Date night at Sasha's was definitely an experience--and not in the "we can't wait to come back" kind of way. We walked in and no host was present. We went to the bar to ask if it was self-seating and were told it was not. A gentleman got up from a table near the bar to seat us, then had to turn around because he forgot the utensils. Once seated, we waited quite a while without being acknowledged by the host or a server. I raised my hand to someone in black gloves who appeared to be helping on the floor, but he walked away. My date eventually had to go to the bar to ask for assistance. A young server finally came over chewing gum with his mouth open and handed us a QR-code menu flyer. I gave my order and mentioned that we wanted hookah. He said he would get the hookah attendant and started walking away--without taking my date's order. I had to stop him: "Wait, wait, wait. He hasn't even ordered yet." Apparently, taking the entire table's order was an optional feature that night. The drinks took forever. When my date's Old Fashioned arrived, it was in a dirty glass. Then we noticed our water glasses were dirty too. Nothing says "premium date-night atmosphere" like wondering whether the glassware was washed or merely introduced to water. The food was mixed. The salmon was good. The mashed potatoes were cold and tasted like instant potatoes. My calamari was manageable, but very greasy and covered in so much Parmesan cheese that it looked like someone had tried to bury the evidence. The hookah situation was the grand finale. We ordered the Miami Amore because it was described as sweeter than minty. What we received tasted smoky and oily. We explained the issue to the hookah attendant, who had me remove my filter so he could try it himself. He immediately choked, coughed, beat his chest, adjusted the coals, tried it again, and had the same reaction. Then he gave the hand-across-the-neck signal: no-go. When the person who made the hookah rejects it, there is really nothing left to discuss. I asked for it to be removed from the check. By that point, we were over the entire experience. The host was actually wonderful--friendly, attentive once we connected with him, and he had amazing nails. He was the bright spot of the evening. We explained the dirty glasses, delayed drinks, cold potatoes, and hookah that failed its own quality-control test. He offered to remake things, but we were done. He said he would get a manager, but no manager ever came. The meal was ultimately comped. I genuinely enjoy supporting Black-owned businesses and wanted to love Sasha's. But the service, cleanliness, and food consistency need serious attention. The salmon was solid, the host was kind, and the meal being comped was appreciated--but this date night felt less like dinner and more like an unpaid episode of Restaurant Rescue. read more

This place is a total vibe. The decor is nice. So many pretty flowers. This os a great place to host a party. The service was great. Our server was so nice and patient with our party of 10 people. They have TV's in the bar area and in the main dining area. Let's not forget the DJ who was playing some good music. Our group was singing, dancing in their seats and eating. Hubby and I ordered the seafood combo which consisted of catfish, shrimp. Hubby got fries for his side and I ordered cabbage for my side and we split a side of collard greens. The food was delicious and flavorful. Other people in our party orders the Creole chicken pasta, Creole shrimp pasta, the Jerk chicken with rice and peas and cabbage, and oxtails with rice and peas.( I didn't get a chance to take pictures of the food) Everyone was raving about how good their food was. We will most definitely be back. We want to some for brunch and also comeback on Friday night for live music and dinner. read more

I will start by saying just don't waste your time going here. Went on Valentine's Day for a birthday brunch. The establishment was not busy at all and there was about 13 people in our party. The waitress Taylor was sweet. The decor needs a major upgrade, the floors appear dirty and the chairs are dirty and some were peeling. The food was absolutely garbage. Eggs had no taste, grits had no taste. You could only order off the limited brunch menu, so no appetizers could be ordered. The band was absolutely amazing (I'd definitely hire them to perform at my wedding) and the drinks were delicious. It did take about 30-45 minutes for the mimosa tower which was absolutely ridiculous. Would I return? For the drinks and the band only and that'd only if someone invited me. I would not return on my own, nor would I recommend this establishment. read more

Came with a group of ladies for an enjoyable Friday evening. Upon arrival, there's plenty of parking and the hostess were very friendly. We waited for our party to completely arrive and we were seated. Our waitress was attentive and polite. The aesthetic was nice (loved the emerald green) and there was a DJ playing music for your enjoyment. My only issue was the food - it definitely didn't match the positives I just mentioned. I ordered a strawberry lemon drop, and later, the Sasha and I did enjoy both of these drinks. For food, I ordered the lamb chops and they came with 1 side (I got collard greens). Unfortunately, the lamb just wasn't a great cut and the greens tasted from the can (seemed to be mixed greens). I did try my friend's nachos and the cheese was not it! You should pass on the eggrolls as well. I didn't finish my food and left pretty hungry. The drinks were great and vibes were there but that's about it. read more

