My husband had meatloaf which came with the same sides as well as gravy. Portions for both were very generous - easily two meals for my husband and likely 3 for me. Dessert was tempting as I'm a sucker for crème brûlée and I heard the chocolate torte is good as well. No room for it this time, maybe on my next happy hour visit. We were refunded on the sprouts but when we gave polite feedback about the entrees, the wait staff replied that no one else had complained and slinked away, never to return. There did not seem to be any one overseeing the food or waitstaff. We have been coming to Plaza Grill for over thirty years and they have always been solid. The food last night was edible but not good. I'm giving them a low rating mostly due to the attitude of the waitstaff. Acknowledge constructive criticism politely with at least a sincere apology or offer to give feedback to the chef. The chef might also want to be checking what he's sending out of the kitchen. We know you can do better. It's a beautiful building with great atmosphere and decent food generally speaking, so hopefully they are just working the kinks out since they recently reopened.

The chicken was garlicky and crispy while still remaining juicy. However, we preferred the furikake fries over the kalua because the former was lighter while the latter was like an actual meal. My bf also tried the redwood beer they have. I usually HATE beer but I actually had a couple sips of this one for once. It's so fragrant and fruity, you can actually smell the fruitiness and even taste it for a second before the beer taste hits. I would definitely recommend trying this, especially because I've never had a beer that was so fruity, floral, and fragrant that I actually liked it. We would def come back and recommend to others, whether you are a local or tourist. There was a constant stream of people coming in and out of this cozy little joint, so you know it is THE spot. When we arrived at our Airbnb just 8 minutes later, we discovered it was not properly placed in a sealed container (like an aluminum one, as expected). Instead, it was sitting directly inside the box, which was unhygienic and unacceptable. Unfortunately, we had to throw it away. It was served over couscous and was excellent. A bit small to split, so we added a cheesecake dessert with ganache. Very good. We paired it all with a Cabernet from the Oakville area of Napa (where we had just visited) and it was excellent as well. Our server was attentive. The pacing of our meal was very well done.
