I went to Sandy's Nails for a walk-in pedicure -- one of those "on a whim" self-care moments. I didn't plan ahead at all, but I was seated right away, which surprised me because they were pretty busy. The tech who did my toes did a great job, and I was really happy with how they turned out. The work itself was solid, and I'd definitely want to book with her again. The only thing I didn't really care for was how loudly some things were communicated. When services were being recommended, it felt like it was announced pretty loudly, and when I paid, another employee called out my tip across the room to the tech. I wasn't embarrassed, but I do prefer a little more privacy when it comes to personal or financial details. Overall, I did appreciate the quality of the service, and I plan to give them another try -- especially with the same technician. If the volume thing happens again, I may just politely mention that I prefer things to be communicated more quietly. Other than that, good work and a positive experience overall. read more

I walked in on a Thursday morning hoping they'd be able to get me right in for a pedi, and they were. Massage chair was as expected, prices are reasonable ($35 for a classic pedi), and the scrub and leg massage felt great. Never have I ever experienced a nail salon removing acrylic nails the way this one did. Instead of soaking them off, they cut and forcefully lifted the acrylic nails, even after I mentioned multiple times that it hurt and they could clearly see me pulling away. I specifically asked for a soak-off, but that request was ignored. I've been here a few times before, but this visit was extremely disappointing. I will not be returning. read more

My cousin and I came in and both left with awful quality nails. I asked for white dip (with tips). I left with very thick, lumpy, uneven nails which have globs of the glue/dip stuck underneath them. I asked her to fix them and she didn't. I told her that the color wasn't what I asked for, she said that she chose to use a different color because she thought it was better. The dip doesn't even cover the whole nail. They were fully aware that they weren't what I asked for and still charged me full price. They gave me attitude while they did it too. Sandy is amazing! She took her time in giving me the best dip manicure I've had in months. She is super friendly and made sure I was satisfied at the end of my visit. The shop is clean, her and her staff were very kind to me as a first timer there. Not a good experience. First of all, I was told that manicure with regular polish was $10, but when I got there the man at the front desk said it was $15. Second, I had to keep asking the nail tech to file my nails correctly bc she'd spend less than 2 seconds in each nail. Third, while cleaning around my nails, I also had to point out that she missed some spots. Also, after painting my nails I had (again) to tell her to clean my nails better because there was still nail polish all over my fingers. This place is horrid. My daughter and I went to go get a full set of nails. The cost was 60 bucks for two sets. They tagged teamed us with multiple people working on our nails. They did not file our nails before putting on the tips. They were extremely rude through the whole appointment, as much as talking in a foreign language to each other and laughing. My daughters nails broke within 4 days and mine within 6 days. I have had my nails done many times before at other places and have never had nails break so fast or had such awful service in my life! Horrible. my nails are chunky, uneven and pointing all over the place. They never once washed my hands after applying the set and just painted over the grit. The oval shape I asked for is almost non existent. I paid the 100.00 dollars for her work and a 20 dollar tip. Then I got to my car and really looked at them. I would never go back nor refer anyone to Sandy's nails. Oh and a massage... when? I got maybe 2 minutes for my pedicure and then she rubbed some lotion on my hands and forearms with all the nail grit still in place. I do not recommend this place at all!!! First of all, I asked for a full set of all white acrylics. The lady then sat me down in the chair and gave me French tip acrylic. It wouldn't have been a huge deal but I had homecoming he next day and I would've really appreciated it if my nails matched my dress and corsage. The lady was way too rough with my nails and filed them too much and they hurt so freaking bad. They STILL hurt. I told the lady that she didn't do what I asked her to. And she said "don't worry, french tip only 2 dollar more" UGHHH I decided not make a big deal about it. At least my nails aren't an ugly shade of some random color. It could be worse. But then the lady expected a huge tip after making me pay a little bit more for something I didn't even want (a full set is $28, A full set of acrylic is $30) I know it was only two dollars, but it was still extremely frustrating. Under the tips of my nails there is a bunch of glue UGH, and jut today I noticed there is chipping around the edges of the acrylic at the base of my nails, you can kinda see it in the picture. This place was awful! I would not recommend at all. 1st the lady they called "Ma" hurt me multiple times filling off my sns polish. I audibly said ouch! and they didnt even ask if I was ok. First time I went there was a great experience. This last time was another story. I went in for a pedicure and from the time I sat down until she started painting my toes was less than 15 minutes. I had no sooner set my feet in the water and she pulled them out to start cutting my bails. Zero soak time. The hot towel was left on a total of 15 seconds. Went in for a simple polish, and not 24 hours later the polish was already chipping off my nails. For $15 it is a complete rip-off. Moreover, the service was terrible, rudely pointing us off in different directions, and getting angry when we could not understand what they were saying. It is fine that they have an accent, but with the face mask as well, it makes it difficult to understand every direction. The one good thing that I can say is that the hand massage was nice. So, when moved to Nebraska, I highly doubted that I would be able to find a place that could top what I had back home. I wont finish the ENTIRE tub of glittered powder.....STRIKE TWO So the other lady starts working on my nails and knicks me...not once, BUT THREE FREAKIN TIMES! the first two I jerk my hand away, but by the third she had the NERVE to say "Its HOT huh?"
