Well, this has been a mainstay in the Fairhope area since 2011, and has always been a favorite for a good, filling meal. The amount of food to choose from is vast. Veggies and side Turnip greens Mashed potatoes Mac and cheese Cabbage Corn Rutabaga Pinto beans Green beens Rice Entrees Spaghetti Baked chicken Fried chicken Pulled pork Fried fish Buffalo Bites Chicken and Dumplings Chicken livers Also turnip soup Salad bar Rolls, cornbread and a bunch of desserts. One interesting thing is that while it is all you can eat, they serve it cafeteria style. So you tell them what you want and they put it on the plate. This must have changed since COVID. You used to be able to serve yourself. The food is good, but it taste like someone is cooking scared. Nothing had any seasoning. Nothing popped with flavor. No smoke on the pulled pork (I got outside meat to be able to taste it) Bland spaghetti, bland chicken and dumplings, bland greens, bland, bland, bland - except for the fried chicken and fried fish which were okay, compared to the rest. Service was not overly friendly, or even friendly either. Pretty much here's your seat, here's your drink. I would probably come back one more time. Definitely will not come back if the next time is like this time. 2 1-2 stars is what I would give it. Rounding up to 3 in memory of a place that used to be a lot better. read more

Absolutely adore this place! Large selection, good food and great prices. Customer service is usually outstanding, but I will say today I was seated in the "side room" and a waitress never refilled our drinks nor did anyone pick up our used plates. This lack of service was a little concerning and I am hoping this is not a new trend in how they treat their guests. We'll see how our return trip goes, in 2019. read more

Several friends had told us about this buffet restaurant so we decided to try it. Several selections of entrees including pulled pork, fried fish, fried chicken including livers and gizzards and a few more. A build your own salad along with carrot salad and broccoli salad. Many desserts to choose from and a bread selection. A drink is included in the $11 lunch. Great deal and food was delicious except for the fried fish that was tough and hard to cut. They serve up some great comfort food, and it's a great change up for the traditional sit down and order. Think Morrison's and Piccadilly. For $11, you'll get as much to eat as you could possibly want, a drink that never runs out, and service with a smile, appreciation, and laughter. This place is very basic. Mismatched tables and chairs, a parking lot always packed, and many choices of meat and vegetables, but it's yummy and wholesome and a great deal for the bargain price. I took my elderly mother here for lunch...she had passed by literally thousands of times without stopping because of the full parking lot. I told her a full parking lot was an endorsement. LOL! We enjoyed everything we ate - a full and satisfying salad bar, fried chicken, fried pork chops (OMG!), and the special of the day was shepherd's pie. We also greatly enjoyed the green beans, lima beans, collards, and fried green tomatoes. The mac and cheese wasn't as great as I would like, but not a game-breaker. The desserts were plentiful - two cobblers, pudding, Jell-O and a good amount of fresh watermelon. Saraceno's has been on my radar for about a year after seeing all of the positive reviews. Last night, we were searching for something different and finally decided to go. Allow me to me preface this with I don't typically do buffets. Despite that, I loved the buffet there and will totally eat there again and again. Everything is fresh and nothing appeared to have been sitting out for hours. The buffet is loaded with everything from fried chicken and macaroni and cheese to baked fish and salad. There's something for every palate and dietary restriction. I was pleasantly surprised by their Boston butt, which had a perfect smoky flavor and texture. There were plenty of salad toppings and three desserts. The desserts, strawberry shortcake, Boston cream pie and banana pudding, were divine! The service was great. The price was extremely reasonable at only $12 per person. You can't buy and cook that much food at home for that price. I see us being regulars at Saraceno's. read more

Price has gone up again. They make you sit at tables they choose and get snarky if you ask for a different one. I've been sat by the line of people waiting for food just hovering over me while I ate. That alone made me not want to go back. The food is good. I don't know why they can't have a simple self serve buffet. They are also horrible at refilling your drinks. I'd much prefer to just serve myself and them do away with all of the extra employees they have in the middle. They over complicate the whole process and for the customer it makes it undesirable. What a great little southern buffet! We LOVED it. Several meats and vegetables to choose from, soup and salad, and desserts! We had the pulled pork and fried chicken. Went to Saraceno's for lunch after church this morning. Wow! This was a great find. Although it's much smaller than your run of the mill buffets. This place was great, they had a nice variety of down-home country vegetables and lots of different meats. Fried Chicken (really good) baked chicken, fried pork chops, bbq pork, meat loaf and fish. We were regular at Saraceno's until the road construction on Baldwin County Highway 32 placed that on hold. With the road construction behind us we formed a group of four and headed to Saraceno's for lunch at 11. Prior to this visit Saraceno's was a Buffet and the only change we noted (and liked) is they are now serving cafeteria style. It is still all inclusive at $12.50 per person with permission for seconds if you have a big appetite. Their specialty is chicken; fried, barbecued, or smoked. It's all good. They also have fish of which I cannot comment on since I go there for the chicken. Additionally, they have a variety of side dishes such as mashed potatoes, rice, green beans, greens, rolls, cornbread, shrimp & grits, and a salad bar that are available to go with your choice of meat. Did I mention desserts...? Yes! They have those as well! There are usually 3 to 4 choices. Drinks available or water, tea and a variety of soft drinks. The owner, Marta is right in there serving plates with her team. She is always welcoming and the staff that serves drinks at our tables are also kind and attentive. When you go in and look around the customers are working people, first responders and locals that know a great place for lunch. Just the kind of folks with whom I like to sit down and enjoy a meal. read more

OK, I like it and I like it a lot. There I said it. Being lost in Fairhope is one thing, but then running into the Chief of Police is another. Where is a good place to eat I inquired! Chief Press said "Saraceno's, it's a buffet" I was thinking I bet this guy doesn't get out much. A buffet is typically the last place I'd go, and Chief Hillbilly is directing me where. Well following the advice of the law we moseyed off to Saraceno's. A very good pleasant surprise. Saraceno's not only has a buffet, but a great lunch (sandwich menu). I ordered the Buffet, and my bud's ordered from the sandwich menu, getting the pulled pork sandwich. Firstlt the buffet was actually good. Fried Chicken very good, Collards very good, smoked chicken very good, Fried Fish very good, Okra eeeehhhh had better! not bad four for five. The pulled pork sandwich was immense it could feed a family of four! They reported it was very good. So kudos Chief Press for your recommendation of this restaurant, I guess your more cosmopolitain then you look! How I have missed this place on my jaunts for eats in Baldwin County? I have probably overlooked it because I am a buffet snob and steer clear of piles of fried unknowns. Not at all the case here! Every now and again I get a hankering for the kinds of foods we used to have Sundays after church. That always meant lots of choices of everything, and every dish was made with pride - so of the recipes being held secret for the joy of being the best at (fill in the blank). Saraceno's is almost just like that! First, everyone is very nice and in a good mood. Then comes the buffet. Everything was church-picnic good and there were more choices than any starving person can sample. The vegetables were perfectly cooked and seasoned and provided a great balance with all of the the not-so-good-for-you things I piled on. I had the broccoli & squash, turnip greens, cream corn , mashed potatoes & gravy, fried boneless pork chops, and cornbread.
