I walked in for a pedicure and I just needed a quick service so I opted for the least expensive, and upon sitting down the tech showed me the menu, I pointed to the $35 option and she repeatedly pointed for $45 and said I HAD to get this, and I ended up saying please do the $35 and at this point a lot of people were staring and I felt really awkward. Later on, the hot towel treatment was too hot, and again everyone looked over. I felt the massage part was lacking, and their chairs weren't very comfortable. When she put on the scrub I feel like I got an old crusty glob, and it was very off putting. I left with a bad feeling, and not how you would imagine after receiving any treatments. I have been to many salons around the city and I'm pretty sure I've never been to the same one more than twice. THAT is about to change. I've finally found a place and a nail stylist I can depend on to do an awesome job, not hurt my cuticles or take 2 hours to give me a mediocre manicure. I would give this 0 stars if I could. Horrible customer service and unsanitary. My mail tech dropped her tool not once, but twice and didn't clean it. Unfortunately they couldn't understand what I was saying and when they messed up my nails completely- they would not make it right. The manager was rude and argumentative when I asked for a discount because I didn't have another hour to stay and get it fixed. It was embarrassing/Very unprofessional. My suggestion is go elsewhere- or definitely don't complain if they mess up or the manager will cause a loud scene. Never again! read more

This is a great nail spot if you're coming in for the run of the mill shellac polish or acrylic nails with shellac polish. Sa, who manages the place is awesome! She is the younger, standout tech who is always learning and trying to perfect her techniques. Her acrylic dip skills are PERFECTION!! Amy is the best at pedicures and is super sweet! Overall, my experiences have been good here. There was one instance where Cindy did an acrylic full set on me with shellac polish. She rushed through the process and was less than friendly. I returned a week later to have my nails redone by Kenny and the nails she did popped right off just like a set of press-ons. She would never get the opportunity to do my nails again. My only suggestion would be for them to do some work to increase their skills--they don't do sculpting of any kind. Amazing!!! My sister lives in Omaha and I was visiting her from NY. We went to True Nail Studio on a whim and it was soo good! We both got pedicures- they spent so much time (scrubs, cucumbers, message stones) Wow! And since we went in the morning we got "happy hour" price, meaning $10 off each pedicure. But the entire time we felt as though we were a bother and that the technicians were ina rush to get us out of the salon. The worst manicure experience I've ever had. I came here to have shellac removed and a basic manicure performed, and specifically requested no new polish or frills. Just remove the shellac and file them down. The employees were all young girls except for one older woman who didn't appear to speak English and didn't say a word to my mother the entire time we were there. The younger girls chatted with each other the entire time, having completely inappropriate conversations in front of customers, and also not paying attention to the customers whatsoever. The lady doing my nails even made a remark that I looked much older than I actually was. Classy! Nice touch! Once my shellac was off, my lady started filing my nails, then gave me the worst, most non-attentive "massage" I've ever had. She didn't even touch me long enough for the lotion to be rubbed into my skin. All of her attention was on another employee messing around in the pedicure chairs and goofing off. At the end, I went to pay and they tried to charge me for a regular manicure and I reminded her that's not what I asked for and I wasn't going to pay for it. I didn't even have my nails painted. Her attitude turned sour and she said, "Well didn't she give you a massage? That's a regular manicure." I told her I was hardly touched, then she told me she would charge me the $15 "this time only," as if she were doing me a huge favor. What's worse, upon closer inspection of my nails later, she didn't even file them evenly. I had to clean them up at home. I'll never come here again. read more

Although, we both had gel nail polish, which was gone a week after our service. Our acrylics were poor. They were very thick, unnatural, and unattractive. Will not be returning. read more

Let me start off this review by stating that I am a licensed Esthetician, so I know how to do a proper pedicure, and cleanliness and relaxation are highly important in my eyes. Which is why I rated this place 3 stars, basically saying, eh it's okay. We had appointments at 4 30 and had to wait about 15 minutes past our appointment time to get in, not a big deal at all. Once our pedicures started however, I had to tell the girl doing my moms nails that my water was literally on as hot as possible, seriously! Then she turned it on as cold as possible, so my water was freezing, by the end of it I settled on tepid water just so I didn't have to deal with it anymore. My mom got a classic pedicure, and I got their Signature Pedicure, her pedicure started about 10 minutes before mine. My pedicure ended up getting done about 5 minutes after my moms did, I felt really jipped. I was treating my mom that day, so I spent $100 including tip. The filing of my nails went well nothing crazy happened, I felt my cuticles could have been pushed back a little better, and the trimming of my cuticles started to hurt because the person doing my nails started trimming fresh skin so I pulled my foot back. I also noticed that the person doing my nails put the cuticle pusher and trimmer BACK IN THE BASKET after using them on my feet. So uncleanly! Those are the two biggest tools that collect bacteria and then for the rest of the pedicure I was wondering what else wasn't clean. The massage was where I was most disappointed. As I mentioned relaxation is most important to me, when I do a pedicure I spend a long time massaging my clients FEET because that is half the reason people get pedicures. My feet were never touched during any of the massage. My legs were very lightly rubbed as if to rub in the lotion, and it lasted about a minute or two, no exaggeration. Overall, don't pay extra for their Signature Pedicure because it isn't more relaxing or decedent than their Classic. Yes, they provide you with a file and nail buffer to take with you once you leave, however the other tools they use on you are not properly cleaned. The bottoms of my feet were never touched during the one or two minute massage. I felt like I wasted $100 because I didn't leave feeling refreshed and pampered, I left feeling like I had I sub-par pedicure. read more

