Good burgers and onion rings are good. Prices can get a little out of hand for the joint. Service seemed pretty good. It definitely is a small hole in the wall but has a lot of Rich history.

This place was exactly what I wanted it to be. Unfussy, old school dive, chaotic decor, friendly staff, attentive service. I met some girlfriends for rounds of beers and some food on a Friday around 7. No issues getting a seat. Beers came in heavy glass which I always appreciate. The jalapeno poppers were very good. I also got a chili cheese dog and some fries. The chili cheese dog was not a sexy menu item, but was exactly what I ordered. The dog was big and the bun was toasted. Will absolutely come back.

    Cali burger + tater tots

How this place has existed for ~90 yrs and had never shown up on my radar despite growing up nearby is beyond me... Absolutely classic dive bar - trivia days, movie watching nights, excellent burgers and tater tots, and Minnesota nice bar/wait staff - as far as dive bars go, this is a 5/5

My wife and I were out on our Saturday new restaurant jaunt and we were denied lunch at three places, so I have always wanted to try Sandy's. We entered and it is a very old school dive in deep Richfield Minnesota. Our server was nice and I ordered a Size 7 IPA and my wife got a Diet Pepsi. No Diet Coke, Boo. Solid IPA from St. Louis Park. I don't drink hard liquor, but I only saw beer and wine here and none at the bar, so not sure. I ordered the Richfield cheesesteak. It wasn't cut in half, weird, but the meat was piled on high and lots of caramelized onions and green peppers and the bun was perfect. Really juicy meat and moist veggies. The ambience is very 1960 Richfield. I would probably usually give it a 3, but since there is no 3 1/2, for what it is, I will give it a 4.

Another northern Gem! The Northern Hot Dog was a unique menu item that I had to try. Wild rice ON a hot dog!? Absolutely loved every bite and can't wait to try and make it at home. The bun was perfect to keep all the tastiness locked in!

New draft beers! Nord east and Zombie!

A definite place for beer and burgers! Great staff and it's no longer cash only. You can pay via an app when you're at the restaurant. Casual and relaxing, a good place to have a beer and bar food with friends or just on your own at the bar!

Second time here. I live in Bloomington and this is one of the few places open later for food. Service has always been attentive and correct. It's a dive bar with good food. Some of the best jalapeño poppers I ever had - full of cream cheese! Waitress is always very friendly.

    Horrible.

Great burgers, cold beer. Nice neighborhood dive bar, just what is missing from so many of the burbs.

On awkward waiting wondering if this is one of those places where you can just seat yourself. The place is clean and the ambiance has some very nice touches to bring intrigue. The subtle candle-like light fixture was corky and added to the charm. Prices are very reasonable! I had a good idea what I wanted prior to stopping in. Food came out quickly. Less than 10 mins. Lupia was hot and delicious. My first time having one so wilk not compare it to an egg roll. The braised beef rib was tender and juicy. I pulled out the knife but only a fork is necessary. I do wish the meat was a tad saltier but just a personal preference there. Service was pleasant, attentive, and quick. The gentleman who greeted me also thanked me on my way out. It was rather pleasant experience overall and am planning on coming back to try more of the menu!

It's a restaurant, perhaps reflecting its neighborhood, where people have an occasional beer, but George and the Dragon isn't a drinking hole. That changes the ambiance. The patrons looked well-off, but in that way in which they try hard not to look like they have money. Most of them wore clothes that made them look as if they had just come off the tennis court, or their bike, or after running a five-mile for a great cause. My wife and I still try to look nice when we go out. We don't dress down. Most of the people at George & the Dragon were in their fifties or sixties, including the servers, who were very earnest, if you know what I mean. I'm in my seventies, grew up in NYC, and still try to look hip, and I drink vodka quite often. Maybe that's why I felt uncomfortable. That decade and a half makes a huge difference in how we grew up, and what I experienced in the sixties and seventies. The food was okay, not great. The burger and chicken schnitzel tasted fair to middling. The room was also very loud, filled with exclamations from the tables of "women who lunch," feeling more comfortable with no men at their tables. That's also a demographic and Minneapolis thing. I doubt I'll return to George and The Dragon. I like bars.

It does have British pub type food as advertised along with some other things. It does get busy and can be a bit loud but they have enough space that the tables are at least not on top of each other so that really helps with the noise level. I had the split peas because you just kind of have to have a true British thing at a place called Brit's pub and the cheese toasty. The toasty was really the winner here - to be somewhat expected, but wow, nice and crispy and cheesy! On our second visit I had the fish and chips which brought back memories of being in the UK. You can't go wrong with a visit here.

Food's decent (better menu than just bar food- some pasta and tex mex)- not that any staff could answer any of yours questions about the food or menu, but it's decent (regular/high prices for the atmosphere) not vfw/legion friendly in any capacity. We had dinner here. I had multiple drinks/shots. My sober cab had a coke. An 8oz, with ice, disposable plastic cup of coke. And apparently thats $2.75 each. We frequent these types of venues. We've seen on occasion policies where it's no/one refill on pop before- and we've always been informed of it when asking for a refill... Not here. ALSO most bartenders have used their discretion and understand we are spending money here. Not just "occupying a chair". Some people come watch the band, play bingo, sing karaoke etc. and want to buy nothing. I promise you I understand. But shots, drinks, food, this is asinine. And I was going up to the bar to get everything. NO TABLE SERVICE (again, somewhat to be expected- but not then get charged for 12 cents worth of pop).
