Drinks: Slam-O-Nade: 9/10, flavor was great, could have been more sour. Love that they add a touch of slush on top! Wild Peach Pie: boyfriend disliked but I thought it was delicious and give it a 9/10. Cherry Pie cocktail: 9/10, great flavor, would get again. Double flatty: 10/10, great flavor, great bun, great meat flavor and moist. Poutine: sadly I hated the gravy but boyfriend liked it. Fries underneath were super crisp and yummy. Next time I'd like to try the fries with "dip". Pickle: boyfriend loved. Great crunch considered the size. Mini key lime pie: 10/10. Crust and filling were both great. HIDDEN , sneaky burger place hiding on me. If I hadn't seen this place on TikTok I would have never known about it. It's tucked away inside Granite Curling club by whyte ave. We came here on Saturday afternoon right when they opened for some lunch. It's right there when you walk in on your left hand side, the menu is small but simple. We ordered two single Pattie's, French fries (which are steak cut and my fave!) with their famous flatty sauce. We crushed it and the price was good. There were two people working when we got their, both friendly and brought our food to the table even though we were steps away. I have to rate this place 5/5 stars. I've been following them on instagram, and had high expectations. Upon arrival, I was a bit hesitant, because it's located in a curling rink. But, my hesitation stopped when I entered the rink with my buddy, and all we could smell was food! My next bite was of the burger. Upon entry into my face, I instantly knew this burger meant business. It's a smash style patty, so smashed super thin, and had those crispy edges, yet was somehow juicy, and flavourful! Everything was amazing! The new location at Shiddy's is awesome. The decor is old school burger joint. The combination of drinks from Shiddys and Sea Change and food from Flat Boy Burgers is perfect. The menu is simple- burger and fries and they do them both fantastic. The fries are addictive and the aioli sauce is great. The smashed burger is probably one of the best in town. I ought to dock this place a star for having sweet pickles! Interesting little eatery inside a curling rink. Apparently 2 floors of seating but I did not go upstairs. They have a simple menu. Flatty Burgers, Fries and Pop. Key Lime Pie and Flatty sauce. Which was very tasty. Sort of like a thousand island sauce. I asked for pickles on the side as well. Good portion sizes, I was stuffed! I've been following them for a while on Instagram and finally made it out. The fact that they are in a curling rink I find truly hilarious and awesome. The food is simple nothing fancy BUT oh so frickin delicious.. we had the single flatties, fries and flatty sauce, and the key lime pie. I'm going to say this is our new favourite place. Hands down one of the top 10 meals we've ever had. The burgers are unbelievable, fries are thick and the flatty sauce is perfect, but the key lime pie oh my. It has taken awhile to visit Flat Boy as they are only open Saturday and Sunday and usually sell out, but we got there today and wow! I got the Flat Boy Burger for $11, two 3 ounce fresh Alberta grass-fed beef patties, American cheese, lettuce, onion, tomato, bread and butter pickles and Flat Sauce. It was absolutely amazing, I would say it's the best burger I have ever had (sorry Five Guys). We ordered the lightly salted kettle chips and it was a perfect pairing with the burger, make sure you get some extra Flat Sauce for the chips. Order from their website and pick a time for pick up. New Californian style smash burgers are in YEG! Simple ingredients but oh SO good! I mean these burgers are fantastic! I recommend getting the burg with 2 patties (flat boy burger). One just didn't seem enough (flatty lite burger). Plus the taste of the meat is top notch; the more the merrier. Had the kettle chips and flat sauce; these were good, not greasy. The flat sauce tastes like mayo & ketchup?? Not sure but the sauce is really good. Highly recommend. Although I wish they offered fries. The key lime pie is recommended as well. I've ordered twice from here and they are hands down my fave burger place in Edmonton. Even the fully vegan one is good. Key lime pie is fricken good and I've been to the Florida Keys and enjoyed many slices of key lime pie. This measures up. So far I think they only do orders on Fri and Sat, and you can order days in advance if you like. Service is great too - they bring it right out to your car. read more

I'm not a big fan of those places where you can only pre-order but I'd heard good things so we tried. I ordered for 6pm pick up at around 5:20pm. Once I paid, I received an email saying the order would be ready at 6:30pm. We still arrived at 6:00pm and sat in the car waiting. By the looks of the place, they have the ability to have dine-in; shame it wasn't available. We finally received our food at 6:35pm and dug in. We ordered the flat boy, the camp burger, and two kettle chips. Both burgers were extremely salty and the bottom buns were falling apart and super messy. I thought the kettle chips came with dip but they don't which was disappointing. Overall, this place isn't anything too special but it's nice they have beyond meat patties. We probably wont return until they provide regular take out and/or dine-in. read more
