After my tire completely blew out and went flat, I was stuck on a major highway at a bend. It was pretty scary and I was anxious to get some help. Russ showed up about 20 mins after I called and he was very sweet. He got me on the tow truck right away, drove me over to a rest area and changed my tire quickly. After 20 mins and $225, I was back on the road. Unfortunately, I didn't have a spare tire but rather a donut. Russ was concerned about the car drive I had home and I could just tell he really cared. We unfortunately ran our diesel truck to zero gas. We walked to gas station, no diesel. We Ubered to diesel gas station, we were left there and they were closed! We walked to the next gas station, luckily they had diesel. Walked the 20 minutes back to our truck. That wasn't enough to get our truck started. We called Norms Towing first. Without hesitation, they were coming out within 20 minutes. They showed up in 5 minutes! Our truck was towed to the gas station. Russ helped us fill her up, he tried to turn her over, but the truck wouldn't. Russ helped us over and over, trying his hardest to get us back on the road. Unfortunately our truck never did turn over. Russ towed us all the way to Sacramento. Of course the price was relevant to tow a big truck a hour and a half away. Interesting. Tried to charge 600 to tow a car on the side of the highway an hour away. Never had I heard of 600 to tow anything. The next day I was a little closer, 45 minutes away instead of an hour away from where I was trying to be towed. Another towing company charged me 175$. While driving from Sunnyvale to Livermore we developed an issue with our Lexus as the check engine light came on and the car was vibrating. We safely reached our destination. However, when it came time to leave the check engine light was still blinking and the car continued to vibrate. After checking with a friend who's extremely experienced with auto mechanics, we were advised not to drive the car home. This was a Saturday evening on a holiday weekend so we had to search for a tow service that was open. We connected with Chuck at Norm's Towing Service. He advised us to check with the service dept. at the dealership where we wanted it towed to see if they had an open lot to drop off the car. We got the information needed from their sales department (service was closed) and called Chuck who showed up at our location within his time frame of 15 minutes. He loaded our auto on his flat bed and we were on our way to Santa Clara - the service location. My car's tire blew out getting off the freeway on my way to work. I called Norm's and they said they could send someone out to me, and gave me a flat price over the phone. They showed up after about 20 minutes and drove my car to a tire shop to get my tire fixed. The driver was even nice enough to drive me from the tire shop to where I work. As a protective mom, it's hard to trust a stranger with my kids and mother. So when they needed help, and I wasn't there, I was pretty worried. Let's start out with the amazing ladies in the office. They were kind and reassuring, I was pretty worked up but they calmed me down and we're very patient with me over the phone. They were able to get a truck to my beloved family very quickly. My mother said Chuck was very sweet and helped get the kids safe in the truck. He even spoiled them with a couple snickers bars he happened to have with him. My mom said while Chuck was loading the car onto the truck another Norm's truck happened to be in the area. The driver, David, stopped to give Chuck a hand... really?! He saw his co-worker out on the road so he stopped to give him a hand! I didn't know people did that anymore! What a great crew showing true team work. They let my kids honk the horn on the truck and they wouldn't stop talking about it for the rest of the day. My mom said their trucks were nice and clean and the employees treated her like family. Chuck at Norms ROCKS! I blew out a front tire on my Tesla Model S on the 580 pass to Pleasanton. Chuck grabbed a spare from his wherehouse to replace my damaged one. He took extremely good care not to damage my car or rim as Cars were passing at 70-80mph. He was literally inches from the passing cars...jacking the car up between passing cars. He is soooo freaking brave!! There was no way I would have gotten out. Also, I am SUPER paranoid about rim damage (I have the black 21's). We broke down in Tracy and Good Sam dispatched Chuck from Norm's Towing to tow our truck and trailer. Chuck was more than just a tow truck driver. He was calm, friendly and very patient. He was very helpful with a tire issue we had on our trailer, towed my truck to the Chevy dealership, then came back to check on us and move our trailer to Walmart. He waited with us til my nephew showed up with our other vehicle to pickup our trailer and even helped to keep an eye out for him when he was lost finding us. Chuck is the kind of guy you want around when your scatter brained and stressed. He has a calming personality and stays, calm, cool and collected while being empathetic and helpful. Tire blew on the crappy Altamont pass westbound. Took insurance 45 minutes to lock down a towing company and told us it would take 70 minutes before truck arrived! Luckily we were given the number of our towing company, Norms. We called and they were already en route, and with us giving more detailed directions Jerry showed up within 15 minutes to our rescue. He was very courteous and guided us via flashlight to the truck. He also helped jumpstart our car after delivering it (battery had died from having hazard lights and headlights on too long). Best tow experience EVER! Jerry came to the rescue in only 15min. Initially we were given the quote of 30-45min which is a reasonable amount of time especially when you need a tow on a holiday weekend. I have experienced towing nightmares before where they quote you 30min and never show up or come two hours later. Or when they do show up the truck is the size of a golf cart and the driver takes forever hooking up your car. The truck was state of the art and was a flat bed so they were not dragging my car behind. Jerry was an expert and had my Lexus on the truck and secured in another 15minutes. When my truck broke down the other day called my AAA dispatch says 1 hour wait. So I called Norms towing instead, why you ask because I'm impatient and have other towing insurance that I never use. His dispatch said it would be about 30 minutes the driver Russ showed up around 18 minutes. He was very helpful brought a flatbed and made sure to treat my vehicle with care. I was home before AAA would have even been there!! I applaud this business for being prompt and timely as well as professional. Poor customer service. Threatening us to pay storage fees on our totaled car although it had been 3 days, waiting for the insurance adjuster. Very unsympathetic, we just had our car totaled, our only means of transportation, but of course the owner norm, could care less and was very transparent. Not much else to say but they have a big empty lot waiting for $$$ to collect with absurd prices, finally was able to make it to the tow yard after getting the day off and getting a ride! Paid 500.00 for the 4 days. SOL I guess, but karma always comes to bite ya in the butt and I'll keep it at that. read more

