Absolutely diabolical. The spring rolls had no filling inside, were bland and nothing but dough. The crunchy roll tasted like the shrimp and Krab inside had been sitting out for days. So fishy tasting and smelly I had to spit it out. The shaggy dog was the same. We had 2 pieces of it and threw it away. We called the restaurant for a refund and the owner started yelling at me telling me how I was wrong and called me names and refused a refund. He told me not to order from them anymore and never to come back. Epically horrid food, horrible service, horrible ownership, horrible experience all the way around. If I could grant negative 5 stars I would. *Update for the next day* I found ourselves in gastrointestinal agony. Upon a visitation to the lavatory, the upcoming substance tasted like nothing but rotten fish. I think my suspicions were correct that the ingredients use were slightly less than fresh. Absolutely horrible. Rock solid 0. read more

12.18.24 I took my daughter out for lunch and she picked Sapporo. I have never been here before so it was a treat to try something new. They have a nice lunch menu. (Sorry forgot to take a photo) ‍ We both ordered a lunch bento box. It comes with: soup or salad, 4pc.California roll, 2 spring rolls & steamed rice. We ordered ours with chicken katsu, a salad & fried rice. The service was good and the food came out quickly. The salad has some kind of ginger dressing and it was very good. I would order it again. The California rolls were not like I am use to; it had some kind of cream filling. They were ok. The chicken katsu was very tasty, not greasy and the crust was cooked perfect. My daughter and I were not a fan of the spring rolls. The outside of the roll was good but the inside...not so much. What a shame we love spring rolls. I would not order those again. The inside was clean & quiet and they were not busy at 11:45am. My daughter said it is never busy when she goes by herself for lunch. All in all, it was good not great. I gave 4 stars - it really should be 3.5. read more

Closed down. Out of business sign on the door. Sad but not surprising cause it was always empty.

Service was impossible. We couldn't communicate. Given a single paper napkin with my meal. Tried to get an explanation on some of the meal items but couldn't break through the language. When a meal comes, some of the items were bland. I ordered sushi and some pieces tasted semi-frozen. It was like we really weren't there to the staff. read more

I absolutely love this place. Amazing service, always decorated for the holidays and the food is to die for. I come here with my parents all the time and their lunch menu is perfectly priced, would recommend to EVERYONE. Please come here they aren't that busy!! read more

I LOVE THIS PLACE. Everything we have had here is amazing. Hibachi shrimp, chicken, and calamari are great. The spicy garlic edamame feels like it came straight from heaven it is so good. The waitress I have had both times is amazing as well. She is so kind, helpful, and I love her. Always coming back here! read more

We ordered the teriyaki steak and teriyaki chicken. Steak was about 1/4" thick. Cooked well done even though ordered medium. Tough as leather. For both chicken and steak. All they did was cook the meats and drizzle teriyaki sauce on them. Not true teriyaki meals. Fake teriyaki steak and chicken. I saved the steak so when the sole of my shoe wears down I have a replacement. read more

We have ate here every once in a while for years. Went back there tonight, And as far as our experience goes it has gone way downhill. The server was quite rude the entire time, added drinks to our check that we never bought (asked To remove). Ordered noodles to go and it's all onions and misc. vegetables, barely any noodles, plus at Least one piece of plastic in my food. Wouldn't recommend this place to anyone. read more

First time here. Previous comments about the sewage smell when walking in, yes it's there; only at front door. I didn't smell it as we were eating. We ordered: Pink Lady Roll, Fahrenheit Roll and Spicy Tuna Roll. All were good but the pink soy paper on the Pink Lady Roll made the pieces look like brains. It's was weird, but tasty! Service was ok. We ordered two drinks (one beer, one wine) and would have ordered more but the server brought our check. She never asked if we wanted another round and we did! Paid the bill and left with only one round. I think this place has potential for another visit for us but service needs to be a little more attentive. The vibe is good, modern-casual and music is nice, not too loud and enjoyable for the atmosphere. Perhaps some serving enhancement like: ask for another drink round, come back and ask about ordering more rolls, check on the table where you just put tab down (our credit card would still be waiting if we didn't flag them down). read more

This is my second time giving this place a try, won't go again. Food is soooo bland. I hate mushrooms, this dish did not state it had mushrooms on the website so I had to pick them all off. Waste of $14. read more

Summary- Worst Sushi I have had in a long time. Food- 1 Star Everything was squishy. Sushi should have many textures and flavors, not one mushy flavor. It also should be made in a tidy way, not tossed together like a drunk person making themselves a microwave burrito at 2am. The fish didn't taste unsafe, just not very fresh. Value- 2 Stars Not good and not cheap read more

Food was great. The waiter was very nice and very attentive. The atmosphere is great very vibrant. The only thing was that we were the only ones there and it took about 15-20 minutes for food to come. Filling: 7/10 Taste: 8/10 Atmosphere: 8/10 read more

