Took our granddaughters to dinner with us this evening and both food and service were great! My wife had the NY Strip steak and it was perfectly cooked and she said was delicious. I had the 1lb. of grilled shrimp on nicely seasoned rice with loaded baked potato and green beans. All were wonderful. One granddaughter had the sirloin steak, mashed potatoes, and cinnamon apples and loved all. The other had the giant fried cheese sticks and loved them too! We'll be back! This place seems like the perfect place for a Trump supporter. Part of a dining experience is the environment. The environment at Santa Fe is definitely not one I enjoy. The place had a very dirty feel to it which makes sense due to the peanuts you can throw on the floor. What I don't understand, is why they can't sweep it up every once in awhile so it doesn't look like the place is trashed. The walls are full of taxidermy and offensive sexist word art. The food was mediocre. The green beans had a good flavor but were very mushy. The loaded baked potato wasn't very fresh. The steak was well seasoned and the rolls were good. The service was bad and the food was lousy. We were seated in the bar and it took ten minutes before our server came to the table, after walking by our table twice to wait on another customer that came in after us. Eventually another server brought the bread but no plates. We ordered the Blackened sirloin salad. Apparently the fry cook (now working as a chef) realized at the last minute that the steak was supposed to be blackened, so what does he do after it was already cooked......rubs uncooked blackened seasoning all over the steaks. Problem solved. It SUCKED!!. In observing the wait staff everyone was running around as if they did not have a clue as to what they were supposed to be doing. I came here while travelling. I liked the atmosphere and thought I would have dinner. This is your basic chain steakhouse, like Logan's or Texas Roadhouse. It was actually kind of funny that this is deep in Oklahoma and many of the menu items have "Texas" in the name. I have the Ribeye and it was grilled well and trimmed nicely. Very tasty. I also had a ceasar salad and broccoli. The salad was ok, nothing special, just so romaine lettuce, Parmesan cheese and dressing. The broccoli too was alright, but had been boiled and when it was served the bottom of the dish had a lot of water in it so made the broccoli a little mushy. My server, Charles, was very attentive and I always had a drink (big, big deal since I go through sodas quickly). If I wanted a steak and had to choose between other chains and Santa Fe, I would likely give them another try. read more

I came here for the steak sandwich and was pleased. So pleased I forgot to take a photo. So we ordered brownie for dessert. And guess what? I ate that without taking a picture, too. It was awesome. Very chocolate, soft, and yummy chocolate sauce on top. Vanilla ice cream topped it off. A+ The steak was plentiful and seasoned with a bit of heat for extra kick. The roll was fresh and chewy. Super disappointing experience here today. Overcooked steaks, sides left off of orders, dirty plates were not cleared before or when the main course arrived, and I saved the best for last... apparently the air conditioning unit was being fixed during our meal and the whole place suddenly reeked of toxic fumes. The place smelled of spray paint or some sort of toxic fumes in a matter of minutes. The manager and staff were kind and apologized but there was no offer to compensate at all. This was probably my worst restaurant experience ive ever had. We arrived around 9, almost an hour before close and every staff member acted like they were already closed. The host hardly acknowledged us so we opted to sit at the bar and it took him almost 10 mintues to notice us. Ons he did he handed me the menus instead of handing us each of them. Then my girlfriend ordered a drink and I ordered a water. He gave and charged us for two drinks. Wow. Then he disappeared and a female bartender showed up and never even looked our direction for 15 mins. We have been here twice, and we have enjoyed it both times. My only gripe this time was that the food was overcooked. We got the cowboy platter with the steak Chicken & Ribs on it period it comes on a large fajita skillet and that was a bit too hot. We immediately took the food off and started stirring things until it cooled off and then put it back on. By then, the damage was done it was pretty dried out & charred. They were good how about replacing the steak. It was much better the second time. I only mention this and hopes that they will read the review and make some changes to their process. My sister and I went here for dinner. We ordered the queso and it came out cold, not even room temperature, but cold. My sister ordered a steak, medium-rare. It came out extremely rare. We asked if they could toss it back on for a little longer, the server saw, agreed and apologized. He was friendly and polite, which is the only reason this place gets two stars instead of one. The manager brought out my sister's steak, she cut into it and it was exactly the same as when we had sent it back. We told the manager it was still rare and asked for it to be cooked longer. Very rudely, the manager said "oh so you want it medium?" And I said "no, medium-rare, but this is still very rare". I finished my food and then finally my sister's steak came out. So the pictures I've posted are from the final delivery after ordering a medium-rare steak and sending it back twice to be cooked longer, only to have the outside and ends over cooked. This is our favorite place to eat! Fried pickles are the bomb-diggity. This time our steaks were over cooked, and we didn't want to make a fuss, but my Wifey just wanted to let our waitress know, so whoever was on the grill could watch it a little. Didn't want them redone or anything. But, they went ahead and got us new steaks anyway! And new potatoes! We also got to keep the overdone ones to take home. I like everything about this place except that they couldn't do steak if it slapped them between the eyes. I ordered a TBone and asked for medium and what came out was rare. Not medium, not medium rare. Rare. I was kind and asked it they would cook it a little longer so he was chipper and said of course. I asked the girl who had them to place them to keep warm somewhere until we were ready for them. She looked miffed, but she did it for us. After devouring our wonderfully tasty salads, we asked for our dinners and some more rolls. Roy ordered his steak Med-Well; it was Med with a very pink center. I ordered mine Med-Rare; mine arrived so rare the center was uncooked (bleu). We just got a take home box and will recook them tomorrow for lunch. Hubby loved his mashed potatoes and cream gravy. Waited over an hour for our food. (Sorry, this is really long.) We arrived approximately 5:15 pm and we were seated immediately and the waitress took our drink orders and then took our food order when she brought our drinks and apologized for not bringing rolls and said the oven showed they would be done in 4 minutes. About 5 minutes later she brought our salads and the rolls. It took 10-15 minutes for us to finish our salads and while we were waiting for our food we saw other customers come in, get their food, eat and leave. After 30 minutes had passed since we ordered, we asked the waitress if we would be getting our food soon. She said she would check on it. (Shouldn't she have done that long before we had to ask?) When she came back she said, "You ordered a steak, right? The steak was frozen, so they had to thaw it first. It should be ready in 7 minutes." (Really? Frozen?) Of course all the customers who came after us apparently didn't have frozen steaks! We got our food 15 minutes later, over an hour after we ordered it. We talked to the manager and she said our meal would be free. When we told her about the steak being frozen she said, "I've never heard anything about frozen steaks." I realize ALL restaurants are understaffed, so if the waitress screwed up and admitted to it I would have understood. I probably should give a higher rating since the manager made it right, but this definitely was not a pleasant experience. read more