THE WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!! if it was possible to give no stars I would. After my car was towed I contacted Norm, just to ask a few questions because I didn't know how the process worked, not only was he the most condescending man he hung up on me multiple times. I was told the price of 70$ a day but when I called to get the final price I was told it was 75$ because he felt like changing it. Charging me for a day that the business was closed.No professionalism, but that's probably why the lot is empty. Once I arrived to pick up my car I was not greeted in any way, just an angry man. I asked why he was charging me for a holiday and he began to yell, making me wonder WHERE IS THE CUSTOMER SERVICE?!? If you want someone to help you and solve a problem this is not the place. Norm is looking for money, and is not willing to help and does not make an already stressful situation easier. Go anywhere but here if possible! read more

I called Norm's because I locked my keys in my car at work. I spoke to Norm himself when I called in and asked about pricing, etc. Very friendly, very professional and very comfortable speaking with him. I called later that night to have a truck come out to unlock my door and within 10 minutes Jerry came. He was great! It took him awhile to get my door unlocked because my car is stubborn, but he did it and the whole time he was funny, nice and made me feel comfortable. He made sure everything was okay for me to drive back to Modesto. I would highly recommend this company to anyone! read more

I had the misfortune to call Norms towing service, when my brand new Harley wouldn't start after a short ride. I was about 3 miles from the Livermore Harley dealership, and about the same from Norms. They charged me $140 for their minor time constraints to tow my bike. The tow driver arrived and tied down the bike with restraints by the handle bars, and bent them downwards. Then fixed his mistake by fastening it down the correct way, but the damage was done. I received a bill for $177 from the Harley dealership for the damage. I called Norms for reimbursement but was told I'm SOL. "The driver noticed his mistake, then fastened down the bike the correct way. So it's not our problem". No apology, no break on the inflated cost to tow, and certainly no payment for the damage. My mistake though... All the tow services recommended by Harley would take over 2 hours. I went with the one available immediately.... I now know why they were available..... You get what you pay for. DO NOT USE THEM TO TOW YOUR BRAND NEW $30,000 MOTORCYCLE.... Use anyone else or push it down the road, you will be better off. read more
