Cute restaurant that's on the smaller side. The Pkhlovana (spinach and cheese khachapuri) was super good! It was like a pizza but with tastier bread. The Beef Khinkali was pretty standard - no complaints. The Eggplant Rolls were mediocre imho as I've had better ones. Not much of a texture and definitely overpriced. The Chakapuli (lamb stew) was pretty disappointing... very watery, and the lamb was rather gamey.

Chvishtari (cheesey cornbread) with dipping sauces and Pkhali (fresh herb/nut/vegetable paste). A MUST HAVE.

Incredibly delicious!! This was my first time trying Georgian food, and it absolutely did not disappoint. There truly is something for everyone here. A great place to try out something new and feel like you traveled to a different country! Our table loved the spicy ribs and the khinkali (soup dumplings). The servers were incredibly friendly and helpful when it came to deciding what to order. Most of the staff and cooks are Georgian, which makes the experience feel genuinely authentic. I was introduced to pkhali (an assortment of vegetable, walnut, and herb spreads) paired with chvishtari (cheesy cornbread), and it was a standout. The menu is also very vegan and vegetarian-friendly, which I appreciated. And the khachapuri... I will be thinking about it for the rest of my life. There is truly nothing better than freshly baked bread filled with melted cheese!! Cocktails were fantastic and boozy. The espresso martini may be the best one I have ever had. I didn't think it could get any better or that I could possibly eat any more BUT when the desert came out, I could not resist. You MUST TRY the honey cake and nepolian cake (if you like almond croissant, you'll LOVE the nepolian). I took it home and had the rest for breakfast the next day. I will definitely be back! This might be my favorite restaurant in the Upper West Side.

I liked this place so much I went twice in one week. Georgian food is the perfect antidote to cold weather...and the food, service and atmosphere at this place makes it a home run for cold winter nights! This place offers the standards you can find at other Georgian restaurants (khinkhali/soup dumplings, kachapuri/cheese boats, assorted spreads) as well as some stews and bread options you won't find...and they're all done so well! And the service is top notch...they'll walk you through the menu and the wine selection to find the perfect selection for your table. I cannot suggest the assorted appetizer board highly enough..the array of spreads are amazing and the cornbread that comes with it is reminiscent of arepas. Craving blintzes? Get them here! Love that this place is now on the UWS!

The food was good, but not great, while the service was warm, energetic, and responsive, and the ambiance was very pleasing to the eye.

"Things to Consider":…read more 1. Food - fine if you want to pay hotel prices for food that you can get at a New Jersey or Long Island mall at much lower prices. Paper plates, plastic cutlery and pita chips warmed and served in the bags they came in. 2. Service - non-existent. No staff members acknowledge your arrival. You either have to wave madly or go to the bar and ask for a drink. The staff is always closing early with the staff excuse that "we are not busy" yet guests are routinely turned away. The staff is not happy and begrudge being there. DO NOT believe in the hours posted on the website. There is a built-in clientele but the staff can't wait to close it down. I don't know what is wrong with management but they have lost the plot. 3. Ambience - The space could be so much better than it is. The lighting is okay but the seating in the bar area is not appropriate. The adjoining cafe has a better feeling. Ambience has a lot to do with making guests feel welcome - this staff doesn't understand the meaning of hospitality but they should not be blamed. It is clear they have no training and are not held to any standard. If you want to go to a great space, go to the Wallace Hotel around the corner (I am NOT affiliated with them... have just gone there many times). It is so sad to see a place with such potential be so poorly run, especially as they have such little competition. The Arthouse Bar has the potential to be THE leading cocktail/music/late-night bar on the Upper West Side.

I mean it's drenched in butter... it's obviously going to be delish. the fries were perfectly crisp on the outside and layered in salt. weird to have to ask for mayo but they did bring it out. - the, albeit pretty, veggie sides I felt were unnecessary and borderline cold so unclear on how much they really added the meal - the Tarte Tatin à la mode was a win around the table. the apple melted in your mouth. the Poire belle Hélène was good but paled in comparison
