The 4-star rating is because my nails look good. Tammy did a nice job on my pedicure, but there were some concerns: The nail nipper she used came out of an already opened package. I didn't think much of it, until I saw her wipe it off and place it on top of the packaging when I was finished. Gave me the impression she was going to place it back in and forego the sanitization process. Can't confirm nor deny, so I'll see how another visit might go if I'm in the area. Filed the sides of my nails even after I asked to not clip them to avoid ingrown nails. And she filed them like I got acrylic instead of shellac, not sure why. I had to ask for a beverage, which I got when my service was almost finished. Asked for a price list, and was told they were on order as she pointed at the front counter. I'm already in the chair... Good thing is, the reason why kept asking is because I got great perks for a basic pedi: Hot stone massage Exfoliating scrub Hot towel at the end Basic/classic pedicure is $35, shellac is a $15 up charge.
First time coming to this nail salon. They were friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I got a fill and a deluxe pedicure. I am satisfied with the color, the way they painted my nails, and the length. The only thing I would recommend is giving a better massage when during the pedicure.
The lady who did my nails today cut underneath my nail, a deep paper cut looking cut. Super painful. I'm disappointed. Won't be going back.
Won't be back! $140 later and I actually have to get them redone. I came in with beautiful long coffin nails and that's all I wanted, instead they cut them way shorter. Couldn't do the design I asked for and my nails are square instead of coffin! Also the lady was rushing and she cut me! I've never had anyone get so close to my skin that I got cut. I gave them a two star because my niece nails turned out pretty but I don't like places that are a hit or miss.
I went in and got my nails done which I hardly ever do. I went to this place because my first time was a great experience they painted my natural nails and I told them not to cut them or shape them but this time I wanted acrylics. My nails look good from afar but I noticed it hurt when she was framing my nails. She would say to me "you okay" and I nodded yes because sometimes it hurts because it's something I am not use to.. when she finished I noticed 3 of my fingers stinging and started to bleed which fine whatever I just want to leave at this point. But the second I left and started to actually move my hand like normal they are started to just bleed so much! My hands are in so much pain. I will be calling them first thing tomorrow but at this point there is nothing they can really do the damage is already done.
Very please with my Gel Manicure by Youn or Joun (not sure on spelling). I do wish they had more OPI colors.
I have went to contempo some time and through that time i have noticed how rushed the workers are to refill acrylic sets. I got a full a week ago and 3 of them have already broken and the paint is chipped. I could tell when they were doing my nails that she did not put enough powder for them to be strong enough to last. They still charged me almost the same amount for a full set. When i called and complained they said they do not do refunds to anyone. This is unacceptable my nails should not be breaking and chipping within 5 days of getting them done.
I LOVE MY NAILS. First of all they were all very kind and helpful the second we walked through the door. We got helped right away at the time we scheduled our appointment. Ne was my technician, and she was very gentle and kind. She complimented my color and shape choice which made me very happy. It was done quick, maybe 30 mins. They look amazing and I will definitely go back next time. I enjoyed my experience much more than other nail salons in omaha. It was reasonably priced. Overall very happy with my experience, and I urge anyone to go there!

They took such good care of me. I had little to no wait time. And they did exactly what I wanted with my nails. This will definitely be my go to place from now on.
Not very happy with my experience. Walked in the door and told the gentleman that I just needed a polish change - I was honestly just killing time before my doctors apt! Asked the gentleman how much the polish change would be for my hands and toes and he said 8. So to clarify I said 8$ for both or 8$ for each! And he held up both hands and said both. So I said both and pointed at my toes too - he nodded. COOL I'm thinking that's a great price for 10 minutes of work, right? I picked my polish and he told me to sit at 6 so I walked down to six and he got upset with me bc he was sitting at 2 and I wasn't at 2 I was at 6! So he get annoyed and moved all his stuff umh ok dude ... you definitely said 6 but ok!! Took off my polish left some of my orange polish in the corners but no big he seems to have a plan!! Puts on the clean on my hands and polish of my choice then goes back with a brush to clean up the edges. Didn't really check his work for him bc I think it's rude when people check my work. I decided last minute to get my eyebrows done and so the lady took me to the back and she got started right away. I took a second to look at my nails and YIKES!! The acetone dried up my cuticles as expected and he just painted on over them and left the polish stuck in the corners. bummed. The eyebrow lady told me everything that was wrong with my eyebrows and how they're thin on one side and out of control... umhhh yea thats why I'm here getting them done THANKS!! Then I told them NEVER MIND on my toes bc I'm afraid they're going to turn out like my hands... so the lady gets annoyed (there weren't very busy so I totally understand that she was expecting that money but I'm not chancing it). I go to pay and she says 18$ and I asked her why. Explained that the gentleman said 8$ for BOTH and I didn't get my toes done after all. She TOLD me that he said 8$ for "BOTH HANDS" seriously? In what would would I only want one hand polished...? So I paid 8$ for TWO HANDS of polish stuck on dried out acetone skin and 10$ to get yelled at that my eyebrows needed to be contained. that solidifies I will NOT be coming back regardless of the time I'm looking to kill. Thank you.
(Disclosure: I'm definitely what you would call a nail salon snob ) I'm SO impressed! I told them I only had an hour but would like a shellac manicure & pedicure if possible & they made it happen in less than 45 minutes WITHOUT rushing/sacrificing any of the pampering. Ben did my mani while I was getting my pedi done, was extremely nice, and payed super close attention to detail! I got the basic pedicure (by CeCe) and still received an awesome massage, exfoliation, hot stones, & towels. I will 100% be back & refer my friends and family!!

