The burgers are SPECTACULAR! I've only been here once as of today but I'll be back regularly. I had the Klamath burger, bacon, ham, over easy egg, onion rings, Swiss and American. Buns were toasted and let to rest as to not congeal the mayo prior to assembly. I've been behind the grill for almost 40 years now, but I ended up paralyzed after a spinal surgery, needless to say watching the owner/cook bring out our food cooked to perfection, smiling big, made my heart right again. This is a bar so if you have children don't plan on sitting inside and eating. They have a window you can order from and a picnic table outside to eat at if you're under age, you can also get it to go. We ordered a wing basket, a grilled ham and cheese and a cheeseburger. Everything was just fine. It was edible, but not the best we ever had. There's slim pickings around so it's fine if you're hungry and not expecting a lot. My Wife and I came up to stay in Klamath to get lost in the Redwoods for my birthday and I have to say I think I got more lost in how amazing my Bacon Cheeseburger and margarita was from Country Grill. Stopped in here for lunch. You order at a window just inside the front door, pay, and then grab a seat. It wasn't busy the day I visited - there was maybe 6 people total in the joint. I grabbed a seat at the bar and ordered an IPA. It took about 20 minutes for my order to come out - a cheeseburger and fries. The cheeseburger was really good, fries were hot and crisp. As others have noted, there are a ton of $1 bills tacked to the ceiling. There are a lot of 'em! Previous reviews of this place state they had problems with cigarette smoke - there was no smoking inside as far as I could tell - and it did not smell like smoke inside, Also, I paid for both my food at the window, and my beer at the bar - with a credit card - so experiences of the past here where they only accepted cash - are a thing of the past. The is definitely a "Dive-Bar-esqueness" to this place! It's definitely not a "Country Club!" Pretty much the o ly place in town open for dinner, but the food is surprisingly good. Although it's mostly fried food, but the dip sauce is homemade, and staff is very friendly. Full bar. Price is quite fair. Definitely recommend for people staying overnight at nearby hotels. read more

I must admit my expectations were low since this place is pretty much the only game in town (literally) when the casino restaurant across the street is closed. We waited over 40 minutes for an order for three people on a Saturday at about 6 pm, but I have to say the food was worth the wait. The burgers were juicy and the fries had the perfect amount of potato and crispness. Note: Grilled cheese is the only option if you don't eat meat. We also overheard a girl saying she had a peanut allergy and the woman at the counter had no idea what kind of cooking oil they use. You can't eat inside if you're under 21, so the takeout window is the only option for families with kids. There's a picnic table outside and a park nearby. read more

Awesome dive bar with a great cabin style old school atmosphere. Decor is mostly made up of of old photos of logging workers which is super cool, old saws, some animal trophies and your typical dive bar beer signs decor. Working jukebox with great variety of music. Wood burning fireplace kept it nice and toasty. Really great bar food, the burgers are fantastic! Boyfriend and I played a few rounds of pool, enjoyed a few brews and some burgers with fries. Staff is super friendly and we loved the dive bar vibes. My friends and I came to the Country Club Bar and Grill for some burgers...we were extremely disappointed. The man working the kitchen was incredibly dismissive and rude. He swore rather loudly talking badly about the customers for asking questions. It was so terrible that several people left and did not order food or drinks. This establishment had an overwhelming heavy/creepy feeling and smelled of smoke. The burgers however, were delicious which is why I give this place 2 stars instead of 1. The only reason we stopped here was because there was a road closure and it was the only place open close by. If you are not a local to the area I would recommend ordering to go or bypassing this place all together. read more

This is the ultimate dive bar. Allergic to cigarette smoke? Better to skip this place. Or order to go. The bar is off to the left of the entrance. The grill is to your immediate right. Order at the window, pay, and your meal will be brought to your table. Great burgers. All cooked well. The beef patty is easily 1/2 lb. and sprinkled with garlic powder. We stopped by the Holiday Inn Klamath for 1 night (Sunday night) on our way up to Washington and the only place open for dinner was the Country Club. Tired and skeptical, we walked across the street to give it a try. To our surprise, the Western BBQ burger, seafood basket and fried chicken gizzards were pretty decent. The margarita was awesome (probably 2 shots of tequila in there or something!!) Can't complain about the price points either. We're Asian but didn't get the discriminating vibe while dining here. The bartender is very friendly. The cook and his wife are also very pleasant. The people who dined here are all hotel guests, nice and friendly. The decor can use some updates and dusting. Absolutely disgusting! The Cooks were out front smoking when we arrived and said we will be in in a few minutes. When they came in, the one with back problems was rubbing her nose without a tissue. She went straight into the kitchen and started cooking WITHOUT WASHING HANDS. The entire time we were there neither of them washed hands. The food was good but don't even think of ordering the fries crispy. She will tell you "we cook them like we cook them". This place is gross and expensive. Not going back! read more

I have to say when walking into the C.C. to look at their menu, I was scared (dark and for sure a biker bar kinda feel) AND as the first post mentioned, it smelled like major SMOKE, in fact the bartender was smoking inside and because nothing else was opened we decided to order some food to go. I got the patty melt, my husband a grilled cheese and my son a cheese burger, all with fries. We ate the food inside the R.V. and I had the BEST patty melt I've had in my life. Cooked perfectly and the flavor, onions and sauce was PERFECT, so was the rye bread. So good my husband who only likes the finest "meat" ate half of the sandwich as it was rather large. My son enjoyed his burger as well. The cook was really nice and really did put a lot into making us a great afternoon lunch/early dinner. We stayed at the Holiday Inn Express across the street and we wanted to get a drink to which the front desk guy pointed us this way. He said there's "characters" at this bar and that he's heard it's good people watching, if anything. The bar was to the left. There was a bunch of tables, a pool table, darts, and a jukebox. Nothing fancy. We met locals and had a good time. They invited us into conversations and we were part of the scene and played pool. I was surprised you can smoke in the bar.. it's California, right? Or are we deep in the State of Jefferson? Or is it Yurock status? I don't know. We left our mark with our own signed dollars on the ceiling.. had a good time. Three stars was a difficult choice. Here's why... This tiny bar has some badass history and delicious burgers (if you pretend they aren't cooked anywhere in/near/around the establishment). In order to fully enjoy this establishment I recommend that you stop caring about whether or not the people handling your food actually wash their hands, ignore the sticky tables, chairs and floor, probably be as drunk as you can and then go there with friends.
