Overall great bang for buck. The bahn mi are huge and delicious. Bread is fresh and not too crunchy. Downsides are the service is very unorganized. The ladies behind the counters are yelling and handing out special call in orders. Also, they have a secret menu thats not displayed anywhere. My order was forgotten and the order was wrong when I eventually got it. Also, the atmosphere isn't very welcoming. Its loud, hot, Dirty tables and floors. Its just a good fast food take out type place. I'll still be back to try other things but definitely won't be eating it there.

This place is still my favorite Vietnamese Sandwich place!! Prices are still decent and I also love their Avocado slush!! So happy they keep their menu selection mainly the same for most. Service is decent here. This is a casual place and there is parking in the back.

Aluminum in food

This place is a disaster, from a half hour wait for a 1 sandwich, to watching the cashier lady handle cash and cards and then grab bread by her bare hand to bag for customer. I got the number 6 which was mostly just fat pieces of pork, so I opened it up to try to remove the fat pieces and I found a piece of aluminum ( sandwich was wrapped in paper).

Banh Tet cut and pan fried, very delicious!

This store has been a valley staple since forever! Prices are affordable and food is very tasty but don't expect clean and ideal place to dine in. It's best to get to-go. Bread is made in house in the morning so the earlier the better or else you'll get the classic issue of your sandwich tearing up your mouth. I love their dac biet #1 special sandwich, good amount of pate and stuffing. Service is quick, friendly, and efficient. If you speak Vietnamese they're incredibly excited to speak back in Vietnamese. Went here to get food for tet, their banh tet and banh Chung with dua mon is REALLY good here. Highly recommend it's the only place in the valley I know that offers them, and they're well priced for holiday seasonal food!

Amazing banh mi place!! The bread of the subs are always crunchy & feel fresh. The customer service is great & straight forward. It's a cool mom & pop shop, they have casual indoor seating for you to enjoy your sandwich inside or you can just order & go if you're in a rush. They also have different flavored slushy boba & great Vietnamese coffee!

Love love love! It was my 1st time and ill definitely will be going back for more. Great prices and large portions.

This is the very rude cashier, and the one who did our order. Beware of that woman!!

We tried this place because the VALLEY SANDWICH in Reseda Blvd (where I always order) was closed. We ordered #6, #9, and #12. The taste was just okay... nothing special. The liver pâté lacked flavor. And the service sucked! The woman at the register was so rude--while we were still deciding what to order, she shouted at us and said something we couldn't even understand. It was as if she was saying, "What's your order?" even though it was obvious we were still looking at the menu pictures on the wall. Then I paid using my card... an error occurred, and she said, "No money!" I felt so insulted. I tried again, and the payment went through. Then she started making our order. As we were watching, she shouted at us to sit down. But no--we wanted to see how it's done. My sister sat down anyway, worried she might skimp on our food. She may have been rude to cover up her lack of English. When we asked her about the food, she completely ignored us--it was obvious she had a hard time speaking English. This lady was soooo rude, it totally ruined my day! We will never ever be back. Oh--and your banh mi? So-so. Not even close to Valley Sandwich in Reseda!

Grilled Pork Banh Mi (Banh Mi Thit Nuong) $9.50 04/22/2025

I came in on 04/22/2025 around noontime. Food: I only wanted to try their Banh Mi, but was also distracted by their other food displayed at the counter. Grilled Pork Banh Mi (Banh Mi Thit Nuong) ($9.50): The sandwich is huge. The pork was flavorful, I asked for extra pate ($1.00). The bread is crispy. Bo Bia ($9.50): They were selling it for 3/9.50. The rolls are huuuge. The peanut sauce and chili crisp pairs well with the rolls. Sesame Ball (Banh Cam) ($1.50): it was crispy on the outside, and the bean filling on the inside is not too sweet. Pairs well with coffee. Service: The service took a while which was understandable. Tons of people were ordering to go. But they prepared the food at a reasonable speed. I appreciate that. The lady at the cashier was kind to answer my questions and she recommended some food for me to try, and it was great! Atmosphere: The dining space was clean. A little bit loud, but it's a restaurant so that's expected. Overall the food tasted great. Would come back and try their other banh mi. 10/10 would recommend to a friend.

I'm almost upset that this place has been here and I'm only just getting acquainted. This is a zero frills restaurant but I don't need ambiance when I can have a sandwich this freaking good. Food was made quickly and I ate it probably too quickly because seriously how do they make it taste this good??

