than that we were the only other party. Each item had to be repeated to the girl on the register multiple times before she could get it into the system. Receiving the food I don't even understand what happened there. The lady in the kitchen preparing the food who didn't have the best attitude prepared and brought out each order as if they had been individual and separate orders although it was 2 salads and 3 sandwiches. read more

Quick service, both at counter and bringing food to the table -- as a matter of fact, I've never seen food delivered to the table this fast at ANY Schlotzeky's! They got a large, complicated order exactly right. They also delivered it to each of us, knowing who got which sandwich! Really, super good service!! Restaurant run right! I love Schlotsky's but this location is one of the worst ones I have ever been to. I have eaten jere twice and each time I had to repeat myself multiple time just for them to ignore my requests and just make my order wrong. Unfortunately I am always passing through Amarillo so I can never get them to remake it. read more

This place loves to lock its doors on busy hours. They had a sign that said outage on this part of town. But their lights are on. I've been in there where when they have 3 or more people in line they would go and lock their doors. Owners losing a lot of business. read more

We stopped here and perhaps an off night. We ordered a Reuben sandwich on rye, a bowl of soup, a pick two soup and salad, and cinnamon roll. We ordered ahead. It took forever to receive the food. We paid $36 and received two Reuben's one on rye the other white, the cinnamon roll, a cup of soup that appeared to be the bottom of the pot and dried out. Everything else was cold. They did not give us the salad or bowl of soup ordered. We also ordered two chips - one regular the other jalapeño --they gave two regulars. They apparently could care less for what they threw in the bag. So whoever was working at 6:30 pm on 2/20 should be ashamed. A poor establishment that needs better workers. read more

Exceptional service from Erica and the rest of the staff for us newbies. They have an immense and diverse menu from flatbreads, soups, sandwiches, etc. From healthy to hearty and everywhere in between, you can eat to your hearts desire. My friend chose the Original Sandwich on sourdough and added a Cinnabon for desert. I elected for the Pick 2: Turkey and Guacamole wrap with the broccoli cheddar soup. Outstanding choice I might add. We were such good customers they gave us a bottle of hot sauce on the house. The next time we road trip from Vegas out this way I'll be sure to stop by again. read more

On my most recent cross country excursion, I stopped in Amarillo for an evening and ended up eating here since it was just across the street from my hotel. I wasn't 100% confident in my decision to eat there, but I didn't have a whole lot of other options that were within walking distance (I was driving a 26' UHaul, so finding convenient parking elsewhere would have been kind of an issue). It turned out to be pretty good, although not quite what it used to be based on some historical information that I acquired following my visit. They had a relatively large variety of sandwich options and I was unsure of what to try; I asked the order attendant of her opinion and she didn't seem too sure herself. They had just introduced a brisket melt that seemed intriguing and was apparently a popular customer choice, but I decided to go with the Tuscan Ciabatta which ended up being a very well crafted array of toppings: "Hand-carved roasted turkey breast, bacon, Provolone and Swiss cheeses, chipotle pesto, cilantro, roasted red peppers, chipotle mayo, avocado, field greens and tomatoes on ciabatta" (that's taken directly from their website). The broccoli & cheese soup was also pretty tasty, so I was a satisfied customer. I chatted with my parents on the phone later that evening and they remembered Schlotzky's from back in their days of living in Texas. They said that their gimmick used to be that their buns were baked fresh, as in they didn't go in the oven until your order was placed fresh. Obviously the wait would have been a little bit longer, but it's tough to beat bread just out of the oven. As a chain that has expanded to an international level, Schlotzky's clearly isn't baking their bread on such short notice anymore - but there is a lot to choose from and it is still pretty excellent food. I've eaten the original sandwich many times and it's always good. However this time was the worst. There was a ton of sauce and I couldn't get enough scraped off to make it edible. I told them no onions but they put onions on it anyway. I took them off but I couldn't do anything about the smell or flavor. I ended up throwing it away. What a waste of money. I ordered thru Doordash and tried to get a refund but they require pictures. I had put it in the trash and took it to the dumpster due to smell and there was no way for me to get pictures. So not happy with Doordash and with schlotzskys!!! read more

If you enjoy an hour wait time and eating your salad with a spoon. This is your place. Also don't order vinegar and oil dressing. Apparently they ran out of vinegar. You only get one chance to make a first impression. I'm not impressed. read more