I have lived here since 2003 & never tried this place. Today I went for lunch today and wasnt impressed. Sat at the bar, no waiting. Smells good & is clean. Staff is efficient & friendly. I had a half rack of ribs with a loaded baked potatoe & mixed veggies. Ribs were not excellent but were good. The baked potatoe was almost cold & didnt even melt the butter let alone cheese. Also the mixed veggies were cold. So all in all it was unremarkable for those 2 things. I dont complain or ask for freebies so im just letting you know. It wasnt busy so really no excuse. Its a management issue in the kitchen & hopefully they will look at their process. I may try them again some day but...not likely anytime soon. JM read more

My husband, Kenny and I ate here last night on a groupon. It was reasonably easy to find. The restaurant is much like other chain steakhouses. The manager came to greet us and told us all about the restaurant and what they offer. We were sold on the steaks immediately. Our waiter was very attentive and went out of his way to ensure we had a wonderful experience. We were given salad, chips and salsa, as well as rolls to start. We both enjoyed the rolls and they came with two kinds of butters; regular and honey butter. Then, our steaks arrived. Kenny had ordered the 9 oz steak with a baked potato, while I ordered the 6 oz with fries and green beans. The steaks were outstanding! They were perfectly cooked and expertly seasoned. The fries were delicious as well. Kenny had to eat my green beans since I noticed they had onions in them and I cannot eat onions. The waiter, upon noticing they had onions, offered me something else, but I said it was fine. We were too full for dessert honestly. The bill was very reasonable with the groupon at $13.00. We made sure to give a good tip since the waitstaff was amazing! I would highly recommend Santa Fe Cattle Company. We are already planning to come back. read more

This place is easy to get in and out of. The food is medicore, not great, not terrible. Bring a jacket because it is always cold. If you do take out check your rolls before you go, got them home and hard as rocks you can beat them together and make noise. Although, not much better when you eat in - if rolls are even available. The music isn't blasting like a lot of places so you can carry on a conversation. The food is much better at Texas Roadhouse but this place will do in a pinch. read more

The food is pretty consistent and always good. Hot rolls are fresh and you have a large variety on the menu for those picky eaters. The rolls are soft and warm and absolutely perfect with their cinnamon butter! Asked for their 12oz sirloin (medium rare) and it was short on flavor and came too well done.
