Another Yelp review disappointment. Reviews were highly rated on Yelp and Google. Experience did not meet the expectation. They have fresh fish for fajitas. It lacked seasoning. They have homemade chips and salsa. It's free unless you order extra which you have to pay. That's fine, I didn't mind paying extra because they also gave us spicy sauce. Ambiance was ok. Server was very prompt, friendly and helpful with suggestions. When one guest had a special request, it was accommodated. The food, a chile relleno, chicken enchiladas smothered in a nice thick mole sauce topped with queso fresco, cilantro, and onions, and a cheese enchilada. Each dish came with very generous servings of rice and beans. Each dish was excellent. We would have them again. I really wanted to love this place. The lady was nice, looked good inside, but I'm disappointed. I paid $17.28 for a bowl of menudo, and while the broth tasted good and it came with all the usual stuff (lime, cilantro, onions, tortilla, and salsa), the main reason you order menudo was almost nonexistent. I didn't realize how little tripe there was until I got all the way home and started digging through the bowl. Most of it was small pieces, with only about three larger pieces in the entire serving. For nearly $18, that's just not acceptable. I was still hungry after finishing it and actually had to add my own chicken at home just to make it a complete meal. I wish I would have checked before driving off..:( read more

Everything was delicious! We each had the chicken enchiladas, one red and one with green sauce and they were excellent. We also had one enchilada and will definitely order again. Our only minor complaint was that the food could have been hotter. It Just needed a few more minutes of heating. The server was attentive and checked up on us regularly. The ambiance was cute and the music was great and not too loud. They have their own parking lot which is needed on Harris. Btw the salsa and chips are homemade and really delicious! As soon as we walked in we knew we had picked the right spot to eat at. The decor was vibrant and authentic with lively colors and fun music. The service was also excellent and our server was very attentive, checking on us to see how our experience was going. We decided to get the molcajete and it was SO GOOD. Different meats like carne asada, chicken, shrimp, and spicy sausage. It also had nopales, charred green onions, and an unforgettable very spicy salsa. I'm still thinking about that salsa. We loved this place! They serve wonderful homemade foods. We had homemade mole, tortilla chips (the best I've ever tasted), and homemade salsas, both hot and mild. There's an authenticity here that I haven't seen in a restaurant since I lived in Mexico. The ambiance is very Mexican; basic and not too fancy. The portions are huge which is very American. I had a very good cheese enchilada and a chili relleno that could have been better. Rice and beans were perfect. Often times Mexican restaurants serve undercooked rice and I don't know why. The sopapillas for dessert were perfectly dusted with cinnamon and sugar and drizzled with honey. One order was enough for two. They have an amazing selection of domestic and Mexican been ON TAP! We have visited Casa Garcia twice in a month. Service is fast and friendly. Food is freshly prepared. My husband thought the chile rellano had too much cheese - I don't understand those words. What is too much cheese? On the second visit he had spinach enchiladas which were more to his liking. I had a taco salad with shredded beef and on the first visit, a burrito with carne asada. Prices are quite reasonable. If I had one ask, it would be for hotter table salsa, but other than that, it's a nice neighborhood place. read more

We have found our new go-to spot! This place was super cozy. The prices are great and its family run which is fun to see. First came the chips and salsa. The chips must have been home made they were crispy and fresh. The house salsa was perfect for the whole table not too hot or too cool. The service was great and they were very attentive to our table and anything we needed. I got the chile verde and tamale and even the day after I am thinking about it! They smother the tamale in the chile verde sauce. The tamale on its own was also delicious the filling was flavorful and paired well with the masa. I will be coming back to it. My husband had the quesabirria and the first bite he gave me that look of amazement at the juicy, tender meat and crispy shells. The consommé was perfect and fit so well with the tacos. We were spending the day in Eureka and wanted Mexican food. I'm glad we wound up at Casa Garcia's. They have a parking lot, but we were able to park our vehicle and travel trailer on the street. The staff were welcoming as soon as we entered the restaurant. There was a table tent showing a fermented pineapple beverage that we had to try. They also had a variety of beers. The menu has some interesting items, including house made mole and some regional items from Guanajuato and Mexico City that we don't normally see. We settled on the Azteca nachos and La Chantla (the flip flop). The nachos were made with very good chips and generously topped. We ran out of chips before toppings. La Chantla was like a very large, platter-sized, sope topped with beans, nopales, and meat or veg of your choice. It was a big plate that would have been enough for us to share. The server was very nice, and she was flexible about what ingredients would be in our dishes. There is a bar to sit at and a good number of tables. The overall ambience was cheerful. Whether you're local or passing through town, give this place a try. It's a bargain for what you get, and they're nice. read more

My wife and I ate lunch here today. Wow! Very clean, good vibe (even early in the day when we went), and friendly, attentive service. I had the Cochinita pibil tacos (a slow roasted pork) with habanero and pickled red onion while my wife had the Birria tacos. Both popped with flavor and were excellent. Normally I struggle to find truly spicy food at restaurants but the habanero here did the job. They have a full bar which we didn't try today due to it being early and my being on call for work. But we'll definitely be back to try. Safe to say we've found our new Mexican spot in Eureka! read more

Such an epic gem in Eureka! The chicken mole enchiladas were so bomb, the wet burrito was delicious. Chicken tinga tostada was super yum. My dad got the garlic shrimp and it was bomb.