Ordered for family of four. Food was good. Order was out quickly even though several customers. Bathrooms are okay for an emergency only stop, they are tidy but only one stall for each restroom. Would stop there again on my way through town. read more

The restaurant on Ross St, be very careful with your order if you are not dining in. They will rip you off on your order and all you will get is an "i am sorry for our mistake" time after time they will not give you what you ordered and paid for. I call that stealing and with no remorse or action from their managers to correct the issue. I Will Not return to this incompetent restaurant!! read more

It's schlotzky's and man I love me some slotzsky's, but unfortunately this place is just not it. Maybe it was because it was close to closing time so I will forgive them for not having any cinnamon rolls, but when the kid in back is in such a hurry building my sandwich to build it properly that's just not right. I even asked him if he was making me the deluxe original and he just looks at me. I get back to my room and sure enough I have a regular original now I'm missing the double meat with wilted lettuce. Potato soup and Cinnabon products were good, according to my daughter, but the turkey sandwich was a major disappointment. Their lunch meat reminds me of Budding brand lunch meat! I haven't been to one of these places in years because while the food was tasty, the amount they charged for a sandwich (something I make very easily and very well at home) was a poor value proposition, but the weekly flier contained a buy one, get one coupon that I thought would surely make this worth it - at least with the coupon. The girl at the counter suggested I try the chicken avocado flatbread and the turkey club. Both tasted fine, but the price was about $9 after tax for one serving - so about $4.50 for each. These were simple bits of pastry about 1 foot by 3 inches with maybe 2-3 oz. of grilled chicken and an ounce of avocado on top - plus an aoli drizzle. That is about $1 of product including the cost of packaging and they normally charge $9 for it! Plus, the labor involved is literally sprinkling some grilled chicken on a piece of flatbread, putting it in the oven and then when it heats up, adding some bits of avocado and the aoli. . . that's faster and easier to assemble than a Subway sandwich. This is before buying a drink or chips, etc. so. . . well, I'm amazed that anyone goes here. Don't get me wrong. I usually spend ~$10 when eating and I don't mind it, but you go to Punjabi Affair and get some delicious curry that comes with rice, naan, and that crunchy thing I never eat for that amount or get a burger and a side of animal fries from Yellow City Street Food. This place is the kind of rip-off you expect to find at a tourist location, but it's a chain restaurant. However, the staff was friendly and clearly had a sense of urgency. Plus, the restaurant was kept immaculately clean, so despite the fact that I'll never go back based purely on the low value, I have to give it a bonus star for being well-managed. read more

Always great!! It's a sandwich but so much more. It's warm plus you get a pickle spear. And the tea and lemonade choices are a nice perk.

My wife and I enjoy eating here quite often. Jesse and the team do a great job. Great food and great customer service. Love the barbecue chicken pizza and the chipotle shrimp flatbread. Quick and fast, quality and fresh food! Today we went with 2 other co-workers and we all enjoyed the original as part of their tax day special, the place was packed out, but we did not wait long for the food. read more

It tasted good, 4 stars for taste. The problem is if you order anything in detail like: gluten-free bun, two slices pepperjack cheese, double basil, double veggies, double roasted peppers...then forget it. I got half of the order and it was about 1/4 deep total of veggies with 4 inch high bun- bread. I left hungry and i had the $4 bowl of soup. I'm under 140lbs and this $11 dollar sandwich and soup was about enough food for a 8 year old. If you're passing along on the interstate and need a tasty, filling meal, you could do a lot worse than here! Their pizzas are so good and fresh. Also lots of great sandwiches. Pizzas are a little pricey but definitely worth every bite. Biggest issue about this location is trying to get there is a little tricky, on account of construction. But especially if you are westbound on I-40, I say stop here. You won't regret it! Oh and the staff at the counter are very helpful and nice. read more

Went there because the nearby IHOP shut down, and it sure beat McDonald's. Was not at all disappointed.. Lady at the counter was a charm and the sandwich was exactly what I expected. After sitting down and finishing my meal, the manager came to my table to make sure I had everything i needed. That was totally unexpected! Found out new management has just taken the store. Certainly headed in the right direction here, and would not hesitate to visit again. PS... The Cinnamon Roll I took home was amazing! read more
