    a plate of mexican food

Sadly, I would have to say this is three stars at best. Our server was very nice but a little awkward. The setup is not great inside. Based on the reviews we anticipated a better experience. The food was blah and despite our low expectations was just so so. Salsa was watering and flavorless. The chips were stale. The sampler platter was eh. You had to dip everything in queso to give it some flavor. The other dish was a three item combo with a beef taco and two enchiladas. They use cabbage here instead of lettuce which was a nice difference. The margarita was the 4 star experience. Although very tart and sweet it kicked my butt. Definitely got a buzz. I would not recommend or return based on this experience although many have given it high ratings.

This is hands down some of the best Mexican food I have ever had. I think the secret lies within their tortillas. They hand make their tortillas in house, so every tortilla item you order is made fresh. You can also see them making the tortillas there in the kitchen as you are sitting at your table. You can't beat a meal that is made fresh in the kitchen. The employees are extremely nice and attentive. Our waitress always made sure we had what we needed. We tried the pachanga sampler (pictured). It came with nachos, taquitos, quesadillas, jalapeño poppers, and queso dip. This specific dish runs about $20, but like I said before, all of the tortillas involved are freshly made, and the food is absolutely delicious!

    Housemade Poppers...mmmm

Monday at pachanga. Housemade poppers, you can get anything like it anywhere else round here..a must have..potato flautas, also a completely unique itrm..gotta have em both.. everytime! Lots of places closed on mondays, but pachanga is open, and always dishes out consistent goodness! Large jamaica to drink, a must have!

The free salsa. That's just cabbage.

We were on a weekend trip for a family event and when we got into town, this 4 star restaurant was recommended to us. We were served salsa and chips but the salsa was literally tomato sauce with cabbage in it. There was no garlic, no cilantro, no spice and no seasoning. The chips were warm but stale. My husband ordered a chimichanga with red sauce on the side and I ordered beef fajitas with veggies. Our food came out pretty quickly and my husband liked the chimichanga (it was okay, he said) but my fajitas... There was a heaping amount of vegetables and very little beef. The vegetables tasted like frozen Chinese stir fry veggies. There was squash, zucchini, onions, peppers, broccoli and sugar snap peas. The meat was small strips, were dry and had no seasoning on them at all. I was given flour tortillas per my request and I ate half a tortilla with the meat and veggies and the other half with just meat. That's all I could eat because it was that bad. It was beef and vegetable stir fry in a tortilla and not fajitas. Also, the lights were off when we came in and they turned them on while we were eating. I could not eat another bite. We paid and left and will never come back.

Good amount of food. Flavor lacking. My burrito was a hot soggy mess. Staff was nice. Would never go back based on price and food quality.

Always good food, family owned, wonderful service. Home made jalapeño poppers and chips and salsa are the best in town!

I'm still all about the chile relleno burrito so the last time we went I ordered one with carne asada and it was literally the burrito of my dreams. This time when we went inside I noticed a hand written sign above the cash register that said "The Raliberto" which was basically my chile relleno burrito plus carne asada, so I ordered it. I cut it in half, took a picture this time and noticed it wasn't the same, it had cheddar cheese instead of that delicious white cheese the relleno comes with, and I don't think the poblano was battered and fried, it was just a plain pepper that was stuffed with cheese- it was still very tasty just not the burrito of my dreams. I'm thinking since it was a special, they may have run out of the regular rellenos or perhaps they were cutting costs but next time I'll just stick with the regular chile relleno burrito. We also picked up an order of their other special, carne asada rolled tacos, which definitely don't need the added carne asada because guacamole is all them tasty suckers need but we snarfed it all down. I don't know when we'll be driving through again but this is a really solid spot that I'll always think of fondly.

The taste is OK.

They also have Guatemalan items for sale over at the register. I decided to go for the garnachas, which is a Guatemalan street food, similar to a sope. These were like little mini sopes. . The corn masa cake base was delicious, and it was not over fried. The ground beef was seasoned very well, the veggies gave it a nice pop of freshness. The cheese was great, and I especially loved the sauce. The sauce just brought it all together. There was a little pile of jalapeño, onion, and carrot in the middle. I didn't touch the jalapeño. I tried the carrot and the onion, but they were too spicy for me. Not a big deal. It was a nice lite lunch, and with soda, tax and tip, the price was very reasonable. I definitely want to come back and try more items off of this menu. Thank you.