Better service than the first time I went. I like the feel of the restaurant, and the lighting is calming. The food was good, I had the Chicken Katsu bento and the sushi that it came with was really good. The katsu itself was good paired with the sauce it came with and the rice was nice. read more

I try not to write negative reviews, but the quality of this restaurant seems to have gone downhill in the last year. And we have visited this place numerous times. The hostess had no warmth in her greeting, as if she didn't want to be there. The place smelled as if the sewage was backed up. And the food quality wasn't as good as it used to be, where it was a bit bland. All of which is too bad, since it has a nice ambiance and in a good location. We might come back to see if things improve. But in the meantime we will be looking elsewhere for our Japanese cravings. read more

I love the atmosphere here. The sushi is always fresh and never that nasty fishy taste. Salmon sushimi is great! All the rolls are delicious and not bad price. Tommy was excellent server. He knows his stuff which is a must. Go ask for Tommy read more

Ambiance is nice. Food was bland with no flavor. This place will go out of buisness as soon as more options open up in the area.

Food took a while to be made, waiter was nice though and I sat at the end of the bar the guy making my sushi was really cool, would recommend this place for people looking for a cool experience and good short talk with the guy making the food. He spoke both english and spanish and made me laugh. I will be coming back, crab rolls and sashimi is insane. read more

This spot has been open for about 5 months. It's the first time I've heard of this place, so mama and I had to try it out. We looooooooved it. Perfect location for us being that benihana is a stretch away and that's where I usually go. The service was great. The ambience is nice and chill. We were the only two people at the actual grill so that was good to have the table to ourselves. We ordered fried spring rolls and some yummy dipping sauce for an appetizer, comes with a total of five and I ate three sorry mama. We both ordered the shrimp hibachi entree. The entree comes with onion soup, salad, shrimp appetizer, steamed rice, veggies, and the shrimp. The veggies included mushrooms, grilled onions, carrots, broccoli, and zucchini. All grilled to perfection. The only thing that wasn't amazing was the rice because it was cooked a little too hard, it was still good though. Our chef was very talkative, and engaged. He was very comical and he even shared some of his life story with us, as we did too. Good talk about family and life in general! It was definitely worth it to spend money and eat out tonight. We will definitely be returning. Oh and I believe their happy hour ends at 6:30pm on weekdays which includes both food and drink specials. Didn't remember to snap a photo of the menu. :/ Our waitress was great, she kept the water refilled which I love. The owner was there as well and was very polite. Pictures attached of the food, you're welcome. read more

It was our first time in here. IMMEDIATELY walking in it smelt like sewage slapped me in the face. I should have walked out then but I wanted to give it a chance so I went to sit furthest from the restrooms. Ordered sushi and a bento box which was decent but I still couldn't get over the smell. I couldn't even eat my miso soup because the thought of sewage kept running my mind. read more

I always come in and get the Sapporo Chicken salad or the combination rice. The salad is always fresh. I've never went to a restaurant who's had fresher produce. I'm a regular. They're friendly, they greet... no complains... highly recommend. read more

The Tako Yaki, Cajun Roll, and Hot Mama Roll were ok. The Chicken Udon Soup and the Nabeyaki Soup were tasteless, the beef in the soup was tasteless and tough. The gyudon was made by someone who has never seen an actual Japanese beef bowl. The beef was cut into thick beef tips and the sauce was just beef gravy from a jar. Nothing remotely Japanese, more like Walmart. The soup broth was not made from any miso or shoyu. Wait staff did not do good communication. Would not come back. read more

Second time walking in and it smells like a portapotty, we couldn't even stay sitting inside. Had to go. I don't know what's going on, if they're not properly cleaning or if they don't clean the drains. No clue. We tried to give it another shot but no luck. read more

Terrible customer service. Placed a to-go order. Repeated myself at least 4 times as whatever conversation was going on must have been priority. Served maybe a 1 teaspoon of wasabi for 4 orders of sushi rolls. 5 small shrimp for a combo rice - total of $50. Yeah never again. read more

This place is horrible - at least as far as their Hibachi is concerned. First of all, they don't cook in front of you, which is the main draw of Hibachi. Our first reaction was to leave, but we were hungry & decided to give it a try anyway. We should have left. The food was awful. My wife & I both got the chicken, which was tasteless and dry. The rice was inedible due to the tub of salt they put in it. The veggies weren't much better & were obviously cooked from frozen and mushy. Got the steak dish for the kiddo, which was tough as shoe leather. The service wasn't much better. Our waitress was not attentive & had to be flagged down for refills & the check. She also didn't flinch at our plates having 80% of the food left on them & didn't want to-go boxes. In all, you should look elsewhere for Hibachi. Maybe the sushi is good, but I won't be back to try it. read more

