    Fish and chips

The place was very clean and fresh being recently opened, my Gorgonzola bacon burger was huge, came out a perfect medium! My wife's fish and chips were a good portion, tartar sauce was smooth not the chunky kind. The green salad also was fresh and well portioned. The staff was friendly, and we were seated immediately with a smile.

Redwood club and freshly cut fruit

Peppers is a happy place. Cute, kitschy, colorful interior, cheerful staff and generous portions of delicious diner style classics. On a trip to Crescent City, we went twice in one day! The menu is large and varied. Appeals to locals and tourists alike. At dinner, I chose the fruit to accompany my Redwood Club and expected to get your standard pre-cut chunks in a cup. What a pleasant surprise to see a beautifully arranged selection of freshly cut wedges of orange, cantaloupe, honeydew, apple and watermelon. If we lived here we would be regulars

We chose Seaquake since it was one of the few restaurants that was open with a good rating. The wait time was estimated to be an hour and a half, so we put our names down and just ended up walking to the beach to kill time, but they actually confirmed our table in less than an hour. We ordered fish and chips and coconut prawns, and they were both delicious! I dare say these could be the best fish and chips I've had, but I do like the panko crust more than beer battered. The fish was very crispy, moist, and well-seasoned. The coconut prawns were also done well with the coconut being not too cloyingly sweet and the prawns again having a nice crispy texture. The salsa on the side was a nice refreshing complement too. For drinks, I ordered the battery point blonde ale and guava mango margarita. Both were very good. I should have gotten a few cans of the battery point. My bf got the redwood highway hazy IPA and orange sunstar. Overall, this was a great spot. The service was great and our server was very friendly in offering recommendations. I will add this spot to my list of places that I would come back to next time I'm in Crescent City.

This place had a great vibe and was packed every time we went, but never had an outrageous wait. The calamari strips are a MUST. The breading had great flavor and every-time we had them (we went several times) the calamari was cooked perfectly! They had a fish special the night I went that I think was snapper over jasmine rice with blistered tomatoes. Hands down one of the most delicately delicious, fresh meals I had during my stay. Their wings were also delicious. Crispy, but also so juicy. Fish and chips seems to be the go to here, which was VERY good but I will say, it's the same breading as the calamari so I'd order one or the other next time because it was similar in taste. But again, delicious, cooked perfect, and fresh! My girlfriend got the fish tacos which she loved! I really wish I got merch but they were out of our sizes! They sell so much of their beer there as well as clothes/hats/keychains etc. to go! Almost forgot, they make homemade root beer which is SO good. They serve it without ice and it is so smooth and delicious. Probably the best root beer I've had. Actually pretty devastated I live in PA and have nothing close to home that can even hold a candle to this place.

Let's just say, if you are a biscuit eater this IS THE place for them! My hubby is from the south and southerns do biscuits. And each time they are off- BUT not at good Harvest , they do biscuits right! Make sure you try them. We get t an order of biscuits and gravy We also had the huevos ranchero - you can get a small or large which is nice. This was amazing and we got it both days! The veggie omelet is also very yummy! Check them out.

Service: our server was kind and pleasant. Food arrived in a timely manner. Ambiance-average for the coast. I gave a 3 star because, while the breakfast was on par, later on in the day... not so good. We ate breakfast and headed south. Dessert review: On our return trip north at dinner time, we stopped in to get the chocolate cake as we were celebrating our 31st anniversary on 3/19. Husband went in without me and asked for chocolate cake. At first the worker began to cut "unusually small pieces" at ANY price point. My husband spoke up about how small the size. When the worker rung it up, the price was $30 for 2x , yes 2x, let me repeat that...2x pieces of cake!!!!! She had a bad attitude, she was rude, she was put out to provide good service to a paying customer. She justified $30 by saying the cake was from Cheese Cake Factory. I recognize good labor is hard to find on the coast. (I'm certain I've seen this same chocolate cake and cheese cake for sale at our local Grocery Outlet...about $30) I'm sorry for the restaurant that this is the best employee they could find. When my husband came out ... he was p.o.'ed. Then he told me the cake was a few dollars short of our breakfast price and $30 was charged to my card. I FLIPPED A GASKET AND WAS EVEN MORE P.O.'ed. We are locals and we feel SO RIPPED OFF AND TAKEN ADVANTAGE OF! My husband thinks he was hustled and gouged and overcharged BECAUSE HE WAS! Unfortunately, I don't think we'll return. Word to the wise, if the price isn't printed in the menu...buy at your own risk.

Their service was top notch, the waiters were very attentive and friendly. The ambience was very relaxing and also friendly. Their food was delicious! Party of three and went in to celebrate a birthday. We ordered: 1 oyster shooter, 1 crispy oyster appetizer, 1 patty melt, 1 cheeseburger basket, and 1 fish & chips. She walked away and we had to call her back to order drinks. The oyster shooter came out quickly. It was huge! We also saw another guest with a whole crab. We then realized that there was a seasonal crab menu. Our server never told us about the special menu. I would have easily ordered the whole crab or seafood tower (I forget what it's called but it had scallops, crab, sirloin, etc.). Our meals came out, patty melt, cheeseburger, fish and chips, and crispy oyster appetizer. Wait...what? Why didn't the crispy oyster come out with the shooter? Oh...because our server gave us a meal instead of the appetizer since it had a pile of French fries with it and we were charged for it! Overall, the meals were good. Our daughter enjoyed her patty melt. My crispy oysters and fish and chips were OK, nothing to write home about. Also, the server did not ask how I wanted my fish and chips since the menu offers them deep fried or grilled. They came deep fried. Either way is fine with me but if there is an option, the server should know that and ask. After our meals, we ordered two slices of brown butter cake and instead were served two pieces of mile high chocolate cake. At this point, it was useless to complain to the unattentive server. Probably won't go back.
