We were in the area exploring the redwoods when lunchtime rolled around. There weren't many options nearby, but the Log Cabin Diner stood out on Yelp. We figured we might get a decent diner lunch. We ended up liking it so much that we came back the next day. The staff greeted us warmly and told us to sit anywhere. The place has the feel of a small-town roadside diner, with a counter, a handful of tables and even a petting zoo next door. It was clean and well kept, with locals and travelers eating side by side. I ordered the Klamath cheeseburger, and my spouse chose a breakfast with fry bread after seeing a photo of it. Then a tall, fluffy pancake arrived at the next table, and we wondered if we'd ordered the wrong thing. We hadn't. The portions were generous, my burger was delicious, and my spouse loved the fry bread. Even the tater tots stood out: crunchy outside and creamy inside. We went back the following day to try what we'd missed. I had the chicken fry bread taco, which reminded me of a cholupa (but better) My spouse finally got the pancake breakfast, along with a peanut butter milkshake. The portions were just as generous, the food was delicious and the staff was every bit as friendly. If we're back in the area, we won't have to search Yelp for lunch. In many respects, Log Cabin provides a typical diner experience: the same plates of eggs, hash browns, and sausage gravy, large portions, and the ever present table side jam collection. But in other ways, they've managed to distinguish themselves from the rest (and that's not counting the two emus they have outside). They offer two relatively uncommon dishes: fry bread, which comes in a shareable size topped with cinnamon sugar, and a giant pancake. The emphasis is really on the cake, as this behemoth is over an inch tall and probably owes its perfectly cylindrical shape to a cake mold. Order just one at a time! Wanted bacon and this was one of the recommendation from the wonderful waitress. Thick cut bacon. Awesome burger... you can taste the beefiness of the burger. Very rich in flavor. Loved it. Walking in, you'll be greeted by their cheerful staff. The inside is nicely decorated, it feels really homey and welcoming. It was the perfect ending to our camping trip before a long drive ahead. Food was prepared as you order, eggs are cooked as requested, biscuits and gravy remind you of mom's home cooking. Stopped by the Log Cabin Diner for lunch while camping nearby. We ordered the spicy chicken sandwich, chicken wings, and the Klamath burger. Everything was delicious and cooked perfectly. The real standout for our group, though, was the tater tots. Even though they were pretty busy, the food came out quickly, and our waitress was incredibly sweet and attentive. I was in the area for 3 days and ate there twice--the food and service was just that good. There is both indoor and outdoor seating. The outdoor seating permits dogs, so if you are traveling with your pup this is a dog-friendly stop. For lunch, I had the BLTA because avocado just makes any sandwich better! It was served with crispy tater tots. My companion had a burger that was delicious and loaded with cheese and grilled onions as ordered. The breakfast here is delicious. The hash browns are cooked perfectly crisp. A real treat are the pancakes. Plain, cinnamon sugar or chocolate chip, these pancakes are phenomenal! I am not even a big pancake fan, but these were something special--fluffy, flavorful, simply perfect pancakes! I ate every bite. read more

We had the biscuits and gravy, pancakes, sausage, bacon and burgers. All were very tasty. The bacon was especially great. The service was very friendly. They appeared fairly busy when we arrived but the server was welcoming and attentive. We arrived in an RV and the there was plenty of parking options. There are 2 outside bench seats (no umbrella/covering) which each seat six. The food was prepared faster than I expected for a party of our size, with the number of other guests. We were greeted so warmly when we walked in by the owner and the cooks as well and the service was superb throughout. We didn't even have to ask for coffee refills. The inside is so cozy yet super comfortable and very clean. They were playing beautiful, peaceful, soul inspiring music which really set the vibe. The pancakes here at the main attraction, they are so thick and fluffy and perfectly shaped! The cinnamon sugar one is a show stopper! But everyone said they loved everything they ordered. OK. Now way this place will be in business for long. It's all way tooooo good. Which means the amazing owner will be overwhelmed with business, which means she will need more help, which means she will be overwhelmed with people that want to "help" so they will make promises, like showing up to work on time and dressing appropriately and smiling, etc. but won't be able to keep the promises they make. Which will be a shame. My dad always told me to, "Be careful what you get good at!" SO ...... Ate here today on our way out of Klamath. Everything we ate was amazing! I highly recommend the pancake breakfast and the fry bread.

We stopped for breakfast just before 1 pm and were served breakfast. The place was clean and the hostess very kind and welcoming. We ordered a classic breakfast of eggs, hash browns, toast and pancakes. Everything was wonderful! They made the best hash browns I have ever had, and the 6" pancake was almost an inch thick and perfectly cooked. Service was great, too, and the whole place was clean, including the bathrooms. There is nothing redeeming at this place. We went in there for breakfast. It took one and a half hours to get our food and leave there. The food was below mediocre.
