I was staying at the Bayview Inn across the street, when the evening hotel manager said this restaurant has good reviews. I ordered to-go. While waiting for the 3 tacos I ordered, I looked around, finding this restaurant to be friendly, with beautiful paintings and pictures on the walls. There are several tables to eat at, and you can reserve ahead of time. The tacos were delicious at $15.99. I'd definitely recommend this restaurant. Parking is limited in the front, but the back has plenty of space for many vehicles. Enjoy! read more

A hidden gem in crescent city. While visiting Redwoods, we had a lovely family dinner at Perlita's. Service was the best, and food was authentic, tastes just like home. I especially loved their chicken mole. The portions are very generous and menu had so much to choose from. Definitely worth the stop. read more

We came to custom city for the day and we're hungry for lunch. We looked for a gluten-free option for Mexican food and we ended up at Perlitas. My table mates had the Sopes, flautas, Chile relleno/taco combination and I had a TLAYUDA which was excellent with Oaxaca cheese and Al Pastor. service was great and this is likely the most authentic place in Crescent city to have a Mexican meal! Lots of desserts available, but we were too full. Also, the attention to allergen issues was excellent! read more

The best chili relleno I have ever had. The sauce had something in it that was amazing. The pork tamale was good as well. I really wanted to try the carne asada chimichangas because folks raved about it. I did enjoy the chimichanga, but the carne asada was so fatty that I almost couldn't eat it. I also didn't care for the guacamole. I was happy they brought a large salsa for the table. I would definitely go back for the relleno. Our server was very friendly. Our food came out quick and hot despite two large birthday parties. read more

Great menu. I didn't see fish taco on the menu, so I asked the server, and she said they have it. So I ordered 3 without knowing they are quite big. Fortunately, I didn't make it a combo meal, which comes with rice and beans. The fish was flavorful but a bit salty after awhile. The chicken mole my husband had was good, he liked it. He helped me with my third taco. We were stuffed. We also had a beer and hochata. A nice little spot in town. read more

Great food. Definitely recommend if you are in the area. Great service as well. Fajitas and Chili Colorado were so good.

This small little restaurant is a gem! Although it is small, our food was delicious and authentic. It appears family owned, and everyone involved was very helpful and gracious. And the prices were very reasonable. I would highly recommend this restaurant. You will clean your plate! read more

This spot was right across my hotel so popped in to get dinner. It's a small restaurant but servers were so friendly . I ordered the green enchilada and chicken taco combo which comes with rice and beans. It was so yummy!! The enchilada was a good portion, flavorful and honestly was to fill me up. The rice was a bit dry but still very good and the beans with cheese on top were delicious. My family also ordered the super chicken quesadilla and crispy chicken tacos, both portion sizes were huge and lasted us till lunch the next day :) read more

I only stopped in for an horchata so I can only comment on that--it was so good! It's that drink that, after having it on my first trip to CA when I was very young, I've spent my life always trying it wherever I go. Many places use a mix but not Perlita's. The helpful, sweet, cheery lady named Lupe who was working said they make theirs from scratch. And you can tell! read more

It was okay but not great. I would not eat there again. The server was like a guy who didn't understand English and not friendly but polite. Not enough cheese on my enchiladas and the sauce was too sweet. Nothing special about the inside. Very small seating area. read more

I had the three Flautas with beans & rice. Tasty but not over the top. My wife had one enchilada with rice n beans, she said it was good.

So good. The chimichanga are the bomb! They are always a staple when coming into the city for vacation

Came down from Portland where there's no such thing as good Mexican food. Perlita's saved the day with an amazing, smothered super burrito with carne asada, served quickly with a smile and enough for two big meals read more

Stopped by for a nice dinner. Customer service was great and the server was really kind. We were given chips and salsa to start. The salsa was tasty with the right amount of spiciness. I ordered the chile Colorado burrito, which is hard to find in southern Cali as it always tends to be made with pork down south. But it was beef! Beef was good and tender and luckily didn't have the squishy fat you sometimes find in it. So it was a pleasant culinary experience. My hubby ordered the bistec picado. Meat was a little tough, but the salsa it was made with and the beans and rice were good. Then for dessert we ordered a flan. Oh my!! That was delicious!! read more

