I was really nervous to try a new salon. I'm very specific with my hair. I normally go to Salon Aura, but they are booked through May, and I really needed a hair cut. My hair is extremely long, curly and thick. To the point where I am getting headaches. I called Texture Salon and they were able to get me in same day. Danielle was my stylist. She was lovely and welcoming, and was able to give me the cut I wanted in 1/4 of the time it usually takes my normal salon. She did a wonderful job, and I feel so much better losing all the hair. The only reason I am giving this salon 2 stars is because of the service. Man, I was really hoping that I could find an awesome hair stylist by my house so I don't have to drive 30 min to see Jeremy, but not from here. I had an appointment at 4:15 but since I was a few minutes early, I knew I had to wait a little while. Well, I kept on waiting and waiting... I didn't know who my hair dresser was actually going to be since I've never met her before, so I didn't really know who to talk to about my wait. By the time I Ieft, it was 4:30 already! I went up to the counter and told the receptionist I was leaving and then she told me the hair dresser was right there! Well, I did see this said hair dresser take someone back at 4:15 which is why I thought I was supposed to have someone else! It wouldn't have been so bad I think if someone had said something to me or the receptionist didn't confirm my 4:15 time. On a positive note, this salon is really clean and I have gotten my eyebrows waxed here before and that was a good experience. read more

Heather is hands down fantastic! We are a military family and know the struggles of finding a new stylist with each new PCS. She is extremely knowledgeable, professional and can do it all. She styled our daughter's hair for her wedding with extensions, the has done balayage on mine and another daughter's hair, tape in extensions, finished and styled hidden crowns and also does our other daughter's hair as well as a men's style on our son. I have been seeing Cassie at this salon for 3 years now and I am always happy with my cut and color. I find Cassie very easy to talk to and schedule appointments with. I am always greeted when I walk in and asked if I would like a beverage. I went a couple of weeks ago and got my nails done with Hattie and she was great too! This review is for my first and only visit to this salon so far. The best thing about this salon is the operating hours extend until 8pm on weeknights! When I found this out, I was thrilled! I work long days and dreamed of having my hair done after a hard day of work. Anyways, I made an appointment with Marie at 530 on a Thursday night. I got there at 5:20 and she was still with her previous client, which is normal. However, next time I checked my clock it was 5:50 and she was still with the same client. At around 6:05 I was greeted and got back to the chair. She asked me what I would like and she gave me her professional opinion on what I desired, which I ended up really happy with to this day. She walked me back to the sinks to rinse my hair and prep it for color. While I was drying she went and mixed up the color. Once she was done, she came and got me to sit me down in her chair to apply the color. I found that she was very hard to talk to, not asking many questions but only answering one worded responses to my questions to her. After applying it, she made me sit in a different chair and pulled up another client from the waiting room. The way her station is set up, you can see people who walk in and who are in the waiting room. I remember seeing the girl Marie pulled up to the chair, and was only in the waiting room for a good 5 minutes before she was pulled back. This irked me a bit since I was stuck waiting 30 minutes to get back to the chair. While I was processing, I thought client 2 was just getting a hair cut by the way her consultation conversation was going. However, Marie came back out with a tray with color and brushes on it. This irked me even more, and she took her sweet time with it. She must have seen the disappointment on my face, since she called my name all of a sudden to go back to the washing station. Once there, she got a lot of water in my ears and scrubbed my head really hard to where it seemed like she was rushing it. She put my hair in a towel and then made me sit in the same chair I was just in so she could finish client 2. After about 30 minutes later, client 2 and I change spots. She then gives me a trim and layers (which are wonderful) and still doesn't say a word. While cutting, she asked if she could style my hair curly and I say yes (with the understanding of an iron.) Once she was done cutting, she put crinkle cream in my hair and clamped it up with a clip and put me under the dryer. While I was dying of the overheated dryer basking on my neck, she continues on client 2 while having a lively back and fourth conversation. Once I was done drying, she switched us again and dry cut the rest of my hair and I was done. The time? 8:40. I did one all over color, and a trim. That's it. No eyebrow wax, no color treatment, no drastic colors. Just one all over color and style/trim. She charged me $110 for the whole thing and I was a little offended given the time she made me wait and juggled me and client 2. Once I got home, I checked my hair out in my bathroom and it looked like a rats nest. After she took it out of the clips, she didn't brush it. There were so many knots in it, it took me at least 20 minutes to brush them out. It felt like she just rushed me out for client 2. I love my hair color and cut, but I feel like just a paycheck to her and not a person or a client. I feel I can get this service elsewhere cheaper and feel respected. She's good at what she does, but she's not good at treating her clients right. I won't be back to Marie, but I wouldn't mind trying other stylists at Texture. It's a wonderful, beautiful, and welcoming salon with a very nice receptionist. read more

Had a great consultation with Mary for my unruly, post-partum hair. We went with a brazilian blowout and it turned out great. It's a time-consuming treatment, so I was able to see the interactions with other customers--all of the ladies in the shop were polite and professional. The place is very clean, good vibe, comfortable, and again, fantastic results. My hair went from being super wavy/curly/crinkly to straight with almost no wave. Earlier this week was my 1st time there...I walked in @ 1800, was promptly greeted, I asked what wait time was, given true/accurate time (a very rare thing most places), the place was very busy - yet smiles everywhere and calm, cool atmosphere - professional. I was VERY fortunate to be worked due to a appointment 'no show' - even luckier my stylist was Mary (the owner) - we agreed on a style based on my initial idea - then she totally exceeded any expectations I could have ever had - such attention to detail - and her genuine/sincere personality shined as we had the type of conversation I typically only have with close friends and family. I actually mentioned it truly felt like a VIP level of service - her scissor, blade, and clipper skills: par excellence!!! BEST haircut I've EVER had (I'm 44yrs old...) -- my hair can't grow fast enough since I'm really looking forward to going back. I tried this salon after having a bad experience with a hair stylist at another local salon in Bellevue. Up until that point, I had loved where I was going and couldn't imagine trying anywhere else. I made an appointment with Cassie and from then on I never went to anyone else! If you are trying this salon for the first time, Cassie is definitely my recommendation. She was so flexible with me and always worked really well with me to fit in with my busy schedule. She did cuts, lots of color, updos for events I needed to attend, and also did the haircuts for my boys: ages 3-4 and age 1 at the time. She was so patient with them and always treated us like we were her favorite clients. The first time we had done color since my last salon, there was a chemical reaction from the mixing of my old color chemicals and the new ones and the final result was not what we expected. She felt horrible (even though it was not her fault!) and fixed it the very next morning, coming in earlier than her shift just to fit me in ASAP and did it all for free. She really loves her job and it shows. I always left the salon feeling like a rock star. We had to move to the east coast this year so we had to leave Cassie behind :( and still haven't found a stylist over here that measures up to her. As for the salon itself, they were flexible and professional and it was always a clean, comfortable and relaxing experience for myself and my children. read more
