January 24, 2016. My car battery was dead. A call to AAA brought Bryon #31028 within 30 minutes (he would have arrived earlier but I'm in a gated community and hard to find). He had a hand held machine that confirmed the battery was dead and "needs replacement". Where do I get a battery on a Sunday morning, 9:45AM?? Bryon carries one in his truck and replaced it within 10 minutes. He went over the warranty and I was on my way to an event in SF. Bryon is courteous, friendly, competent and speedy. He got there in less than 25 minutes, and quickly loaded my car on the truck, and then brought me to a nearby mechanic without issue. Avoid this scam operation, even if you have to pay double the cost with another service provider. My vehicle (late model with only 28k miles) developed transmission failure immediately following drop off (arranged tow due to lost key). The repair bill for said transmission damage is $7,421, and was not honored by the vehicle's warranty due to "human error." Save tow, as expected, denied responsibility and lied about their conduct leading to said damage. This company will destroy your vehicle and weasel their way out of liability via deceptive ways, passing blame on the vehicle owner. read more

Horrible miserable mean bitter lady answering phones. Car was towed, I was stranded, I had money & paperwork needed to pick up car 30 minutes before closing. They were on the phone for 20 minutes before I was told I had incorrect papers. Wouldn't allow me to tell her this is all I was told to bring and I wanted to talk to a manager. She still never told me what was needed to release the car. But said I needed to leave and couldn't talk to a manager because she can't work overtime and she would charge me $110 more for staying on the property. Normal I'd ask for a person's name I speak with, this time I forgot. My car broke down, I needed a help. Last Wed. I had a breakdown on I 680. After (2) Hours of sitting on the freeway a Savetow Truck showed up. By this time, I was fairly upset about my car and having to wait so long. I want to say that my disposition changed when Byron the tow truck driver arrived. He was professional and proficient while positioning the car for tow. He also was courteous and understanding of how I might be feeling. Glenn provided OUTSTANDING service for my truck which could no longer change gears. I had it towed to my mechanic days earlier where it sat, understandably at first bc it was not scheduled, but it continued to sit. After so many years bringing 3 vehicles I felt taken for granted and began to suspect my truck was sitting unprotected outside. Knowing they don't work Sundays I called on a Sat only to find out the owner was out and it wouldn't be worked on or secured until at least Tuesday. So I called AAA for another tow and enter Glenn and SaveTow. I needed the truck for work I was doing but not as a daily driver. Glenn was able to get under the truck and confirm or change the gear manually into Neutral and BY HIMSELF move and steer this full size truck to his tow truck. He explained how it works in case this happened to me in an isolated area. He was very personable, positive and knowledgeable. Glenn towed my truck to Harry's Auto who said they'd take a look and keep it SECURED over the weekend. He and I drove separately and got crushed in traffic near the fairgrounds, but he never lost his patience or professionalism. In the next 3 mos I put almost $7K into this truck at Harry's, more than the blue book, but less than what I'd pay for something comparable. But this about THE tow person you WANT to show up during crunch time. He did by himself what my old mechanic shop failed to do as a staff: move the damn truck so it could get FIXED. Byron deserves a raise! With the rain today, my 16 yr old hydroplaned and spun her car 180 degrees off a twisty road and came to rest just on the edge of a steep ravine. I came to the scene, and the owner of the property, not even concerned for my daughter's physical or mental state, was screaming at how she would pay for his broken wire fence. She was in shock and in pain, and crying too after being berated. Through that and police issues, Byron was a warm and calming presence. He was the most caring person we dealt with. He waited patiently until the car was released by the police, carefully returned the car to where I wanted it at my home, and then asked if he could help me exchange the broken hubcaps with replacement ones I happened to have. I would like to thank Save Tow namely Darrell who picked me up yesterday in Pleasanton bc my cars tires weren't balanced /aligned and I was slipping dangerously in the rain. He towed me back to San Francisco in traffic but he did so safely and with a kind disposition . I really appreciated it .
