Athena joined the salon a year ago doing structured nails. Thought I would give her a try. I've been trying to strengthen my nails. Athena does amazing work. She takes her time and does such a great time to do quality work. Love that fact she enjoys what she does and is military. Anyone looking to strengthen their nails I recommend Athena. Faye does an amazing job on hair. I see her everytime I go into the salon. She always greets me when I come in. I see first hand almost all of her hair cuts and styles. They all look fabulous. Base on what I've seen, I decided on getting my hair done with her. Wanted something new and spontaneous. She let me know her thoughts in hair color and went through the process on what she needed to do to achieve the look I want. Decided to do a redish highlight balayage look. I was only avaliable after work to get it done, Faye was very accommodating and met with me after work hours to do my hair. Turned out amazing. Go see her!!

So I decided to start waxing again and to finally make my overdue return. Unfortunately, the tech doing my waxing from several years ago is no longer working here so I made my appt. with Patricia, who was available in the time slot I needed. She was very polite. But she would do large chunks of waxing at a time, which was the most painful experience I've ever had. EVER. And even when I had asked her to apply pressure with her hand after a large batch (to help reduce the pain), she did it for the first few and then stopped. I know she was trying to be efficient and while I appreciate that, it was a horrendous experience. Not only that, but when she was done, I still had leftover wax on my legs!!! See atttached photos. It was all over and I had to peel off my leggings when I got home because they were stuck to me. Ironic because I was just telling her about the worst waxing experience I've ever had (from another salon) where there was leftover wax on me. After peeling my leggings off, I noticed two things: patches of skin where she had literally broken SEVERAL blood vessels (2-3 patches of this - see photo) and patches of hair that she missed entirely. So I didn't even get a good waxing after all that pain! I can't begin to voice my disappointment in this establishment. But when I have to shave my legs the day after an incredibly painful waxing, I know I won't be back. There are too many other salons in Omaha that offer waxing who do the whole job efficiently, thoroughly and with minimal pain to their clients.

Scheduled on line with Take Five and they squeezed me in right away. Deep tissue and stretching work was superb. Been back multiple times and seen 2 of the therapists who were both helpful in getting things loosened up and pressure off the nerve. If you are looking for a deep tissue massage and for therapists who know what they are doing and listen to where you hurt at, go to Take Five. Really good at helping to alleviate the pain. One Note - don't come to your appointment too early, there are no seats inside the waiting area.

We had a conversation about what I do, repetitive motions I preform, if I wake up with neck pain and from there she found all of the areas to focus on that I would never have thought of. She knew which leg I rested on the most, (causing lower back pain), which arm I overused and which side of my neck had the most resistance. At the end, she showed me stretches to help with all of the issues in my body. I highly recommend her and will definitely be going back.

So, today when I finally decided to do something about my shaggy, funky bed head, I checked to see if they had any same-day appointments. They did! I'm not really all that picky about haircuts or barbers. As long as the place is nice, the stylist is cool, and the haircut looks presentable without costing a fortune, I'm pretty pleased. This place and particularly my stylist (Kara) knocked it out of the park! Great, easy to find location. Parked directly outside the door (no searching for spots or paying meters). Everyone was so friendly and kind. Kara listened to me tell her about how I like my hair and then tackled the bird nest on my head. It didn't take long before she had me looking like a normal human again. We talked the whole time and the experience was great. Also, a very nice price! I was looking around Yelp for the popular men's barbers around town and they wanted double the price. Y'all can keep all those overpriced hipster places with super long wait times. I'm going to keep going down to Bellevue and John Edwards Salon. You should give them a shot.

Offering everything associated with relaxation and pampering services, you will not find a better salon in the Omaha-metro area. This is a promise. If you're looking to get your hair done - cut and/or color - see my stylist, Kristin Nakai. I have been seeing Kristin since 2006. While she wasn't ready to color my hair until October of 1010 (my hair is a very dark black, and I'm Asian...my hair can be..."difficult".), I can honestly say that what she's done for my hair is amazing! Never having the same hair cut twice, Kristin follows two rules: 1) Have fun, and 2) Don't make me look any chubbier than I already do... In each of my encounters at John Edwards Salon, I can honestly say that I have only had the best service. I have never experienced an environment such as the one created at JES. In fact, the owner will come up to my stylist on a regular basis and ask for input. Where else do you see an environment where associates are encouraged to seek one another out for assistance? It happens all the time at JES. In fact, it makes me feel proud that it happens when I'm there. If you love your stylist, great, awesome. I can guarantee that you haven't had an experience like one that can be offered by the stylists at JES. This place is trying to be a spa but only gives medical office vibes. I'm not one to complain about…read morefree service but this was the weirdest facial I've ever had and honestly not even worth your time. First of all, the person that was doing my facial that I scheduled with texted me morning of to confirm (after I already did the day before thru their text system) and when I got there they told me I was with someone else and when I asked about it I was told well, Charissa is the manager and was doing b2b marketing. That in and of itself tells me they're just a business and don't care about actual skincare or clients, just getting more money. In the room, I've never gotten a facial before where I didn't get into a robe and the girl stayed in there while I got on the bed. Again, never in my life have had that. She didn't once explain the product she was using or why (just the tool that she was using) or examine my skin prior to working on it. Huh? Shouldn't you want to use product and ingredients based on my skin and not just what I think I may need? In the middle of the facial she used what seemed like a paper towel to wet my skin and it dripped in my ear the whole time which was annoying and not super professional. The skincare products were incredibly drying to my skin and smelled DISGUSTING. I was just excited for it to be over and it was clear this was just about their tools. Then on the way out they tried to tell me I owed them $50 and we went back and forth while they tried to tell me the date I was in there and with whom. After I finally said I've never in my life been here but will pay you your $50 they decided to verify my phone number and name and said "oh sorry I clicked the wrong name". Listen we all make mistakes but this place is unprofessional and clearly here for profit not because they care about skin health. Their cheaper prices represent the quality.