I celebrated my birthday at Sasha's and babyyyyy when I tell you everything was ON POINT! The staff was professional, attentive, and full of good energy. The service was smooth and flawless. The music YUP, is a whole vibe. And the food was absolutely amazing every bite better than the last! Plenty of parking and the inside is beyond gorgeous. I took so many pictures. The atmosphere just feels like a celebration! The owner build this place out of love you feel it when you walk in. 10/10 experience I will definitely be back! read more

I'm not sure how long they have been open, but it looks like they just opened. The decor seems unfinished. It has good bones, but they need an interior decorator if they are done. The staff is very accommodating and friendly. The food is good, but not great. We went for brunch: I had fish (catfish) and grits. The dish was perfectly cooked, but the fish could have used a bit more seasoning my husband got the oxtails and grits. He enjoyed it. I didn't like that there are no appetizers at brunch. I guess they just want you to drink. While it wasn't bad, I wouldn't recommend it. read more

Sunday Funday Brunch. Sasha's I wanted to really like it, but it was just ok. I will go back again as somethings were good. I like to give most restaurants 2 chances to get it right. It started off slightly bad as I wanted oxtails. I was told they wouldn't be ready till later. It's on the brunch menu so it should have been READY. Ok dealing with my people I know how things go. So ordered my next choice. Lamb Chops 3 STARS The lamb chops were tender and meaty. They lacked flavor though. The seasoning could be a bit better and maybe more char. Potatoes 4 STARS The potatoes were SO damn good! Seasoned to perfection with onions and bell peppers. I would have gave 5 Stars but they were warm and should have been hot. Eggs 4 STARS The eggs were cooked well and tasted great. I'm not a big egg person, but I enjoyed these. Lemon Drop Martini 4. 5 STARS MY cocktail was on point. It was delicious and I was happy. My friend had Strawberry and it was awful. I was glad I stuck to the classic. So overall food and drinks were good. The presentation of food is nice. Service was decent and our waiter was cool. Also please note gratuity is added in. Reservations are also a bonus and would suggest. Ambiance it has some cute details. The fish tank is a nice touch. It's refurbished and was originally cafe 214. So some of the decor is the same. The colors are happy and bright. Also there is a DJ and that was awesome. I was happy to support and see the potential. I will update my review. I will try happy hour soon. read more

Came here for an event. Food and drinks were amazing but the service was SOOOOO slow! I had intended to come for a short while in order to go to another event, but the service was so slow, I ended up missing. It was busy but the menu was limited, so it shouldn't have taken as long. I got the catfish and grits, but my grits were cold. My dish was very flavorful and well seasoned. I ate half there and really got to truly enjoy it, heating my other half properly at home. Additionally, we had to repeatedly ask for simple things like silver, ketchup and hot sauce. The latter two items never came. I'll definitely go back, but not while crowded. read more

From the outside, Sasha's is easy to miss--I'm looking forward to them putting up a proper sign soon. But once you step inside, it's a complete transformation. The space is stunning, with floral artistic touches that show real thought went into the design. It's modern, airy, and full of personality. There are plenty of booths for comfortable seating, a spacious full bar, and even a DJ that keeps the energy just right. We arrived as soon as brunch started, and the service was exceptional--attentive, friendly, and fast. The food was flavorful and fresh, and the hookah added a nice social touch to the experience. Even the bathroom stood out with marble finishes that match the upscale vibe of the rest of the place. All around, this is the kind of spot that feels like it's about to blow up. I predict Sasha's will become a Dallas hot spot very soon read more

A friend and I had pre dinner cocktails at Sasha's. Shelby was our bartender and she was so personable and made it seem as though we'd known her for years. She gave other black owned restaurant recommendations and even introduced us to the owner. I had a peach and mango lemon drop. It was sweet but I didn't taste any liquor. My friend and I plan to return to in the future. read more

Ok, so this night, for dinner and a movie was a tad bit empty, but it could've been because of the movie choice (Pursuit of Happyness)), but we loved the movie! That's not what blew us away though - the food! Everything was hot, fresh and delicious. The calamari was fried perfectly, still tender, the Boudin eggrolls (which weren't really authentic boudin) had so much flavor, were cooked perfectly and the seafood platter was insanely delicious! We'd definitely be back for the food for sure! read more