Every time we have been here we have liked what we eat as well as the service. Our food was served pretty quick. My son's chicken fingers was done at the moment (not frozen food) and was good, 4 large pieces plus fries. My husband loved the Tonkotsu ramen. I had the hot mama roll, which was a little fishy for me but still good. We also ordered a fried rice and was also good. We think this is one of the best Japanese restaurants around. read more

Went to this place for hibachi with modest expectations based on experience with other locations. We were a party of 13 plus a baby. The front of the restaurant is respectable and well kept. However, the back area for hibachi seating is an embarrassment to this restaurant. They seated us at the very last hibachi facing a wall of open cabinets where they keep their supplies like straws, napkins, extra serving trays, etc. It was messy and very unappealing to look at during dinner. There were empty boxes stacked in the corner. The grill table had cracks in the formica and the area around the grill was rusted and discolored from the grill heat. We had to wait forever for a chef. They forgot soda orders for 2 of our guests. The salad dressing had no flavor. All but two of us ordered fried rice, which they charge extra for. What we got white rice with some soy sauce on top and fried egg. Most of us got the chef's special which is chicken, beef n shrimp. That was ok. Overall, is took us 2 hours and we left disappointed. We won't be back. read more

Came here Saturday @ 6:35, not busy. No longer offers hibachi. Okay, we sat both ordered Bento box, and a side spicy tuna roll. The spice I believe was cayenne pepper (weird for Japanese steakhouse) tuna roll came , salad & soup. 10 minutes later my bento box came (ok). After another 10 minutes we finally got mgr attention. He said "other bento food coming" mine was getting cold, after a few more minutes, I asked to pay for tuna roll and drinks. Canceled rest & left. Horrible service. read more

Went here for dinner, got a pick up order . Restaurant was very nice and clean looking , staff was extremely friendly, and I thought the prices were very reasonable. Unfortunately the food was another story. When we got home the boxes and leaked all in the bag so everything was soaked with food juice . The chicken for my Katsu was very chewy, unseasoned, and the batter wasn't stuck to the chicken. The "curry" sauce that came with it , I really have no words for, just a brown flavorless goo. We also ordered a filet mignon hibachi meal, the filet was over cooked when requested medium rare (no pink was visible at all) , was unseasoned, and no garlic butter on it like the menu said. The fried rice was actually pretty tasty. To be this disappointed in 2 different items that I feel are kind of Japanese staples for these types of restaurants really let me down. I'm hoping they were just having an off night , but wanted to share my thoughts with everyone. read more

I just moved to Bridgeland and this is my favorite place to have sushi so far. I have been here a couple of time but they had never disappointed me. Either you're dinning or take-out the foods seemed like being take care really carefully. And this is some of my favorite dishes that you should try!!! Appetizers: Spicy Garlic Edamame, Seven Spice Calamari, Pepper Ahi Tuna(raw, tuna covered with pepper), Sunomo Salad, Beef Sashimi. Sashimi: Fatty Tuna or Toro and Sweet Shrimp. Sushi: Unagi, Ikura, Escolar Special Sushi Rolls: Ghost Rider Rolls(cooked), Volcano Rolls(cooked), Texan Rolls(raw), Sapporo Mango(this is the first restaurant I have seen corporate with mango in their sushi and it brought sushi to the next level!!, shrimp tempura inside with something else that I could not remembered, top with real mango and mango sauce) Rolls: Spider Roll, Salmon Skin, Friday Entrees: Steak Yaki Udon, Ton Katsu Hibachi: you don't need to seat in hibachi in order to order this dish, File Mignon with fried rice is my favorite one. It comes with soup and salad and 2 piece of shrimps. I haven't tried the others one but this is my favorite so far. Drinks: Mai Taiii. Desserts: I have only tried Mochi Ice Cream and Coconut Flan but it's really good tbh. Comments/ Tips Atmosphere: perfect place to bring your friends or even by yourself, the servers really know how to communicate with you especially the guy by the bar. The kids will have a lot of fun when they are sitting at a hibachi area. Menu: Clear, easy to understand. The highlight is happy hours menu, a lott of good stuffs are in there. Especially the drinks, some of the wine bottles are only half of the price and also for the sushi! Servers: Fast, clean empty dishes, filling your drink on time, good explanation. Tips: order the Combo, which has really good deals. From what I remembered is 2 or 3 special rolls with not even $25. Check on their menu because they have a lot of options to choose Will definitely comeback! read more

Hibachi area isn't open right now, but restaurant is open for dine in and takeout. We dined there and had some edamame, rolls, and hibachi steak. All were good and fresh tasting. Steak was cooked a little more than I'd like. May do medium rare next time, instead of medium. Good atmosphere and service. Will be back again read more

The restaurant is so nice inside. So when I saw the restaurant was empty on a Friday night at 6pm, I new I was in trouble. The service was not good. The food was worse.
