Raspberry milkshake
Jennie L.

This is no Red Robins. It was Father's Day, so I was glad that I made reservations and got in pretty quickly. Pretty much the same menu items as what you would get at Red Robins but named differently. Also had a few additional sandwiches etc. Hubby decided on the Kentucky Bourbon BBQ 6oz burger topped with lettuce and tomato, melted cheddar cheese, crispy shoestring onions, garnished with mayo and smoky Kentucky Bourbon BBQ sauce. Kiddo went with the Bruschetta Chicken - 5oz breaded chicken breast topped with our own roma tomato and goat cheese bruschetta with a dash of our house made spicy aioli. While I went with pacific salmon burger which included grilled pacific salmon filet, fresh lettuce, tangy dill sauce. Our youngest went with the pepporoni pizza and fries from the kid's menu. And oldest went with a milk shake. Our server depite forgetting some things was friendly and apologetic and it was super busy. Food was mediocre. Hubby was confused by the texture of the meet, and felt that the patty was a bit small. Toppings were fine. I enjoyed my salmon burger but again pretty small filet. Oldest kid did not say too much about it. Youngest wolfed down her kids meal. No complaints there. Steak fries were undercooked. The best thing in the meal was my kid's milkshake which was nice and thick and great flavoured (she decided on the raspberry) I heard mixed reviews of this place but needed to try it for myself. Probably won't be back.

Lg Strawberry milkshake
Doug W.

We came to tryout this place on a recent Tuesday afternoon after a recommendation by my daughter's friend. I had the Bacon cheddar burger and a Lg strawberry shake both were really good high quality meat and tasted great. My daughter had Kentucky bourbon burger on a gluten free bun fries and a strawberry banana milkshake. She said the burger was very juicy and the bun was very good fresh and soft that is not easy to find. Over all very good and bottomless fries! The service was excellent. Andrew the server we had was very help and spot on with recommendations. He was attentive checking in as well as giving us time to enjoy our meal Great job Andrew!!!

Bellini

To be honest I think this is the best burger I've had in Edmonton, the server was also so nice and was always checking on us to see what we needed. The music was also bumping and was throwbacks. I tried 2 different burgers and they were amazing, I would definitely recommend and I'm going to be back with friends! As well I think it was either the owner or the head manager was super sweet.

Requested hot sauce got buffalo sauce.

Phat Tony's Bistro & Cafe - Donairs grilled cheese and potato soup

Phat Tony's Bistro & Cafe

(20 reviews)

Figured it was time to update my review since Phat Tony's has moved…read more Their new space is much bigger then the previous location, with lots more tables than before, and even some couches. They've also extended their hours a bit so they're open earlier and little later than before, but Phat Tony's is still a breakfast/lunch place. They're not open for dinner. I haven't tried any of the breakfast sandwiches, but I've come here for lunch a couple of times. You can dine in or take your sandwich to do. Their sandwiches are freshly made and massive. They come with a dill pickle wedge, and side (garden salad or coleslaw or potato salad). I always opt for the potato salad. I generally don't like restaurant potato salads (prefer homemade) but I love the potato salad at Phat Tony's. They also usually have a few soups on hand if you want something warm. And there are salads and wraps too. They also usually have some baked goods and squares, but the portions are so large I never have room for dessert. If you leave Phat Tony's hungry you've done it wrong. If you're looking for a sandwich in Leduc definitely give Phat Tony's a go. I'll be back again.

Lots of parking in the communal parking lot. Easy to find, but make sure to use the mall entrance…read more Didn't have more than a 5 minutes wait to order take-out in person at 11:15AM and order was ready in under 7 minutes. Got take out twice. Donair Grilled cheese: 12/10 delicious. Will be getting again! Great price too. Potato salad it comes with is 10/10 too. Potato soup: 12/10 best I've had in a very long time! Phat Tony's Ultimate Sandwich: 9/10, just not as good as the Donair sandwich. Chicken Noodle soup: 4/10. Way too may vegetables and not enough noodles for my liking.

Interesting concept for a bakery & I can't believe this review got stuck in my drafts…read more You grab your tray as you enter (don't forget the wax paper lining & personal tongs for your bakery selection needs) & then go to town selecting your coveted treats (extremely hard to decide if you're trying to only choose one). As the dessert displays are set up like a buffet, you're able to grab your dessert or breads yourself. Lots of cake options (by the slice) closer to the till too. However, I am way too distracted by earlier bakery options before I ever see the cake slice options. There's a wide range of desserts, snacks & even lighter meal options. For me the croissant as a doughnut is a must to try (most places call it a cronut). Whatever it is called here, it is deliciously tasty (the first visit here, I tried the custard one) with just the right amount of messiness. There's lots of drink options too. The lavender matcha frap will absolutely be a return summer drink for me (& that says a lot, as I don't usually enjoy matcha kind of mixes). I also really appreciated the barista bringing my drink over so I didn't have to worry about too full of cup while walking with a cane. Of course there's different breads to enjoy too. I bought a loaf of raisin bread on my way out & my goodness... TASTY! Truly, if the price wasn't so high for size the loaf, I would of gone back for another loaf before the week was over (it's that good!). Do check to make sure the bags are closed when you're grabbing something (some have weak twist ties). Things to note on the difference from Whyte Ave location. -Brand new place but there's less seating (at least indoors). However, there's an interesting gathering area just outside. -Outdoor seating area is like a general gathering spot for the area & can be used for seating groups or families if it's nicer weather. Even a dropped down area to keep the kids corralled. -As this location is in the SW, there's always lots of parking, even on a hockey play-off night. -I didn't see any specific handicap spots along the shops & restaurants that are all joined together. Maybe they've added some now, as things were still being finished up when I was there in June. -For those with hearing challenges, it might be a bit hard to visit during busy times due to how full the place can get (even if the majority is taking to go). I really like the fun atmosphere & what seemed like endless options for a lovely coffee visit. Great to have a decent bakery this far SW & I'm sure I'll be back there again this coming summer while visiting friends.