Is there a vegetarian sandwich besides the tofu sandwich? Love their tofu sandwiches but also wanted a second choice. Thanks.

Yes! They have a mushroom banh mi or both tofu + mushroom and a veggie sandwich with avocado!

The place itself is not that big, maybe 8 tables throughout? They looked short staffed because the person cleaning up the tables was also the person taking the orders and bringing the food, while it seemed like only one person was working in the kitchen. Nonetheless, service was good and the wait was worth the quality. They've got some other viet staples like banh beo and banh xeo which I have to try at a later time. We ended up getting the fried calamari as an appetizer and it was surprisingly good like Italian restaurant quality, and of course eggrolls. The eggrolls were fresh and crispy and I appreciated that they actually give you a lot of lettuce and herbs to wrap with them. For the mains we got the bun cha Hanoi and bun thit nuong. I think without the appetizers the portion sizes were a little smaller than I would've hoped for but the taste of both were good. This place is a quaint, little hole in the wall with quality, authentic Vietnamese food that exceeds expectations.

Their banh beo was good, but slightly more chewy/gummy than I'm used to - I would try something else next time. All that food ran us $75 before tip, and we took home leftovers!! Ambiance is modest and casual, with only a couple people working in the restaurant so expect a slower but no less friendly and attentive meal. I'll be coming back to try more of their menu. Love having a place like this in the valley where I know I can get some good banh xèo and unique Viet dishes apart from pho.

However, cut to today where the prices have significantly increased - for the vibe and place - it's not worth it anymore. Also, seeing firsthand the owners seem less friendly and seemingly more money minded, I feel they take their customers for granted knowing there will be demand regardless of how they are or what they charge; this does not sit well with me. Given there has been growth of vegan-vegetarian restaurants, I would support other and newer restaurants instead.

Whenever I'm in Reseda, it's really only to go here. Trust me, it's worth the trip since this is my "go-to" Vietnamese restaurant for 23+ years. Appetizers: Egg Rolls - 9.8 / 10 Quite possibly the crispiest, crunchiest egg rolls literally anywhere on the face of this planet. These are the egg rolls by which any other egg rolls that I eat is measured by. Granted my "Filipino Card" could be revoked for saying this, but if I had to choose between these Vietnamese variants over my heritage's Lumpiang Shanghai , I would have to go with the former. Soup / Pho: #9 Pho Ga - 8.5 / 10 I usually order rare steak pho myself, but since the person whom I always go with orders this, we just split a large rather, she's nice enough to me 1/3 of her generous large. I appreciate the simplicity. A pure, clean, chicken consommé with thick, juicy slices of chicken breast. I really only ever eat chicken soup when I'm sick, but I will gladly make an exception for pho ga. Entrée: #43 Bún Nem Nu'óng Thit Nu'óng (Heo Hoac Bò) (Charbroiled Pork or Beef, Grilled Pork Ball with Vermicelli Noodles & Vegetables) - 8.9 / 10 Hot take: when I usually get Vietnamese food, I don't get Pho unless it's raining (I know, I'm weird with this weather / temperature psychological thing). That said, the #43 hits the spot every time. Do yourself a favor & get this with beef (you can choose between charbroiled beef or pork). The (sliced) pork meatball is like a nicer, meatier spam. Throw that on some chilled rice noodles & round that off with some sliced vegetables (cucumber, carrots, daikon radish) & you've got a nice variety of flavors + textures. Bonus points for always getting directly seated as soon as you walk in. Looking back, I'm glad that one of my sister's former boyfriends introduced her to this place back in 2003. I also ordered the combination fried rice to-go--portion size was decent, but flavor-wise it was nothing exciting. Service was just meh. I've definitely had better service at their other locations, which was a bit disappointing. Overall: flavorful pho, good egg rolls--but I probably won't be back to this location because of the service. Good thing it's a chain; there are other spots to support.

Places that keep my drink full are places with great service typically. I almost always get one of the Pho soups, but tonight I decided to get their Cornish Game Hen with veggies and rice, a chef's special. It was very, very tasty. The hen was done with a really crisp outside and super tender inside. I added jalapeños and cilantro as well. Excellent choice. One person in our group ordered a yellow curry (vegetarian with no tofu) for $19.95. I'm not sure if that was a one off or the waiter randomly decided it would be extra, but every other Thai restaurant I've been to includes the rice.