The service was great and it has a nice ambiance with a dj. He was playing some good songs. Wasn't a fan of the heavy bleach smell when we walked in but we joked that at least it was clean. Now for the food. Overall the food was ok. They were out of Brussel sprouts which I was really hoping to try. Mango lemon drop: 8.5/10 this was delicious. Loved the presentation and really liked the flavor. Everyone enjoyed their drinks. 3 dip & chips: 2/10 salsa was basic, the queso was watery/thin and no sight of ground beef or tomatoes, and I didn't get any guacamole or corn salsa. Instead I received spinach artichoke dip and regular salsa, which lacked flavor and was watery as well. Not sure if the online menu differed from the QR code menu but if so, the online menu needs to be updated. Boudin egg rolls: 5/10 decent presentation but lacked flavor. Bacon wrapped shrimp: 7/10 shrimp was a little overcooked but overall it was good and you get a decent amount of shrimp. Creole pasta w/shrimp: 8/10 presentation was nice and decent flavor but had to add salt. The sauce was good but gelled after sitting for a little bit. Lamb chops w/Mac and cheese: 7/10 for the lamb chops. Nice flavor and cooked well. Liked the sauce that was on the chops. 3/10 for the Mac and cheese. One person said it tasted like it should've been on the kids menu (if they had one). It lacked flavor and was a little bland overall. I was looking for the cheese pull and cheese flavor but that was really lacking. Side mashed potatoes: 4/10 these were basic and nothing special. Could've used more butter and cream or something to make them smoother. They were a little chunky and gave off boxed mashed potatoes. read more

We came here for our Galentine's brunch, and the experience was mostly great! The staff was very friendly, and the food and drinks did not disappoint. We ordered a variety of cocktails--three different martinis, a mule, a margarita, and a Crown & Coke--and they definitely had us feeling good! For brunch, we had the catfish and grits, lamb chops and eggs, and oxtail and grits. Everything was flavorful, though I would have liked the grits to be a little creamier. The only downside was the billing process--I wasn't able to review an itemized bill before paying, and gratuity was automatically added even though our party was only three people. A heads-up would have been appreciated. Overall, a fun spot with great vibes, but transparency on the check would make it even better! read more

First off the food was great! The ambiance and the atmosphere is a little different-- than what we expected. The music is too loud and it's a little too dark for my liking. This is definitely giving a lounge or club with food rather than a restaurant with vibes. Having said that the food was good and the service was good too! The ambiance doesn't match the price point. read more

Don't waste your time! We ordered the surf and turf and the lobster tail wasn't cooked all the way! My seafood omelet was dry and burnt so the shrimp was extra chewy! The hostess didn't tell us that we couldn't order from the dinner menu for an entire hour and then we only had 10 minutes left to order from the brunch menu. Let's not get on the drinks. The drinks tasted like premade margarita mix from Walmart even if you order a higher grade spirit like Don Julio, I don't even think it had Don Julio in it. I just think it was a premade margarita mix drink, dressed with sugar no presentation available with the drinks. They did not offer anything to makeup for the mishaps. Boo tomato tomato read more

Selected this location to celebrate my girlfriend's birthday and from the moment we walked thru the door.... It's a nah. No thank you to water, no thank you to food or drinks. The food at Sasha's is AMAZING. I have been twice food for dinner and everything was so delicious. The first time I was there it was a Saturday and the ambiance was a little louder than I expected more of a party. The second time I went was a Thursday it was less of a crowd and my server Deja deserves a raise! Oh the drinks are amazing too! read more

Great food and the ambiance is wonderful for a lounge. I will definitely be returning.

Went on a Wednesday for "movie night". Was the only couple there and seated first, our orders weren't taken. 2 couples came in after us (a total of 6 people)... still no orders taken or drinks made. I had to physically get up and try to go make a bowl of popcorn. My server then offered to make me some. At that point, I asked is there a certain time we can start ordering or what? AT THAT POINT AFTER WAITING ALL THIS TIME, we are told that the cooks JUST arrived and are behind and have to see what they have. After getting my overly dry popcorn and ordering just a simple Shirley temple, I didn't even get the Shirley temple. Throat was dryer than a bowl of communion crackers. At this point, we just got up and left. For it to be only 6 people, everyone should've easily been able to communicate that THERE IS NO FOOD! Which, idk how they have a special and THERE IS NO FOOD! Couldn't even get a drink but there was drinks being made behind the bar for friends of staff. Unprofessional. Never returning & work on customer service, this has the potential to be cool. read more

I really wanted to like this place, but after two visits, I'm done giving it chances. My first visit was in October 2025, and my second (and final) visit was on New Year's Eve in December 2025. Unfortunately, both experiences were nearly identical. The food service was horrendous, and the food wait staff was horrible--slow, inattentive, and clearly overwhelmed or uninterested. We waited far too long for basic food, and once food arrived, it wasn't worth the wait. The server didn't bring cutlery to anyone at the table and visibly caught an attitude when asked for it. We also ordered hookah, which was very underwhelming and not worth the price or the wait. The one bright spot of the night was the live music, during the NYE visit. The atmosphere during the performance was enjoyable and honestly the highlight of the entire evening. If you plan to come here, I strongly recommend eating before you arrive or planning to eat after you leave. This may be an okay stop for drinks and music, but based on my experiences, the food and service are not reliable. Two visits were more than enough to confirm that. read more

