Was looking after Amber's cats and needed some food for me and this fat burger was right here. Since it was summer, I went Hawaiian with the burger and a maui banana for the shake. I also had some fried pickles, which were not tropical themed. The fried pickles were good. They mKe them pickle chips and not ling spears. Makes them easier to eat. Only other place I have seen do that was Molly's Reach so they are I good company. Hawaiian burger with grilled pineapple was better than I thought it would be. Might work it into the rotation now and again. And of course shake was good. read more

Went over lunch hour with coworkers. We sat down to eat. Place was not busy when we got there so it was fast for us. Very clean place that I felt really comfortable eating there. The lady that helped us was really helpful and patient with our order. Lots of parking. The good was a good size for the money. Very tasty burger. I love their Chicken Tenders Combo with the Skinny Shake. This restaurant is always clean and the staff are very friendly. The restaurant is not overly large but one does have space to walk across this room. You are greeted as you enter and when you leave- I go during the less busy time of day. I do not recall hearing the traffic on 104 St, which is always busy. One will come to check with you that their food and service is acceptable. The chicken is always so moist and tender with a crispy coating and fries done to perfection. The menu includes chicken tenders, burgers, which I can attest are delicious and juicy, fries, shakes, fountain beverages, bottled water, and even breakfast items. This is a perfect spot to relax and chill while having delicious fast food. read more

Ordered the 1/3lb Maple BBQ FatBurger, it was good. The fries were crispy (unlike Five Guys) and it was great to have a spicey shaker for the fries at the table. My pleasure request, I still enjoy the option of building my own burger. read more

I have never been inside this restaurant. But I've ordered from them about three times. The first order - burger and poutine - was amazing. The second order - was less than amazing so I held off writing a review. I just placed an order tonight and sat down to enjoy a video while waiting for delivery. Imagine my surprise when my phone told me my order was on its way after only about a ten minute wait. All in all. While the food is of course, your typical fast food, food. I've never had a problem with my orders. And therefore, I will be a repeat customer. I will say that the food is about 10 times better than what you'd get at MacDonalds. read more

I have not had great experiences with "boutique" fast food burgers, as anyone who follows my reviews knows. I panned The Burger's Priest as Fast Food Sacrilege and felt 5 Guys was only worth 2 Guys, at best. I am an old school fast foodie, and still like A&W or Harvey's for value in the burger realm. Since this new location of Fatburger opened up in the Oliver neighbourhood, I felt compelled to give it a go and stopped by last night. First impressions were not great. I went in after dark, and the lighting in this place gives it the ambience of an interrogation room. Lots of cold white LED pots which remove any semblance of warmth from the room. I would never actually eat in the restaurant, and frankly found it extremely uninviting. The staff, however were very warm and inviting, and greeted me as soon as I stepped through the door. The young lady behind the counter was friendly and helpful, and let me peruse the menu before helping me make my order. Right off the hop, like every other boutique burger joint, the burgers are NOT cheap. A plain burger with no add ons is $7.99 and a simple bacon cheese burger is $10.00, as are most other 2 topping types. (there are other standard toppings included) this is daunting for a first visit when one is accustomed to a Teen Burger mentality. I opted for the Old Style Bacon Cheddar Burger for $10 and a side of fries for $3.69. The girl at the counter took my name, told me to take a seat, and that my order would be brought out to me in about 10 minutes. The kitchen is open, so you can watch the crew as they go through the routine, and they are good at what they do. I watched them prepare a number of orders ahead of mine, they called out peoples names as they went, and they even noted when they were working on my order so I expected it as it came up. I watched them package it up, and watched them dump some extra fries in the bag. (A nice touch.) My order took just under the quoted 10 minutes, and smelled delicious. It was still toasty when I got it home, as there was no way I was eating in the restaurant... The burger did not seem too big when I unpacked it, but when I started to get into it, it was dense and delicious. The patty was perfectly cooked with a serious quantity of bacon and real cheddar cheese. Lots of fresh tomato and lettuce, and quality condiments. This was NOT a Teen Burger. This WAS a $10.00 hamburger... The fries were also very good, and in a very generous portion. If this was the regular, there is no way I could have eaten a large. Properly cooked, double fried... crispy on the outside and light on the inside. I was stuffed and happy when I had finished this meal. I noticed this Fatburger location recently opened in my neighbourhood and after a long day, I figured I'd finally give it a shot. I have been to Fatburger in the past... but it's been so long I honestly couldn't even remember my previous opinion on the place. Anyways, my first impression was that the menu was incredibly difficult to read. It's a fast food chain, so the menu board is above the cash registers... but for the life of me I couldn't figure out if you could get a combo, how much that would be, how much fries are on their own... etc. There's just way too much writing and it's pretty disorganized. Not so much a comment on the location, but the chain in general. I finally went up to order a standard Fatburger with fries (and ended up getting a combo with a drink, which was a $1 discount according to my receipt). The total was a little over $13. In perspective, that's for a burger, fries, and drink... with no cheese or anything on the burger. Pretty expensive for fast food, in my opinion. Anyways, in terms of quality: the fries were excellent, and you got a lot. Typical drink selection. As previously mentioned, the burger had no cheese (which I didn't realize until after I ordered and examined the menu further while waiting). The toppings were kind of meh... the lettuce was on the yellow end, as was the tomato. And the onions were chopped rather than rings, so they fell off everywhere as you ate. Lastly, the burger itself was REALLY GOOD, however, it was incredibly crumbly. Pieces of burger (and onion) were just falling everywhere as I ate. Anyways, would I be back? Maybe... it's close, the fries are good, and I want to give their milkshakes a try. That said, it was expensive for fast food, and I probably wouldn't give the burgers another chance since they were so difficult to eat. read more

First time tried the lettuce wrap burger and chicken sandwich. All taste very good and ample amount of lettuce so the chicken/burger is fully wrapped inside. Love the milk shake too. Certainly will visit again. read more
