I tried City Nails for the first time and it was a cute little place! They had a bunch of tvs and some nice music in the background. I went in for a dip manicure and they had 3 giant books with lots of choices! The nail tech was nice enough to help me pick between a few colors since I could not decide! Sadly the dip was not picking up and my nails ended up looking super grainy. She was nice enough to offer a coat of shellac to cover up the odd coloring, but it was extremely painful. My nail buds were left raw and some bloody as they removed the top coat to fix the issue. I'm really sad this was my first experience because I've heard great things and I hope this was just a one time occurrence! Tina is very good at basic nails, or exotic! She stays current with new colors and trends but is someone who gets to know her clients' preferences. Although my visit didn't end up how I intended, I was SO impressed with Tina, I will definitely be back. Due to some shoddy work at Mohegan Nails, when Tina started my fill, she discovered that almost every one of my nails had a nail fungus on it from the last fill either not being done on totally dry nails or with dirty materials. I was devastated and disgusted, but I was also so impressed by Tina and her kindness. She took off all the nails and was able to clean and file them enough that almost all of the discoloration is gone. She cleaned up my nail beds and told me a treatment plan to help get rid of the rest of the discoloration. She was SO concerned about ensuring that she wasn't hurting me as she was working, which is something I've never experienced. Even though I walked out with bare nails instead of the fill I walked in thinking I was getting, I can certainly say I will be back and will recommend Tina to anyone!! read more

Checked out Tina's Studio for an acrylic fill. At first I was a little confused because of the sign that said City Nails, it was indeed Tina's studio you just wouldn't know until you walk in and see the sign on the wall. I ended up getting Miss Tina herself to do my nails. She did a fantastic job and helped me change the colors of my nails based on the picture that I wanted. She did an absolutely fantastic job and I was happy by the end result. I wish I could say there is something that stood out at Tina's Studio over other nail salons, but there really wasn't. I took a chance on Tina's Studio (the sign says City Nails) after reading the rave reviews, and I am so glad I did! I just haven't been happy with my past few shellac manicures. They were either fast and sloppy, chipped quickly, or spent more effort on the decor of the place vs. hiring quality nail techs. Tina's is not a fancy salon, but don't let the modest decor fool you. It's the real deal. My tech was Kenny Ly and he was amazing! Here is what I noticed... 1. He was very patient and helpful with finding a match for the color I wanted. 2. When he removed the old shellac polish he was extremely precise and gentle, making sure to be as easy on my nails as possible. 3. He was very careful to make sure he trimmed and filed the shape exactly the way I would like...checking after every couple of nails. 4. He has such a steady hand, and he took his time to be precise. 5. When I accidentally hit my hand on the dryer and ruined 2 of the nails, he was so kind and expertly fixed them without making me feel bad about creating more work for him. The owner, Tina, heard me say, "Oh no!" and immediately stopped what she was doing to check to make sure everything was ok. :) 6. Kenny was pretty quiet, but very friendly. I was OK with that! I went to Tina's for a full set... Wow! The attention to detail was amazing, and there was no grumbling when I asked for a nail to be touched up (which has happened to me at other salons). Tina herself did not do my nails, but did talk to me and ensure I was happy with my service. I love that she operates this salon herself. She and her staff not only care about you as a client but as an individual. She addresses any concern you may have. Ever since moving to work from home, I've been looking for a good salon near my house. On my third attempt, I stumbled on to Tina's (City Nails). I'd tried it many years ago, but they are definitely under new ownership and it shows. John did my nails, and he was amazing! I got dip done and love it, I had specific nails and designs I wanted and they look fabulous! I have had them on for a full week and they look amazing and have no lifting. Other salons my dip has not even lasted a week. I'm here again having the best pedicure I've ever had hot wax and long massage and my heels look brand new! I think every nail salon in Omaha if you ask for a pedicure they post a low price for the basic pedicure and then they just start adding things on without your consent and hand you a bill for it. The pedicure was OK I could've done a better job on the nails they slumped the polish on and even after I sat under a dryer for 25 minutes it was still wet when I left the salon. The best thing was the waxing done I guess by the owner am I going back for pedicure manicure no not when I book one thing and they decide that they're going to charge me more for something I didn't ask for and because they can't let the polish settle a little or dry a little bit before putting moron I will say the place was clean and everybody was friendly read more

I made an appointment online which was incredibly convenient. I got my nails done by Tina. I got a gel manicure for $27. She is the sweetest lady ever! She genuinely wants to get to know you and ask how your day is. She will tell you all about Nebraska which I appreciate since I just moved here. The salon is clean and quiet with the waterfall and the music playing. I love Tina's Studio. I have been going for several years and have never been disappointed. I schedule regular pedicures with Huong - she is awesome. The website makes it very easy to schedule appointments. I have never had to wait more than five minutes to get started with my appointment. The care and quality taken is unmatched. I love the deluxe pedicure that includes massage, lotions and hot rocks. I first came to this salon when it was under previous management after reading a YELP review. (Truthfully, what drew me is that it had the least dollar signs in the YELP reviews--I should have realized there was a reason for that!) Fortunately, Tina did my nails that day and I was highly impressed! I returned, always making an appointment and always asking for Tina. Those days under the old management were bleak and if not for Tina, I wouldn't have returned. Smart woman that she is, Tina bought the salon near the end of 2017 and immediately, transformations were made for the better! The salon is much cleaner, has new staff, personal touches have been added and a warmer atmosphere created. Tina has recently implemented a new website and online appointment service, which is smart since busy techs don't have time to answer the phone. Don't let the old name/old sign deter you. (Signs are really pricey for new business owners and Tina is putting her hard-earned expenses into satisfying customers.) read more

I have mixed feelings about the studio. I went my first time and warned Tina that I tend to be a bit knit picky for my nails - I have had nightmare before and been made bleed too many times in the past. So Tina listened pretty well and took all my tips on how I like my nails done. I warned that my cuticle side beds look deep but if you cut there, I will bleed and it's super sensitive. Sure enough, there were too spots cut too deep (I take this with a grain of salt since it's super common for me to deal with). Tina is definitely better at the shellac polish and painted them thin. My main issue was that my next appointment I made with Tina again, and she wasn't there. Another tech did my nails that didn't know me. He filed my nails and actually rubbed the front of my finger raw from filing and the sides were sore. He painted the polish too thick and it started chipping in a week. Sadly just inconsistent. I am picky. But I think those salons that can hold up to it are truly stellar. They're good here, so long as you're not a perfectionist like me. I just expect that when I make an appointment with Tina, I get Tina. Not someone else. read more

They do fantastic work with a great attention to detail. I'm only giving three stars because I scheduled a friend of mine and myself but when we arrived, all of the techs were busy working on walk-ins. We sat for half an hour after being told it would be 10 more minutes. I scheduled the appointments to be sure we'd make it to our event on time. Went there for a dip powder manicure and they used the top coat for shellac and put my hand under a UV light. I've had dip powder done numerous times and I'm pretty sure that's not how you do it. Two days later the top shine coat had come off. Waste of $35. read more