Truelegance is definitely the place to go to get your nails done! They are spot on with nail designs and have the most creative nail techs I have ever had the privilege of knowing! I have been to plenty of nail salons and this is the creme de le creme of them all! I definitely recommend coming here to get your nails done! Plus the staff is nice and they just remodeled! Honestly if I could give this place no stars I would. I was so excited to go here because I heard nothing but great things but unfortunately I didn't have a good experience. I showed the lady the first picture below of what I wanted and she told me she couldn't get it exactly like that but could get close to it. From the minute I sat down with the lady that was doing my nails I heard nothing but complaining and sighing from her because I was "moving too much" when I was perfectly still. She gave me nothing but attitude and made me feel so uncomfortable that I couldn't wait for the acrylics to be done. When it came time for me to wash my hands she told me to wash and then dry them with a towel. When I came back to her station she got mad because I dried them with the towel. I was greated promptly and pleasantly but my experience went downhill from there. I was rushed to pick my nail color and felt like I was on a conveyor belt vs being a person. My cuticles were knicked even after I warned them I bleed easy. The technician, Tony, constantly grabbed my shin too hard, dug his nails into painful spots on my toes and did the worst paint job I've had: an 8year could do better. The good: I didn't have an appointment for a pedi but they got me in right away. They have a very large selection of polish. The massage chairs are awesome & didn't hurt my back like most places. The bad: they only have 3 pedicures to choose from. My nail tech only cut 8 of my toenails & only put a base coat on 9 toenails & didn't use a top coat at all. She didn't massage my feet at all & the leg massage was mediocre. Well let's just say it was a complete and utter disappointment. They took a while to seat us, even after making appointment. Once seated they started my friends pedicure first and said someone would be right with me. I had gone to a couple places before and they were quite rough with my nails, but then when I came to true nails I was pleasantly surprised. Everyone there is super nice. They were also more gentle with my nails and I left without a single cut. They're also very accommodating and will try their best to recreate a design that I show them. I gave them a four because a couple of my acrylics were slanted and not straight across and they were kind of rough on the edge. Terrible customer service for older people!! I have been going to TruElegance Nails for a couple of years now, but yesterday was my last time. I went yesterday to get a manicure & pedicure. When I arrived they had one customer and 2 employees were eating. A third employee come over to ask what I wanted. I pointed to my fingernails and toenails and told him I wanted them cut and the cuticles and dead skin on my heel removed, but no nail polish. He immediately grabbed a nail clipper, took my hand, and started clipping without even offering me a chance to sit down. I pointed to the chair and asked to sit down, but he ignored me. He quickly cut across each nail once, bent over and did the same with my toenails, still without offering me a seat. Indignant, I asked "I that it?" Then he grabbed a file, hurriedly ran it across each nail once and said "Ten Dollars." I was never offered a chance to sit down or a menu of services. It goes without saying that I will never return to TruElegance Nails. . .I have never been treated so poorly by any business in my entire life! read more

I went back two days later to have them fix the issue. They fix the problem but we're unpleasant during the entire interaction. The last time I came into this nail salon I was completely dissatisfied. Here's why... I made an appointment at 1pm, arrived 10 minutes early to check in and I STILL waited for 30+ minutes. Even as a few walk ins get welcomed and sat immediately. Luckily I didn't have anywhere to be that day so I let it slide. Then I finally get to my chair and explain to the lady that I would like my acrylic nails to be soaked off and a full set after. Not difficult right? Apparently it was. When I called for my appointment I said exactly what I wanted.. so they had to have known. Once she's reapplying my nails I let her know that I like my nails to be just a little thinner than normal.(the bulkyness looks unnatural to me) she huffs and says that if my nails break, I shouldn't come back to her. So my nails are done and looking nice... until I get home and see that they are all uneven, the color isn't covering my full nail, and I got charged 20 more than I should have! A++!!! I loved going here! I think I finally found my salon! I've been searching for a nail salon I really like for quite some time now, but I've never been completely satisfied. I called to make an appointment because I had heard they do not take walk ins because they are so busy. That was correct! They were packed! I had an appointment for 4 o'clock I arrived just after 4 because the parking lot was packed with the opening of Dublin donuts I assumed, so I had to park in the Walgreens parking lot! When I went inside the nail salon was FULL! Every chair, every station, including the dry station. They apologized multiple times for the wait when we hadn't even been there for 5 min. I had previously gotten shellac at another nail salon a week or so ago so I still had that on. They wrapped my nails in the foil while in the waiting area because they said there was not a chair available which I thought was awesome, they care enough about their customers, and it truly showed! Nancy the receptionist was wrapping my nails and she was so friendly! I didn't wait long and then there was a chair ready for me and they got to work right away on my nails because they had already been soaking in the foil. I had a lady named Vicky and I have never had better service! She was awesome! They all spoke really good English and she was even joking about that how they speak English at their salon! She was so fun to talk to, I'm usually lost and confused at nail salon because I can't understand anything they say and I just nod my head and smile, but I LOVED Vicky! She did an awesome job on my nails, and she was so sure I liked them because I told her I've gotten my nails done similar before but I wasn't in love with them and she kept saying be completely honest, and she was joking with me about me coming back and getting angry at her because I didn't like them. She was hilarious! My sister was with me and she didn't know my sisters name so she would call her sister when she addressed her until she finally asked her name!
