this place freaking rocks!!!!! Situated in a jolly pirate themed sports bar, it attracts musical theater loving waitresses, sweetie pie bikers, and hikers alike. Their service is efficient and friendly, their food is DELISH, and their hall of fame of artists is definitely worth stopping in to take a gander at.

Pirate themed. Came Monday evening, they had live music & the football game on their giant projector. It was nice. Seat yourself and they come to you. Servers and bar tender were all great & attentive. Got drinks right away and didn't have to wait long to order. The food took a little while to come out but was all delicious! The burgers were thick topped with fresh veggies. The blue cheese burger was frickin delicious!!!! The cheeseburger was good (kids had it and enjoyed it very much), the Soup of the day was Salmon chowder and it was also delicious, plenty of flavor & perfect consistency for a chowder. They have a ton of ciders and beer on tap. Will definitely be back!!

Found a screw in my food

Food was great until it wasn't. Was not pleased to find a hardware screw in my food. Would not eat here again.

First time eating here and it was amazing! This pirate themed in appearance only Restaurant/ Bar has multiple options when it comes to beer which I was amazing I went with the Blood Orange to go with the food I ordered your choice may vary. The Bartender, Server and Cook gave the best service ch we checked in made sure everything was ok.. some error happened and the cook came over and bought the next round on him... Super appreciated... We coming back for round 2

Monday lunch, service was painfully slow. If you are hungry and want to be served food in less than 45 minutes, go somewhere else.

Great food. I had an egg salad wrap and it was the best ever. Everything was homemade and we had great service.

The menu sounds amazing but I have gluten intolerance, are there any gluten free options ? Thank you 🙏🏻

Not sure about gluten free options for the sandwiches but just the side salad was so fresh and well prepared with great ranch dressing. Hope this helps

We had such a wonderful time at fat Irish kitchen! I was in Brookings for work with my wife…read moretraveling with me and we just didn't know where to go, our hotel receptionist said we should come here and man are we glad we listened! The vibe is exactly what you expect from a awesome little Irish pub. Lots of beer artwork on the walls, cool little tree of life art, and the friendliest staff you'll ever find. The bartender Holly was the most friendly bartender I've had in I feel like a decade or more, and the bar back Josh was pretty awesome himself. He gave us some wonderful tips for some other places to eat at as we travel around the state, and all in all both of them gave us some pretty epic conversation. We almost never said at the bar, we decided to this time and I'm so glad that we did! The food was so so, nothing to really write home about but nothing really wrong either. It's bar food, you get what you expect when you go to an Irish pub. Taco Tuesday was well worth it, I'm a pescatarian so I had the fish taco and then tried their awesome potato taco and enjoyed the potato taco the most actually! I wouldn't pay what they normally charge for these tacos, they're pretty basic and the tortillas are not grilled nearly enough, but Taco Tuesday made three tacos only $10.50 and I could mix and match between all the different types so that was totally worth it! My wife tried the honey mustard chicken salad and unfortunately it did not live up to what she had hoped for. It was a really basic salad the veggies were fresh which was fortunate but it was basic, nothing was really seasoned, the honey mustard dressing didn't taste like mustard at all and the chicken was basic breaded chicken that tasted like it was from Dairy Queen. It was fresh, but still tasted like it was from Dairy Queen. All In all, the drinks and the bartender will definitely keep us coming back. Next time it'll just be for some drinks and some fries probably, but I definitely can't wait to try the steamer clams with jalapenos.

I had the pork chop which had the perfect compliment of the apple compote and my wife had the stuffed chicken breast. Bot were awesome. Okay, not "bad" and not "great."…read more Started with the chowder which was too smooth and the flour was overpowering. I was hoping for "great" in a coastal town, We ordered steamers as an appetizer and it came out with our dinner, not ideal. Good flavor but super slimy. That's either age or not cleaned well but either way they weren't great. I ordered the Yellowtail and it was great. I had the sweet potatoes on the side and they were the best thing any of us had. The boy ordered pasta which was kind of forgettable and my wife ordered the Gnocchi, which she said was good. (It was good enough she wouldn't share). :) The place is kind of a dive, you walk through some random slot machines and a little bar to get to the actual dining room which is decorated straight out of the 70's. That's less of a deal since you don't eat ambiance, Next time I'll try the pork chop (they were out) as it looks delicious.
