Since they came, highly recommended, I came in for chicken. They told me they were out of every meat and out of mac & cheese because it was the end of the day, but they said they would have more chicken in a half an hour and it was actually only 10 minutes or less. The chicken was amazing, boneless thighs that were perfectly cooked and nice and juicy. Served on a bit of rice was different, but I enjoyed it. They also have a garlic sauce that was different. I mixed it with the barbecue sauce and that was a great combination. I'd be curious to come back and try their brisket someday, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. First time here. Food is meh. Interior: super clean, very sterile Customer service: girl behind the counter was timid yet friendly and didn't even ask if we wanted drinks. Only available drinks were in a refrigerated case and it was a choice of Costco cola, Costco cream soda, or bottled water. $53.65 for two plates and we were rung up before I could even pick out a drink. She needs better training in how to interact with customers and upsale. Food: Like the drinks, very limited selection. They only had brisket. Brisket was cut thick which is unusual since when it's cut thin like most BBQ places, it's more tender. The plate came with rice which is a weird combination for BBQ. I had cole slaw and beans while my wife had potato salad and beans. None of the sides tasted homemade. It wasn't a bad experience but nothing to write home about. Might try again but will be prepared to be underwhelmed. read more

Phenomenal ribs!! What a find!! Might just be some of the best ribs I've ever had in my life! Juicy, smoky, tender, melt in your mouth fantastic!! And the portions are massive - great value for the money. Staff were all so welcoming and friendly too - this place totally earns its 5 star rating! We ordered a 1/2 rack of ribs, 2 sides, and a flatbread just for curiosity - never heard of flatbread with bbq before - was and interesting addition but complimented the meal very well! The 1/2 rack of ribs was HUGE - the portion size and the ribs themselves- giant ribs and packed thick with fall-apart meat! I think the 1/2 rack gave us 9 ribs total. We could barely finish them. And the flavor on the ribs - oommggg it's flawless! Perfect balance of smoke and seasoning - and the bbq sauce is delicious as well! Not too sweet, not too spicy - all in all a great balance of all the flavors you want in a decent bbq - you can tell they really know their craft here! We also got a side of beans and potato salad - these are massive as well! Definitely weren't able to even put a dent in them lol! They also had great flavors and went perfectly with the ribs. And that flatbread haha - definitely not your typical BBQ accompaniment but it totally works lol! It's a huge, thin, flat piece of flaky bread - very nice flavor - almost like a giant, soft saltine - not sure how else to describe it - but just try it - it's good! The restaurant itself is on the small side with a few tables - but very cozy with a TV, outside seating, and plenty of parking. Easy to find - my gps took us straight there - but bc the building is small and nondescript, I can see how it would be easy to miss it. Seems to be family owned - and everyone we interacted with was super friendly - thoroughly enjoyed chatting to them! We were passing through Crescent City, coming from a hike in the Redwoods and heading up to the beautiful southern Oregon coast. Fantastic BBQ! Can't recommend it highly enough. Was in town on vacation and looking for something yummy. Went to this place based on Yelp reviews and comments. Ordered a pulled pork plate with rice, potato salad and beans. Received a giant box of food. Seriously, so much food. I can make 3-4 sandwiches with the meat. The place was consistently busy. They sold out of the ribs and brisket before we arrived. Saw someone with the chicken. It looked wonderful. You can eat there or take it to go. They also do catering. We stopped by for a quick lunch after camping in Jedidiah Smith Campground. We ordered brisket and chicken bbq, potato salad and mac and cheese. Their food is really good!!! And very affordable. My son is picky but he likes the chicken and their flat bread. Their place is small but quite nice and clean. The food was ready in less than 5 mins! Very quick! I met the owner and he's really nice. I saw this place on Yelp, and even though I had it set in my gps I drove right past it the first time I went there. I'm in town for 2 1/2 days. Yes, I said the first time. I went in and was greeted by the cashier, probably one of the owners - I think this a family run place with everyone in the family participating. The sitting area amd the clearly visible kitchen area was clean and organized. I asked about the brisket, which is my test of a BBQ pace. They were out. Apparently it's one of the most popular items on the menu and flies from the "shelves" - so to speak. I decided to try the combo plate which comes with two sides. The combo plate includes a pork chop, pulled pork, and smoked chicken. For sides I got coleslaw amd hummus. The plate also comes with rice as a base, yes rice. All delicious!! All that for under $17. I took the food to go and thought the cashier had made a mistake. I checked the receipt. There was no mistake. It was a huge portion. I was able to eat it for dinner two nights in a row. The pork chop and the chicken was tender and moist. The pulled pork was also delicious, but I added a little hot sauce to kick it up a notch or two. I'm not usually a fan of coleslaw, but theirs was really good. Not sure if their hummus or their coleslaw is home made or store bought. Day two...Arts for lunch. Trying to get some of that brisket. I got there and ordered the brisket plate with that delicious coleslaw and the hummus. The brisket was fall apart tender. The bark was amazing and the smoke ring was legit. There were a couple of pieces that were a little dry, but those were the outside edges. The bark on those pieces made up for it. The brisket was a little bit more expensive, but not much. Another huge portion. I ate it all, not the rice though. That would have sent me over the edge - and I'm trying to cut my carbs. Overall, huge portion, very reasonably priced, great quality and great taste. Not to mention the staff is incredibly friendly. Im definitely going back - if I wasn't leaving today I'd probably go back today. FYI - the picture makes the meat look a little dry. True, authentic bbq!! Beyond impressed with this small hidden gem. Passing thru town and we couldn't have picked a better spot for dinner. Bbq meats for my combo plate included chicken, pulled pork and brisket. All 3 were cooked to perfection and flavorful. Most impressive to me was no bbq sauce was served (something I expect from a bbq place), but there is absolutely no need. Like I said, this was true authentic bbq all the way. Seriously delicious. I got the combo plate with brisket, chicken, tri tip, baked beans, and potato salad. 1) The chicken is dangerously addicting. It's well seasoned and I already know that I'll be craving it again. 2) The Brisket bark/crust is mouth watering. The seasoning on it hits that salty goodness spot. The brisket is also surprisingly tender as well. 3) The tri-tip is solid. Tri tip has always been my least favorite bbq protein but with that being said; here It's tender and nice. Its still overshadowed by the flavor bombs of the chicken and brisket. 4) The Baked beans are gooooooooooood. They're really goood. I'm going to be craving these as well. 5) The potato salad is solid. 6) The rice is cooked perfectly and it tastes delicious especially with all the meat juices smothering it. 7) The garlic white sauce!!! It turns the meal into a brand new experience. It goes from delicious bbq meats to suddenly Mediterranean style meat dish and I'm all for it. The meats by itself or with the sauce makes for a great eating experience. 8) Bbq sauce is solid as well. Overall I highly recommend this place. Decent bbq with friendly service. We got our food to go and noticed none of the sides were homemade. Even the bbq sauce was bottled. They didn't have pork ribs so we tried brisket, chicken, and pulled pork. The chicken was the best meat, juicy and tasty. Brisket and pulled pork were dry/old and needed to be soaked in sauce. However, all the meats were well seasoned. The platter also included the meats on top of steamed white rice, which was mushy. One platter is generous enough and can easily feed a small family.