When I arrived, the shop was quite busy, but I was served very quickly! The employees are friendly,…read moreefficient and knowledgeable. All of the pastries and cakes were beautifully displayed, and there were many interesting items. I chose the strawberry supreme croissant, blueberry chiffon cake slice, and lemon citrus tart. All of my items were fresh, flavourful and made with quality ingredients.

Pals Sandwiches

PALS!!! I have been a huge fan since their opening day in 2022 and it's about time that I finally…read morewrite about them! Part of the venerable Strathcona restaurant monopoly of The Next Act (the OG), Meat (the meaty one), Pip (the brunchy one), and Marlo (the taco one), Pals holds their own as the sandwich one. This five-restaurant stronghold wouldn't work if each and every one of them wasn't so dang good. But they are. Pals showed up on the scene after Pip moved across the street and there was enough room in the building to fit a delightful little sandwich shop in there as well. Pals to the left and Pip to the right - and one (beautiful) shared washroom downstairs for both. It's a pretty harmonious arrangement as far as I can tell! Pals might be a small little sandwich guy but it boasts a beautiful outdoor patio in the summertime that just about doubles the space. Named Favourite Handheld on the Edmonton Food Faves We Crave 2024 list and most recently awarded Best Sandwich 2025 in EDify Magazine, you'll also find them on the Worldwide Faves section of this very website. The interior is somewhat small but very bright and fresh. Casual light wood high-tops, counter seating, a few bench seats near the back, and the aforementioned patio. You'll also note pops of their signature yellow, especially on their unmistakable brick facade outside. The restaurant feels breezy and gives off a comfortable vibe that makes you want to "stop in to grab a quick sandwich." And maybe people-watch out the window for a few minutes. The staff is also super friendly which makes you feel like you're hanging out with your pals. (Ha! See what I did there?) Situated at a table on a Saturday evening, I was looking for the maximum Pals experience! Pals is all about the drinks and offers an impressive array of cocktails and beer, especially for such a small shop. The Winter Sangria sounded like a seasonally appropriate delight while their Caesar made with pepperoncini brine is an ideal compliment to their use of pepperoncini elsewhere on the menu. On this visit I opted for the Strathcona Sling (Gin, cherry liqueurs, orange & pineapple juice, bitters - $15.00) which not only sounded delicious but also might be the signature beverage of the entire neighbourhood. This drink sounds like it might be pretty sweet but I didn't find that about it. It's very refreshing and the grown-up flavours from the gin and bitters hold their own. What sounds like a kid's shirley temple actually tastes quite adult. This would absolutely be the quintessential patio beverage on a hot summer day during the Fringe - a cocktail that lives up to it's name. The Pals food menu is an extravaganza of sandwiches! There are fourteen different sandwiches in two categories; made hot or served fresh. There's usually a feature sandwich as well. Be prepared for sandwiches like you've never seen them before! But the snacks, soups, and salads are incredible as well and the quality certainly doesn't stop with the sandwiches alone. In an effort to dig into this part of the menu a bit more I thought it prudent to order the Soup & Salad Combo (Choice of soup & salad with house focaccia - $19.00). A great option if maybe you don't want a sandwich. Pals usually has two different soups and salads on the go so you're able to customize this dish with whatever combo you like. I chose the House Soup (dill pickle & spicy pepperoncini) and The Other House Salad (iceberg lettuce, tomato, green onion, blue cheese, bacon, buttermilk ranch). Let's start with the soup. How unique!! You've never tasted a zingy little bowl of soup like this before! I don't know about you, but I love a dill pickle soup very much (maybe it's my Eastern European ancestry) but the addition of pepperoncini totally changes the game. This soup packs a punch but in the most interesting and delicious way. And then the salad! I ordered this one because it sounded like a wedge salad (one of my favourites) without the wedge. A deconstructed wedge salad, if you will. And boy did it deliver! The flavours of tomato and bacon together are so classic and the generous chunks of crumbled blue cheese were perfection. I loved how well-dressed everything was - not a dry leaf in the house. A salad may sound like a boring thing to order but certainly not in this case. Let's not forget the focaccia which cannot be treated as an afterthought because it was incredible. This bread was impossibly light while still possessing the unctuous and oily quality that you want from a focaccia. The crust was impossibly crispy and dusted in salt. What a dream! Honestly, I know that you need to order a sandwich... But maybe you don't? I'm going to have an existential crisis about this. But yes, I obviously ordered a sandwich. This might be an unpopular opinion but I highly favour the "served fresh" sandwiches at Pals by a lot. The BLT is the best in the entire city, I swear. The Burrata is completely insane - I've never seen a stack of prosciutto so high.

The sandwiches were good, the service was perfect, the ambiance was sandwich restaurant. Clean,…read moreSwedish style decor.
