We came here due to the great reviews! We've also tried a few different Mexican restaurants in the area and hasn't been impressed. So we were hoping this one will impress us. Parking was street parking and easy to find. We were seated right away, and service was great! We ordered a carnitas burrito and a few pastor tacos. The burrito barely had any meat, it was 95% rice and beans. The tacos were just ok. I don't think we will return. Not sure why this place has so many good reviews...

I really enjoyed the service so friendly and welcoming. The food was so flavorful and felt very fresh. The chips were really good too! Would definitely come back.

Stopped by here on a road trip and glad that we found this gem. They were friendly and service was great. They provided chips and house made salsa, as soon as we were seated. I ordered their chicken mole and loved it! Chicken was tender and juicy. The mole was very flavorful. My entree had a choice of soup or salad, from their salad bar.

After the 4.5 hour drive to Eureka, my fiance and I wanted a decent place to find dinner. Our hotel receptionist referred us to a website of good local eats, but I always still consult Yelp to make a final decision. We decided to try Oaxaca Grill since it had good ratings and plus the food looked amazing. The food was in fact delicious and they gave relatively large portion sizes for the amount you pay for! The service was also awesome! After entering, we were approached by one of the staff members who took our order (there was no dine-in due to COVID precautions). He was very friendly and made small conversation with us since he recognized that we were from out of town. 4 out of 5 stars! Try Oaxaca Grill if you are ever in Eureka!

Oaxaca Grill came recommended by many locals and after one dinner, I'm a fan! We dined in on a Friday evening and the place was packed. Luckily there was available seating for two but if you are with a group or 5 or more, it's best to call ahead or come early. We were seated quickly but it took a while to get our orders in. There was only one waiter working that evening for a packed restaurant. I ordered the tetela combination which was the perfect amount of food. The tetela was made fresh, practically still sizzling when it came to the table! My husband had the Asada with shrimp which was also made fresh and had delicious flavor. Both meals came with the soup of the day which was a traditional black bean soup. The server was very busy the whole night but remained attentive and friendly. The seating is somewhat cramped but comfortable and the facilities are clean. I would say this is one of my favorite Mexican Restaurants in Eureka!

Always a pleasure to eat at Oaxaca Grill. The food at this Henderson Center family-owned and operated restaurant is consistently delicious and the service is warm, friendly and efficient. We eat here often. The soups are delicate and flavorful. I enjoy trying new dishes on the menu, whereas my husband has a few favorites that he stays with. Tried the gordita the other night--fresh, light and yummy. An excellent vegetarian option.

Food was mediocre at best. There is no altering of the order, like getting an extra taco.

I'm still all about the chile relleno burrito so the last time we went I ordered one with carne asada and it was literally the burrito of my dreams. This time when we went inside I noticed a hand written sign above the cash register that said "The Raliberto" which was basically my chile relleno burrito plus carne asada, so I ordered it. I cut it in half, took a picture this time and noticed it wasn't the same, it had cheddar cheese instead of that delicious white cheese the relleno comes with, and I don't think the poblano was battered and fried, it was just a plain pepper that was stuffed with cheese- it was still very tasty just not the burrito of my dreams. I'm thinking since it was a special, they may have run out of the regular rellenos or perhaps they were cutting costs but next time I'll just stick with the regular chile relleno burrito. We also picked up an order of their other special, carne asada rolled tacos, which definitely don't need the added carne asada because guacamole is all them tasty suckers need but we snarfed it all down. I don't know when we'll be driving through again but this is a really solid spot that I'll always think of fondly.

I just throw in some beans and rice and lettuce, sour cream, and guacamole. I mean, who puts lettuce in a quesadilla? To top it off, there was no silverware or napkins in my to go order. The taste is OK.

They also have Guatemalan items for sale over at the register. I decided to go for the garnachas, which is a Guatemalan street food, similar to a sope. These were like little mini sopes. . The corn masa cake base was delicious, and it was not over fried. The ground beef was seasoned very well, the veggies gave it a nice pop of freshness. The cheese was great, and I especially loved the sauce. The sauce just brought it all together. There was a little pile of jalapeño, onion, and carrot in the middle. I didn't touch the jalapeño. I tried the carrot and the onion, but they were too spicy for me. Not a big deal. It was a nice lite lunch, and with soda, tax and tip, the price was very reasonable. I definitely want to come back and try more items off of this menu. Thank you.

If only this restaurant was in LA, we'd be there all the time supporting this gem of a location because finding Guatemalan food is somewhat rare!! GYY, what a treat to find in Humboldt, the in dining experience would have also been superb as the location offers plenty of comfortable seating to choose from. We however were on a road trip and enjoyed all of the food including a passion fruit água fresca from the car!
