I called AAA for service and Save Tow of Livermore called me saying that they would send someone out. Not even 5 minutes after they called to confirm someone was on the way, they called back asking if my driveway was gravel, because if it was, they would not come out because of recent rains. Um, ok. Fair enough. No, it is 100% paved with zero gravel, so where did you get that idea???? Moving on...
Tracking the guy, he was getting closer. App said he arrived, which he did not. Where the hell is he??? No call. Still waiting, giving the benefit of the doubt. Finally called. The b.s. response astonished me. (My best, most accurate summary) "Your vehicle is 100 feet from a paved road, the road is a dirt road, it is not well maintained and is not safe for the driver." IS THIS A JOKE??????
My driveway is, once again, 100% paved. AAA was out here less than 6 months ago and over the course of many years, numerous times!!!!! I stated that again, and they kept spouting the same crazy, imaginary nonsense. So I bluntly demanded that the lazy bastard get his butt back to help me out. BRENDA told me to take it up with AAA and hung up on me.
But wait! There's more! AAA calls and I do my best to explain the insanity to them. They say what Save Tow told them. So....I'm lying that my driveway is paved???? Obviously, there was a mistake. Ok, it happens, let's move on. The driver got the wrong address. (Don't ask how.....GPS anyone????). I tell them to try again, even offering to meet them at the foot of the driveway on the main road to make sure they get the correct address. Waiting. Waiting. Waiting.
Called AAA back. Nobody was on their way and nobody called to tell me! They stated once again the driveway was not well maintained and that is was too dangerous. Holy. Fricken. Crap. How many times do I have to beat you over the head to get you to realize that you obviously went to the wrong address?!?!! Our neighbors, about 50 feet down the road, are making a new driveway and so far it is only dirt, but it should have been clear to the Save Tow driver according to GPS and house/mailbox numbers that it wasn't my address!!!!!! So in desperation, my property owners got on the phone to try and state, AGAIN, that we have a paved, safe driveway and that as AAA members for over a decade, that we have had AAA out dozens of times. It fell on deaf ears. Apparently, the Save Tow driver was such a dim witted, lazy, yellow bellied bastard that he fabricated a story in order to not drive up an inclined, yet paved, driveway that he had his employers convinced that I, the customer, does not know the difference between pavement and dirt and gravel. WOW.
So...did they ever own up to it and send someone out? Nope!
To whoever drove the truck: You are completely incompetent.
To Save Tow: You suck. You refused to listen to your customer and refused to make any attempt at making things right. I hope Karma bites you in the bottom and you go out of business. read more