I love Contempo! My daughters and I have become regulars here. I have always had such a great experience and they are great with my kids. They are quick, they do a great job with shaping and painting and as long as you ask for someone who can do specific designs, they can always do the designs I ask for. I also love the aromatherapy pedicure! They just recently underwent some updates and new staffing and I am really happy to see they've been receptive. The store looks great and it's a really nice vibe! read more

These are the nails I asked for and when we got to picking the colors i picked the yellow and my nail person told me to pick the orange, i told him again and again that it was not orange and it looked pink and i wanted pink in a respectful manner and and he then got angry and raised his voice telling me it was orange and it would come out looking pink. I told him I trusted him and let him do his job assuming that he would know more than me. My final look on the nails were not anything close to pink and didn't even look like this picture at all. read more

First time coming to this nail salon. They were friendly and made sure I was comfortable. I got a fill and a deluxe pedicure. I am satisfied with the color, the way they painted my nails, and the length. The only thing I would recommend is giving a better massage when during the pedicure. read more

Won't be back! $140 later and I actually have to get them redone. I came in with beautiful long coffin nails and that's all I wanted, instead they cut them way shorter. Couldn't do the design I asked for and my nails are square instead of coffin! Also the lady was rushing and she cut me! I've never had anyone get so close to my skin that I got cut. Previously, I was a regular at one of Contempo's nearby competitors. When the competitor lost their original nail techs and hired new nail techs that didn't know what they were doing, I decided to give Contempo a try. I'm very happy with my decision and have been going to Contempo ever since then. The owner is very sweet and friendly. All of the nail techs do a great job, never had any issues! If you're wanting a quick mani/pedi, let them know and they can have one person do your mani and another do your pedi to cut your time in half. If you're not in a hurry and want to relax, they will definitely accommodate that also. This nail salon is very clean and does not have that over-powering smell of acetone. My favorite thing is they have A MILLION color choices for gel/shellac. They do a great job here with your nails, I get compliments on my manicure all the time. My shellac manicure lasts 3 weeks and I work in an area where I have to wash my hands constantly. The prices are a few dollars more than the salon I used to go to, but I'm willing to pay the extra money for the better service and selection here. I wouldn't go anywhere else now! read more

The woman I had was awful. She cut every single one of my cuticles/skin right before I was going on vacation. They were visibly bleeding and I told her she cut all of my fingers and she very sarcastically apologized. It was the most painful torture I've experienced! For the first 3 days I suffered in pain while on my vacation and then ended up with scabs which looked awful. Then one of my dipped nails popped off after only 1 week. I will not go here again and strongly suggest you look elsewhere. read more

Enough is enough. I've been going to Contempo for over a year. However, this is the THIRD time in a row my dip powder nails have turned out horribly. I pointed out how rough and dull they looked, and the "nail artist" said, "Oh, it's supposed to have texture." WHAT!? When I pointed out the fact that the swatch had no texture, she just stared at me. No offer to fix them. Nothing. Don't waste your time and money. They sure as H*ll don't value it. read more

The shellac application was sloppy. Thick, uneven and horrible at the cuticle line. My actual cuticles were so sore for days after due to being trimmed too close. This was my first time at this salon and I won't be back. read more

I've bounced around to just about every nail salon in Omaha, and Contempo Nail Spa is my favorite! I highly recommend this place; it's very clean and has a huge polish/color selection. Van does an amazing job on my nails, they're perfect! Check this salon out for your next manicure!! read more

This salon has such mixed reviews, but a friend referred me & her nails always look great so I checked it out. I received the worst dip manicure by Tammy, who apparently everyone thinks is wonderful. Their dip is $40 for just that - the dip. I didn't receive a cuticle trim, massage, or anything. I had to ask the poor gal doing my pedicure to clean up Tammy's mess on my nails (pic). Elsa was sweet and did a decent pedicure, but their prices are so steep for the lack of service you receive. I will not be returning. read more
