Service was the first red flag -- our waitress never brought plain creamer to the table, so I had to walk over and grab some off another table myself. She also never came back for coffee refills and never once asked how the food was. It felt like she was actively avoiding our table the whole meal. And the food didn't make up for it at all. Everything was bland with zero seasoning -- like it came straight out of the pan with nothing added. The egg whites were runny instead of cooked through, and the "famous" pancakes everyone raves about were chewy, not fluffy. We spent over $50 for what ended up being the plainest, most disappointing breakfast we've had in a long time. Won't be back.

The restaurant is next door to a vintage roadside motel called Motel Trees. Inside the restaurant is spacious and had just reopened for the season this Spring. While the food was good the kitchen service, on the other hand, was very slow... holy moly, it took at least between 30-45 mins to get our food. We were probably dining at the same time as the recent 1-star reviewer who complained about the wait. We were there on a Sunday during the Memorial Day weekend. Everyone was waiting for their food... and it's even worse when families have kids. We came to dine here because it was convenient and just across the street from Trees of Mystery. Please save yourself $300 a night, heartache, and trauma. I've never seen anything like it. There was garbage surrounding the entire cabin, half of the lights didn't work, there's a gas oven in the kitchen, yet no kitchen towels nor oven mitts. No soap in the kitchen whatsoever, so you can't wash your hands or dishes. Cabins 17 and 18 are literally falling down it was so disturbing. There is no way to enjoy the outdoors between the cabins falling down and the garbage. The bed was comfortable, the towels in the bathroom were plush, and the one night we needed the night manager she was kind and responsive. That's the extent of the positives. The pictures on their website make it look rustic and charming, this was an entirely disappointing and disturbing experience.
