    a hamburger and french fries

HIDDEN , sneaky burger place hiding on me. If I hadn't seen this place on TikTok I would have never known about it. It's tucked away inside Granite Curling club by whyte ave. We came here on Saturday afternoon right when they opened for some lunch. It's right there when you walk in on your left hand side, the menu is small but simple. We ordered two single Pattie's, French fries (which are steak cut and my fave!) with their famous flatty sauce. We crushed it and the price was good. There were two people working when we got their, both friendly and brought our food to the table even though we were steps away. This would be a good place to come eat when curling is back up and going.

I have to rate this place 5/5 stars. I've been following them on instagram, and had high expectations. Upon arrival, I was a bit hesitant, because it's located in a curling rink. But, my hesitation stopped when I entered the rink with my buddy, and all we could smell was food! The menu is super basic, but I find with basic menus usually means the food is the furthest thing from basic. I ordered a double beef with lettuce tomato, cheese, and crispy onions; with fries and a Dr Pepper. Order came to about $21, which honestly isn't terrible! Sat down, and waited about 5-6 minutes for the food. It came steaming hot to our table. My first initial bite was the fries. Hot, crispy, lightly salted. No complaints. My next bite was of the burger. Upon entry into my face, I instantly knew this burger meant business. It's a smash style patty, so smashed super thin, and had those crispy edges, yet was somehow juicy, and flavourful! Everything was amazing! Only downside, but I didn't let that downgrade the review; was the pickles. Wasn't a fan, and my buddy was a fan of the cheese. But this burger EASILY tops most of the other burger spots in Edmonton, and it's not far from the King, which is Woodshed Burgers

Burgers are good, selection is small but has everything you need. Small issue very busy so tables turnover fast and need a wipe more often. Ample parking

Probably the best smash burgers in Edmonton. Located in an industrial area just off 51ave, this takes out only joint is in the biz of making outstanding smashburgers at a great price. The process is simple, go to their website, order, get the confirmation with a pickup estimate time, show up, they bring you out your order. The burger is so good. I had their signature Flat Boy Burger, tomato, lettuce, special sauce, cheese and the perfect smashburger patty with an unreal crust. $11. Great flavors and textures, this place is a winner.

I've been following them for a while on Instagram and finally made it out. The fact that they are in a curling rink I find truly hilarious and awesome. The food is simple nothing fancy BUT oh so frickin delicious.. we had the single flatties, fries and flatty sauce, and the key lime pie. I'm going to say this is our new favourite place. Hands down one of the top 10 meals we've ever had. The burgers are unbelievable, fries are thick and the flatty sauce is perfect, but the key lime pie oh my. The two people working were super friendly too.

It has taken awhile to visit Flat Boy as they are only open Saturday and Sunday and usually sell out, but we got there today and wow! I got the Flat Boy Burger for $11, two 3 ounce fresh Alberta grass-fed beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, bread and butter pickles and Flat Sauce. It was absolutely amazing, I would say it's the best burger I have ever had (sorry Five Guys). We ordered the lightly salted kettle chips and it was a perfect pairing with the burger, make sure you get some extra Flat Sauce for the chips. Order from their website and pick a time for pick up. We got there and gentleman came out to tell us our order was being made and then brought out the order to us curb-side.

Pyro used to be my go to burger place. If I would have tried Fox before, it would have been my #1…read more Best burger I have ever had! Thin crispy patties and a nice fresh bun. Great service, great food, a tad pricey but you get what you paid for.

We adventured to this burger spot because we heard they were offering free kids meals for the month…read moreof October, the caveat was that you had to purchase a regular meal for each kids meal. But we have 2 kids and 2 adults so it worked out for us! The kids menu items are a hot dog, a cheeseburger or Mac and cheese. All the portions for the kids looked really big which I appreciated. My boys are eaters and it was nice to see that they got just as many French fries on their plate as an adult portion. And PS the garlic fries are amazing!!! I'm so happy we got 3 orders of the garlic fries and I was curious and tried the animal fries as well- they were different...tasty but definitely a unique taste. The closest I can describe it is cheese wiz and mustard and caramelized onions. Very potent, I saw they have an Animal burger which probably uses that same mixture combo. Animal fries cost an extra $4 so for the extra cost I would probably just go with the garlic fries every time because they don't have an extra cost. I ordered the most popular Bacon Pepper Smash ($21 single $25 double) and really enjoyed the flavor and the price was on point. Smash sauce, pickled peppers, bacon, American cheddar, iceberg. The single was definitely enough for myself but with the thinner patties I could see why some people order the double. Hubby had the Inferno ($21 single $25 double) Inferno sauce, pickled peppers, crispy fried onions, American Swiss, iceberg. The sauce was spicy! Good but spicy! And it kind of overpowered the whole thing. Parking down the side street was a bit of a walk but not terrible and right beside this place is a cool looking liquor store and Kind Ice Cream across the road. The space itself was pretty big and we felt like we weren't too smushed up on booth next to the next table. Bathrooms are downstairs, mind your head! And there was a baby change table in the women's bathroom.
