Advertises as a steakhouse but really is only a mediocre burger place. Steak was only modest and I could do much better myself at home. Vegetables accompanying it were squash and carrots ~ no real flavor. Menu was lackluster and no desserts at all listed on the menu. Hardly any patrons at dinner time. Service was quick but waitress couldn't make up for the poor menu. They had about 6 or 7 beers listed so obviously this place is for alcoholics but not hungry travelers. Breakfast served at 11:00 am for those hungover but they don't open for breakfast until 11:00 am. Why bother? I have been dealing with Rick for 20 years. He impressed me with his knowledge, timeliness, and professional approach from day one! So much so that I will not buy a TV or internet service from anyone else. I trust him and Gail with the keys to my house anytime. Our group of 11 was at the river in town in 100 degree weather. We swam all day and worked up our appetites for dinner in the cooler evening. My cousin made reservations at the Big Foot Steakhouse for us almost as an amusement. She knew that there was a lot of memorabilia from the history of the town was on the walls and it was just going to be a fun place for a big hungry crowd. We were looking for another experience because her brother finally got married the day before and we just wanted the high from the backyard 80s band to carry over to the next day. When we entered they had the table ready for us, set glasses filled with ice water. Server was adorable. We noticed that a lot of appetizers were sold by the pound! We decided to order poppers and fried mushrooms and zucchini with the ranch dip, but we all guessed how many jalepeno poppers would be in one pound. I thought make 5 or 6 in an order would be a pound. You know what, they brought 11 out so that everyone got one, same with the mushrooms same with the zucchini fritters. So that was just very generous of them. One of us got the big foot steak sandwich, it was actually really good. Salad was nice and crunchy. Generous with the pickles. Others ordered burgers and pulled pork sandwich. Both the steak and pork sandwiches were so huge that only half was consumed at the table and they needed boxes to take the other half home. Three of us ordered taco salads with steak. The avocado was super fresh, the steak cooked well, but the rest of the salad was super bland. We needed to dump all the salsa on it to make it have flavor. One of was fine with the taco salad, I just got corrected. I noticed my mom put salt on her taco salad, so I cannot vouch the salad but some of us liked it. Veggie burger with onion rings and it was delicious!!!!Very generous again with the dill Pickles. Pistol burger and mustard Swiss were amazing. Senior pot roast was unimpressive. Don't order the pot roast (but really it was 100 degrees outside so maybe that was our bad). Willow creek is a small town. My wife and I are on a fishing trip and just hanging out on the trinity river fishing. We wanted lunch so we popped into Bigfoot for a quick bite to eat before fishing. Chicken fried steak was PHENOMENAL. But what wasn't phenomenal was the lack of service. Not a single refill, never checked on us. Eggs ordered were over medium (I give a wide margin of error here because over medium is hard for people to cook) but came out even a little under done for over easy. We were completely finished with our meal before we could get our waitresses attention (she was busy flirting with the cook) she brought the eggs back out right away on the same plate and you could tell they did not cook them any additional time. Was traveling through Willow Creek and because I've never stopped in before I decided it was about time to try one of the local restaurants. I settled on Bigfoot Restaurant because the outside looked nice, almost like a lodge of sorts, and considering all of the signs it seemed a really big deal. As I always do I ordered breakfast; specifically the logger two egg breakfast. Everything was cooked well and had great flavor. It was however a bit expensive compared to most places but I left full and satisfied. My companion got the Bigfoot club sandwich and that too was a bit pricey but was tasty. First of all i placed an order on the phone for a togo and it was The most awkward phone interaction I've ever had. The guy talked over me the entire time i was trying to order. There was a misunderstanding about the pricing on the "lunch special" offers with a simple solution of just removing one item off my order. I didnt know you could only order 1 side item at lunch special price and He acted like this was the biggest deal in the world and talked over me the entire time and even rudely mentioned that "next time I wouldn't be allowed to cancel an item from my order" .... does he not realize i havent paid yet? I could have just turned around and walked out of the restaurant and left my order there. So moving onto the food. I ordered a "half rack" of ribs with onion rings. The half rack would be more accurately described as a quarter rack. 4 bones and 4 onion rings for around $12. The ribs were chewy, fatty, some of the worst I've had. The 4 onion rings would have been good but whoever prepped them forgot to remove the skin from the outside of the onion so that was annoying. Oh and my 4 oz side of ranch that i was charged $1.25 for? I only had 4 onion rings how am i supposed to use that much ranch? Now onto the diarrhea. Tough times for restaurants post-COVID. Definitely trying to be understanding about quality and service in a post COVID world. This was easily the worst meal myself and my family have ever eaten. Gristly, under seasoned steaks that were inconsistently cooked. No salt and pepper even on the steak. Bland baked potato served with just sour cream. Really horrific fettuccine Alfredo - no seasoning, no salt, no pepper, no parsley - absolutely zero flavor. Our server didn't bring back salt,'pepper, or even check on us.
