Only reason why I give it a 3 is because I was a bit disappointed. I was the only one who was told that the drinks were self serve and everyone else around me was getting their drinks served to them! While we were on vacation and we decided to stop at Elise's Eatery. Let me tell you they did not disappoint. The service was over and above better than anywhere I've ever been. The menu was full of great choices and we decided on chicken fingers basket with fries and BLT with fries. Both came out faster than we expected, and the taste was so amazing. The chicken fingers were crispy and tender, and had a great flavor. The BLT was one of the best I've ever had and the prices were reasonable and you got way more food for the price we paid. They had seating for about 25 people which was cozy and friendly. The inside design and atmosphere was really well done and welcoming. This is the place that I would definitely come back to frequently if I lived in the area. We stopped by on our trip to the beach and were not disappointed! I ordered their version of the party melt and the curly fries. I would definitely recommend getting this meal, curly fries were seasoned and fried perfectly. I really like how the sandwich was fried, the bread was crisp and it was delicious . Based on other reviews, we drove here for lunch from Brookings, OR. Glad we did! My husband ordered the Chicken Strips Basket which came with 6 huge strips perfectly fried, onion rings, coleslaw, Mac n Cheese, and a biscuit. All kinds of dipping sauces are available and they are not stingy with them either. I ordered the Redwood Burger with Fries and coleslaw. The burger is huge and tasty and I loved the brioche bun. I ordered the chicken meal that came with three pieces of fried chicken, mac & cheese, coleslaw and a small biscuit served in a basket and two small bowls. The chicken was very hot and all the food was very good. Service was friendly and efficient. The restaurant is very basic and clean. Not too many (decent) eateries we could find for dinner in Crescent City, but glad we went with Elise's. We arrived around 7:30pm and they let us know it was takeout only with a 45min wait. Everything else closed at 8pm so we were stuck. We picked up our food around 8:15pm and since they were closing, they threw in a mac & cheese for free. So nice! Food: The chicken tender basket was exactly that. Good ol' chicken tendies (good portions). The curly fries were kinda soggy, but the to-go box may have steamed them during transport. Overall, not memorable, but satisfying. The fried chicken was delicious and crunchy. If i ever found myself here again, I would get that as my entree. It's good the mac & cheese was free because it was okay. Kinda dry and bland so we added some pepper and buffalo to make things interesting. I initially was excited about trying this new place here in Creacent city, but honestly for the price of the food the portions ARE disappointing. All the entrées are single so if you a burger & they ask you what you would like for a side its 3.50 for small handful of French fry's. so I ordered the club & was taken back by the fact it had store bought lunch meat it Only came with two slices of meat for my club sandwich .def didn't look like the menu picture I paid 17.50 for the sandwich & 3.50 for my side. read more

I accidentally found this restaurant by walking by. I ordered the Turkey melt and fries. This was absolutely delicious and I mean delicious. Great atmosphere for any and all ages. We ended the day at this awesome little eatery, in Crescent city, the burgers were Great and were a generous portions size, everything came out fast and fresh/piping hot, we met the owner operators who were just 24 and 25 years old and we're wowed but their professionalism and desire to provide excellent food products and service. We are from Los Angeles and happened to pass by this restaurant and they are by far the best burgers I've had in my life ! We got the mushroom Swiss burger and added jalapeños and bacon for extra flavor and it was so delicious ! This place hit the spot after a hike in Grove of Titans. The staff very kid friendly. The server had sheets of sticker so kids could make a picture while waiting for the food to come. The server said the kids could have the pictures hung on their wall gallery. My kids chose to take them home. Solid four stars are well deserved for this quaint newer restaurant in the downtown neighborhood of the smallest northern city in California run by a couple who are dedicated in making the quality foods including fresh fried chicken and onion rings with coleslaw and French fries. This is the only restaurant around here where you can find real French fries! Other than the fast food joints like McDonald or Burger King, no other restaurant has the expensive hood and deep fryer that can deliver pretty decent fries and onion rings. On our latest trip to Crescent City we did a quick search for someplace new to eat (past experience has given us few options). We landed at Elise's on a Saturday afternoon. All of the tables were full when we arrived with another couple waiting for a table also. After about a fifteen minute wait we were seated. The dining room was clean. Table service was for ordering only with patrons bussing their own table. We chose the Western Burger, a 6 piece chicken strip meal and a fried chicken plate. We added fries to the two chicken meals (they came with mac & cheese and a biscuit). The burger was HUGE, I'm not a small eater and I had to force myself to eat 2/3rds. The taste was excellent and the upgrade to onion rings really hit the spot. My wife had the chicken strip meal and a three piece would have been fine (we had three leftover). She very much enjoyed the strips and biscuit, she also enjoyed the added fries. Wasn't a fan of the mac & cheese, but she's always picky about that item. Our son had the friend chicken meal and devoured every bite including the mac & cheese. We ordered two pieces of the lemon cake, one for the wife and I to share and one for my sone. Very sad we shared, it was moist and delicious. If you find yourself in Crescent City just go. PS. The restaurant is owned and run by three young friends, minimal staffing made service a bit slow but the food more than made up for the wait. read more

They made us an assortment of 30 sandwiches complete with salad, dressing, and ziploc bags containing silverware, napkins and condiments. I loved the mural painted on the wall by a local artist depicting the lighthouse in town. We had the Redwood burger and Macaroni and cheese. They were both delightful!
