worse experience ever! The male owner harassed me about wanting my artificial powdered nails removed, because they only lasted 1 1/2 weeks and were very thick. I told him several times that I didn't have them done at his salon and I didn't name the salon I got them at. It didn't matter he said it was my fault I must of picked at them and they are only supposed to last 1 1/2 weeks. He continued to rant about how they are all trained professionals and the nails are thick because I got a light color. I'm not a confrontational person at all so it was very strange. He was very angry and I still don't know why! Never going back! I'm giving 1 star because the lady did a good job removing my nails. read more

I was worried they'd hurry thru because just as I was walking in 2 ladies came in for pedicures and while I was getting mine another gal came in for a full (this was about 1 hour before close) but they didn't rush through- I even got into a great conversation with them once everyone else left and ended up sitting there 45 min just chatting with them! So all I needed done was getting my nails taken off. That's it. I couldn't afford to get them done nor did I want too, but they seemed pissed I didn't want a manicure or pedicure. UPDATE 8/30. Ilynn nails insurance contacted me and they deny any wrong doing. Not willing to take any responsibility for the infection she got after getting her nails done at this salon. The owners stance is that we can not prove that she got the infection at the salon. The guy who did her nails torn up her cuticles. Look at the picture. We would have been happy with a refund. The owner seemed like he wanted to make it right, but it was all a ploy to get rid of us. Never do business with this salon. My daughter went to ILynn's a few times and never had any issues. Back in June, she went there and had acrylics put on. That night her fingers had blisters on the tips and cuticles were all torn up. She went 2 days later and had them removed and got schllac. 2 days later I had to take her to urgent care since she was in such pain. Doctor diagnosed her with paronychia( a soft tissue infection around a fingernail that begins as cellulitis ). We went to the salon to talk to the manager. He seemed concerned and asked for all the documentation from doctor visit. He told us he has insurance and that he wants to make it right. Almost 3 months have passed and no resolution. The rep at his insurance company takes days to respond to email asking for update. Last week the update was that she was waiting for the Salon Owner to provide documentation. I called the Salon Owner Kevin to see if he had provided the information to his insurance company. He was very rude to me on the phone. He said he provided the information to the insurance and he follows the states rules. He told me to work with the insurance company not not bother him. I asked if he could contact his insurance company to help get this resolved. He told me I would have to deal with the insurance myself. Very poor customer service. I would not recommend. If I could give 0 star I would. read more

I got a sweet old lady and she was nice and gentle but idk it didn't really feel like she cleaned my nails. I really wanted to walk out mid way so I wouldn't have to pay but I felt bad. Then her daughter pointed my nails and didn't really care too much. I get they are busy but I feel like if I'm paying I would expect better service. I wouldn't recommend this place. Very disappointed... I went a couple of months after they opened. I have 30 yrs of wearing of nails, not continually. Now, I drive from Capehart Rd. & 25th to 78th & Cass. I wanted a place closer. Their nails were too thick, I repeatedly asked please make them thinner. I was burned ( electronic sander) 3 times. I over heard they have employees working both places, the eatery next door. The owner has both businesses. I got the impression the person doing my nails would be a better cook! She was constantly supervised by a man, somewhat older. He give her instructions. (I wasn't convinced she was trained and a legal tech). He continued to reassure me she would "do a good job" didn't happen. read more

I've had pedicures here a couple of times and I'm not impressed. For me, a pedicure is an occasional treat. I don't want to have to deal with other people's children and I expect to be treated like a valued customer instead of an inconvenience. Because this place was new, I gave them a couple of chances. The lady and her husband were SO incredibly rude, and their kids were running all over everywhere and were so loud. The lady cut my cuticles twice and burned me with the rotary nail file when she was smoothing my nails. She said she needed to replace 3 of my tips, so she just jabbed a sharp tool between the acrylic tip and my real nail and literally just ripped them off! I have NEVER said OUCH before while getting my nails done until this time, and kept pulling my hands back and saying "OUCH! That hurts!" and it was like she didn't even care! And then to top it off she put nail glue UNDER my nails, which is stuck to my fingers! WTH!?!? My fingers still hurt and it has been 5 days. I was not impressed with this place at all. When I got there I had to wait for at least 30 to get my nails done even though they said they could do them. After the finally did my nails, the man filed my thumb and made it bleed while leaving a gash in my thumb. He did not say sorry at all and was very rude. They seemed to be in a rush and I left with nails that needed another coat and I was charged $35. Im unsure if I was charged for a fill or a full new set. I should've thought to ask before leaving. I want to start off by saying that this place does a good job in manicures and pedicures BUT if you want acrylics don't go here EVER! My sister recommended this place she has been going here for a while and I thought I'd try it out. My experience: I just came for a fill and to replace one of my nails, walking in it's a quiet/clean salon and they get to you pretty fast. They removed my polish and the chipped nail the he put a tip on it and just cut it didn't even look at my other hand then the women comes by to put the acrylic on and didn't even cut the nail before. Now it feels like it's going to fall off if I put any weight on it My cousins experience: I went in for a removal of my old set which was fine. Clean process. The man that did it was nice and attentive. The woman then came to put my new acrylics on. The first thing I noticed going wrong was how fast and hurried she put the acrylic powder on my nail. She also put the powder on before cutting my nails into coffin shape. I thought it was odd because I've never seen anyone do it that way. But I gave her the benefit of the doubt. After looking at the lumpy mess my nails were I decided I'll clean them up myself or go to another salon to get them fixed. Every shape and size of all my finger nails are different. Some skinnier some thicker, some longer than others. Also my nails feel as if they'll fall off with any pressure even just scratching my face. Very upset and disappointed at my experience. read more
