Ordered the gyro pita and fish tacos. Outstanding food and friendly service and will definitely stop by again when in the area!

Great little food truck! We had the fish and chips. Halibut was fresh and delicious. The chef was very friendly.

Since the restaurant only had tables accommodating 4 guests, we split our group accordingly: 4 at one table, 4 at another, and 1 person seated at the bar. We also had two separate checks, see my receipt attached. First, I want to recognize server Luna, who provided exceptional service! I routinely tip 20% for good service. Unfortunately, my experience at the walk-up ordering counter was very different. While placing my order, I was informed that I was required to PREPAY an automatic 18% gratuity because our party exceeded six people. I politely explained that we were seated separately, with no more than four guests per table, and paying on two separate checks. The female cook working the kitchen (identifiable by a female gender symbol tattoo behind her ear) insisted that the 18% charge was mandatory company policy. I asked whether an exception could be made given our seating arrangements and separate bills, ordering food at counter (instead of table service) particularly because I could not find any disclosure of this mandatory charge on the menu or posted anywhere in the restaurant. See menu attached. Rather than calmly explaining the policy or referring me to someone with authority, the kitchen cook employee became visibly upset scolding me: explaining that economic times were tough and that I needed to contribute the 18%. I found this response unnecessary and unprofessional. Economic challenges affect customers and business owners alike, but they do not justify treating customers disrespectfully for questioning a charge. To make matters worse, I was charged an additional 3.75% for paying with a credit card. As a business owner myself, I understand the importance of clear pricing, transparent policies, and properly training employees to handle customer concerns. My understanding is that California has specific disclosure requirements regarding mandatory restaurant fees and credit card surcharges. I would encourage ownership to review its signage, menu disclosures, and policies to ensure compliance. If this employee lacked the authority to make an exception, then my concern ultimately falls on ownership for failing to properly train staff and clearly communicate these charges. Personally, I would have simply waived the automatic gratuity under these circumstances. Ironically, I would have voluntarily tipped 20% anyway! This was never about avoiding a tip. It was about transparency, customer service, and how a reasonable question was handled. My Ratings: 5/5 - only for Luna's Service: Exceptional! She deserves recognition. 4/5 - Atmosphere: Pleasant environment. 1/5 - Counter/Cook Interaction: Unprofessional and unnecessarily confrontational. 1/5 - Food: Disappointing lack of authentic Mediterranean flavor. Final Thoughts: Great service from server Luna, but ownership needs to reconsider how mandatory fees are disclosed and how employees handle legitimate customer concerns. A 20% tip should be a reward for excellent service, not an argument before the food is even served.