I think fate brought me to Perlita's. We were out wondering the Redwoods National Park when my brain caught a striking scent of good Mexican food. I turned to my wife and daughter and said, "How about we get Mexican food for dinner? I'm sure there's a place in Crescent City." So we got back to the car and searched the Internet and found good reviews for Perlita's... Ok. We'll try it out. Very happy that we did! A really unassuming store front plays down the exquisite food served. I got the Chile Verde and my wife a tamale and Chile relleno. Daughter got a bean and cheese kids burrito. The food came out and while it's not dressed up all fancy it has some of the best flavor I can recall. I think the corn tortillas were house made too. So good! So, so good! We all know Mexican food is some of the best cuisine in the world and the friendly staff at Perlita's really know how to deliver it. read more

Great food and quick service - with a smile! We will come back if we are in this area.

Sorry the food was one of the worst I've had in Crescent City. The waitress never smiled and acted like she was inconvenienced.

Delicious!! One of the best Chilli Verde burritos I've ever had!! Full of flavor and just delicious!!

Place sucks they cater to white people straight up ignored us for 30 minutes without telling us they were busy couldn't bother to at least give us some more chips didn't even really want to take our order geeze guys we used to love coming here what a shame guess you care more about tourists than locals definitely will tell everyone I know to just go to La playa in Brookings they are way better and are cheaper and faster read more

Wow, this is super tough. We come to CC usually every or every other year. The last time we came was two years ago and we were very disappointed in Perlitas, the food and staff had killed it prior to 2020. That said we're back out four was ok'ish and I personally was brought my meal 17 minutes after the rest of my family. We all walked out and noted the Rigoberto's had better food and it's a drive through. I don't think we will ever be back. read more

Traveled to Crescent City to visit the Trees of Mystery. We arrived around 1800 and were ready to eat. The lady working the front desk at our hotel highly recommended Perlita's, along with a couple of other local restaurants. Of course, I looked on Yelp to do my own research. Despite the mixed reviews, we decided to try this place. Once we arrived, it was already pretty busy. However, it did not take long for us to get seated (about five minutes). We were seated and immediately served chips and salsa. The salsa was pretty good, with the right amount of heat. My boyfriend ordered the chili verde burrito and two crunchy beef tacos. I ordered the carnitas. We're not sure where the poor reviews of this place came from. Even with the short staff (like most places these days), the service was good and the food was delicious. Thank you, Perlita's for some delicious Mexican food! read more

Perlita's Mexican restaurant is the best Mexican place in Crescent City in my opinion. It has delicious food, reasonably priced meals, and friendly servers. Always enjoy any dish I pick. I love the Mexican chicken salad, so delicious, with sour cream and guacamole on top. Or the Chile rellano is very good too! My husband loves it too! We highly recommend this restaurant! read more

I used to love to go to a higher end Mexican restaurant in Oklahoma City, where you enter into a place that transforms into a slice of Mexican home with truly authentic Mexican foods! Perlita's definitely one of these magical places that you experience a real Mexican cuisine at the highest level and quality for fraction of the cost. The Chimichanga and Fish Tacos on Flour Tortilla and spicy green salsa with sour cream and stuffed green jalapeños are something that floats your tastebuds deep into Yucatán territory without you possessing passport! My friends, be careful when you enter this enchanted castle of sort. The magic of true Mexico will make you become a forever patron like their famous Tequila. By the way their microbrew beer is Sierra Nevada beer. Only Mexican restaurant that serves IPA. read more

Our family never passes up the opportunity to dine at Perlita's whenever we drive through Crescent City. It's a nice authentic Mexican restaurant with tasty food, an extensive menu and belt-busting portions! My sons ordered the chimichanga combos, hubs had the cod fish burrito, and I had the chicken molé burrito. I'm normally not even a fan of molé but decided to be adventurous. This molé was different, not too sweet but was really rich and spicy with a complex flavor. It was really quite special! The other dishes were also very good but more typical of homey Mexican restaurants. The desserts and sweet empanadas were tempting but declined to order (thank goodness I remembered to wear my stretchy pull-on pants). The servers were friendly and attentive, often checking in on all of the diners. This place doesn't disappoint, check it out! read more

Pretty good! Super filling and satisfying. I've had better and more flavorful but I think for the area I was happy with it. I got the burrito supreme which was like a wet burrito. The quesadilla also looked good but I didn't get to try it. read more

I asked for a crispy Carne Asada taco, they don't make any such thing. It has to be a soft taco. He explains to me.