If I could give this place 0 stars, I would. My friends brought me here for my birthday last night, and it was a complete nightmare. I really tried to let them take the lead, but I would never come back to this place. First, my friend made a reservation over two weeks ago for 9:30 PM. She even called the day before, and no one mentioned anything about a $75 table fee. It felt like they made that up the same day just because there was a free fight streaming on Netflix, and they wanted to be greedy. When we arrived, the music was blasting, kids were running around, and there was hookah everywhere--it was confusing whether this was supposed to be a restaurant, lounge, or daycare. We checked in on time, waited 15 minutes to be seated, and still no mention of the fee. After we sat down, not a single person came to greet us for over 30 minutes. My friend finally had to get up and ask for a waiter. When the server finally showed up, we ordered drinks and hookah, which we paid for right away. Then a woman claiming to be the manager came over and told us about the $75 table fee. I explained the lack of service, and how there was no mention of this fee on the website. Her response? "There's nothing I can do." Instead of improving our experience, she asked my friend what we thought she should do--as if that's not her job as a manager! We ended up paying the fee, but then asked to speak to the owner. The first man was dismissive and argumentative. A second one came, and by that point, I was furious. Not only was my birthday ruined, but it was clear they didn't care about their customers or their own reputation. I'll say this: you never know who's sitting in your establishment. I am a very successful woman, and I will make sure people know how this business treats paying customers. Terrible service, shady fees, and zero accountability. Don't waste your time or money here. We spent 200 and we only had 3 drinks and hookah. We paid fee and didn't stay . As we know other owners of other places . Saying this to say spend money where you are treated as you should be . read more

Based upon reviews decided to visit for Sunday Funday Brunch. Party of two we were sat a large both which the seats were dirty, we moved one booth over it was dirty and had ashes from the night before. Reservation was at noon which is when they opened for business. Asked if we could transition to the bar area. Enter Danisha the bartender. She is attentive to detail, glasses constantly filled. Danisha and the other gentleman definitely changed the experience in a more positive direction. The catfish and grits were seasoned perfectly! I comprehend an upcharge for premium vodkas like Effen, Chopin or Belvedere but Kettle One? Never in my brunch life have I paid $154 dollars (with auto gratuity) for one person. I believe I was charged $16 upcharge per in addition to the $14 martinis. The entree was $25.00. Because I enjoyed Danisha's service I did not hold it against her, tipped an additional $45.00. My lack of patronage will not make or break them, just sharing my experience. read more

Had I known this was the old Cafe 214 with a different name and same lousy customer service, definitely wouldn't have went. This place is a SCAM, but I'll get to that part. I made reservations at this "restaurant" because of the reviews on TikTok and wanted to try it out. I a friend of mine said she tried to have dinner here back in November but when they made it to the restaurant, they were told the kitchen closes early. Based on that I called and DMed to check. I'll attach the rude DM message too. Long story short we made it to the "restaurant" and they were charging to get in. As we were leaving to walk because why charge to get in "restaurant", and I guess the guy who was an owner or promoter let us in free. Waited over 30 minutes for mediocre food. Waitress brought the receipt and everything was fine with the receipt and after we handed over cards to pay she add her own gratuity for a table of three people. WILL NOT BE RETURNING! read more

Giving them 2 stars. One for the friendly and attentive host and one for the great music/ DJ. Sat at our table for 45 minutes before we got service to order drinks. Now, I would have normally walked out already but it was a birthday party so we all had to stay. After seeing that the water glasses and drink glasses looked dirty I decided to get something safe to eat. I ordered some wings which I ate 2 out of 6. Chicken didn't taste right at all. Tasted old like the back of the freezer, and that's with Lemmon pepper and buffalo sauce on it. 2 things to look out for. 1. 20% auto gratuity added to my check. We all ended up double tipping because we didn't know and didn't see it posted anywhere. Not sure if it's on every check or parties over 5 or 6. We had a party of 7 with a few different checks and all checks had an automatic 20% gratuity. I'm hoping it's just for large parties but you never know these days. 2. Trays. They don't have trays. Our waitress had to go back to the bar 4 times to bring all our drinks out and then we were able to toast. It's wild! Definitely not recommending this place. read more
