A hidden spot in Fairhope. Excellent food and great people behind the counter. Highly recommend!

Was driving through the area and was soooo lucky to see this spot on Yelp! My husband and I just moved to the South from Honolulu last year and we have been missing Hawaiian food like crazy. Look no further! Aloha Made BBQ is a family owned, Veteran owned and as legit as it gets! Niu and his wife Raquel are so nice, welcoming and full of the aloha spirit. Had to get the two meat plate with chicken and kalbi, 2 scoop rice, 1 scoop Mac salad. Also ordered the loco moco. Everything was delicious! The food is so ono. It really tasted like being back on the island. Niu was also kind to give us a sample of the kalua pork - tender and juicy and had that sweet smoky flavor, just perfect! Located on the left side of the VFW building, I cannot recommend this place more. We will definitely come back up this way for the food and the friendly vibes. read more

It's located on the left or eastside of the VFW. Definitely a hidden gem, a literal hole in the wall. It was my first time going but didn't exactly know where to go so I called and they didn't answer but they immediately called back and were nice enough to give directions. The people that work there are very nice. I ordered the fried rice which in my opinion is hands down the best I've ever had, it was full of flavor and was sticy. The chicken is out of this world. So juicy with a good char. Spare ribs are packed full of flavor, the fat literally melts in your mouth. Mac salad was good. I love spam, and the musubi was amazing. The seaweed taste fresh, the rice is sticky and sweet, the spam is well spam so you can't go wrong! I will definitely be back and hope this business sticks around! read more

This was definitely a taste of the aloha land. Everything we had was amazing. Husband had the short rib and garlic shrimp, my daughter and I each had a bowl of the chicken and garlic shrimp. Yum Yum, this food truck was worth the hype! Huge portions and delicious flavor. We tried the chicken, pork, beef, and short ribs. All were very good. The star of the show for me was the fried rice- O-M-G so so good The truck is located in the Fairhope VFW parking lot with ample parking. Not really anywhere to sit and eat other than a small table, so more of a take and go. Will be back for sure! read more

This place is a gem that brings the spirit and flavors of Hawaii right here to Alabama. All the food is great, but my first taste of the Kalua pork transported me straight back to the islands. The food here is Hawaiian! Fantastic. This little place is actually on the back of the VFW. There are a couple pool tables too. Everything we ate was mouthwatering. The owner was quite generous and gave us all samples of other things on the menu. If you are in the area, stop by and experience Aloha! read more

We absolutely love Aloha BBQ. I am straight up addicted to the macaroni salad, I don't know what it is but I am obsessed. I have tried to remake it and I cannot get it just right. The beef and chicken are fire as well as the conecuh fried rice!! We like to use the leftovers for breakfast and add a fried egg on top. Crab salad is also great. read more

This is a family owned & operated restaurant. They were some of the NICEST people that I've ever met. Their attention to detail & customer service were OUTSTANDING! I'm originally from the west coast where there is a L & L Hawaiian BBQ chain & frankly, ALOHA MADE BBQ is SUPERIOR in TASTE, PORTION SIZE, QUALITY & CUSTOMER SERVICE. Aloha Made BBQ was in our neighborhood earlier this week and after hearing so many good things about them, we knew we had to check it out even though we already had dinner cooking in the oven. We were definitely not sorry we did! The beef plate was outstanding and the pork plate had a great smokey flavor to it. And Niu was kind enough to let us try some of the chicken too and of course, it was top notch as well. The only thing we enjoyed more than their food was meeting and chatting with Niu and his son.
