We haven't been here for a few years. I think that this cafe is under new ownership. They were quite slow and that's not a good thing for a place catering to the blue collar workers who need a fast lunch. Ours took at least 30 minutes. The server might be new as she didn't seem to know what she was doing. Coffee took a long time to come. When the meals started to arrive she didn't include utensils, jam or napkins. Also the only utensils we could find were those one use wooden types. Those are okay for take out but we were eating off of plates and should have metal utensils. There were three of us and the first two were at least half done before mine even arrived. Those were the bad points, or the problems that need corrective action. On the positive side the cook (who I think is the owner) did a good job of cooking tasty meals. He was slow but he knew what he was doing. My partner's omelet look unique and she really enjoyed it. My wrap was good too. The cook understood English much better than the server and had more personality on display when he greeted his customers. Hopefully they will resolve the service issues. If they do, they should do well. read more

Delivery was quick and all instructions were followed. The portions were larger than I expected, which was a pleasant surprise especially considering the price. You can tell everything is homemade, which is a nice change! The food is hearty but dosent leave you bloated afterwards. The bacon tasted great and was extra crispy as requested. Over medium eggs were cooked perfectly. Fries were a little bland and soggy. I'd really like to see some house seasoning salt added in the future. read more

To be honest, I really didn't want to go in there....its.....ugly. I worked accross the street for 6 months before venturing in out of despiration for a place to sit and visit with a friend of mine I hadn't seen in some time. Having only 1/2 hour for lunch break, I was under pressure to get in and get out. Service was prompt and friendly and my meal, a club sandwich, came out very quickly. Was deilicious, generous and inexpensive. Today, suffering from a massive hang over from the Fleetwood Mac concert last night, I went back to try breakfast which I noted they serve on my previous visit. Somehow despite the large "breakfast" sign affixed to the side of the building I had missed that fact up until then. Although I didn't have time to sit and enjoy the french toast or the bacon and eggs, I ordered a breakfast sandwich to go. Was wonderful. read more

There aren't a lot of Korean burger/ramen restaurants in town, and I guess when you're in a bizarre niche you have to do what you can to make the place memorable. A print-out sign with a picture of Psy holding a bowl of something brown hangs above the window to the kitchen. "Try our Gangnam Style Ramen!" it says. Do they really want to invite the comparison, though? I declined to try the ramen, fearing it would taste like a faceful of wet newspaper confetti. Instead I ordered the bulgogi burger and sat down to wait for a while. They were pretty speedy, and less than ten minutes later they brought it out. While the bulgogi was perfectly marinated and perfectly cooked, there was so little of it that it didn't even cover the bun. I enjoyed the sandwich, but it could have been so much more impressive--it was like they were dancing on the top of a very short building, with a much taller building looming in the background. The other burgers I'm pretty sure come from a box in the back with a Costco logo on it. They're cheap and get the job done, like a rented horse stable when you need a place to shoot dance scenes. I'm giving the place three stars for reasons: it's cheap, and like Psy's music, there's just some inexplicable quality that makes me like the place despite having very good reasons not to. read more

It's hard not to judge this book by its cover. But when you look past the old furniture and dated decor, you see the smiling faces of a family business. Food here is served semi cafeteria style - grab a tray, a drink from the cooler or snack from the shelf and order up. They have a variety of cold and warm sandwiches, burgers, soup and some asian dishes. We opted for the reuben and beef dip sandwiches with fries. And although my expectations were low to start, they were definitely exceeded. The food was quick and tasty. The breads were fresh and the meat was really good. The fries - hot and crispy, just like the ones they used to serve at my high school cafeteria. ;) Overall, a great place for a fast, inexpensive lunch. read more

Options for lunch around this neighborhood are limited, but if you are looking for something fast, home made or to support small business, this could be your choice. They have pre-made sandwiches so you can grab and pay, they can make a sandwich of your choice just in front of you so you can decide toppings for it. 2 or three options of saladas, burgers, hot sandwiches, fries and poutine are also available. They offe cold pops, bottle juice, water and energy drinks, candy/chocolate shelf. Soup - 2 different options every day. Cookies and banana bread are always available. You can find around 12 tables in case you decide to stay or you can sit while you wait for your order to be ready. Parking is always available or you can walk if you work around this area. The fried chicken are so delicious ! Will def come back. The coating is very crispy, even after half hour of driving home.

I ate probably the driest and most overcooked piece of fried chicken in my life at this restaurant. If there were a thing such as deep-fried chicken jerky, it'd probably be something like what we had. I'm not opposed to the restaurant charging extra for getting the chicken sauce-coated, but the existence of our soy-garlic sauce was only evidenced by it running off the plate, which was utterly perplexing given that the chicken itself tasted nothing of the sauce. An interesting physics phenomenon, perhaps, but culinarily most unfortunate. read more

Been here twice had cheese burger with fries last visit burger was pretty good no overly great but not the worse I've ever had. Prices were good. Today was a day to give their poutine a try. And poutine it's not but tastes good any how it is pretty much fries covered with shredded mozzarella and cheaper then covered with gravy which the gravy is great tasting if they would have used cheese curds I would have given 4 stars read more
