My 84 year old father made the unfortunate mistake of going to Sanderson to look at a Grand Marc he saw advertised. It was sold when he got there. They called him with another one, but when he found how little he would get for his trade, he left. They persisted and hammered on him until he bought a car he never had been looking at. As it turned out, I believe they took advantage of a confused elderly man to clear the lot of this car before 2014, when it could no longer be sold as certified. Within two days, he and his wife did not like the sportier car they had been sold. But Sanderson has a no return policy. On top of selling it to him for the inflated sticker price, due to his confused state, they also sold him a maintenance plan and a paint plan. He never paid sticker in his life on a used car. My sister and brother called and visited. Finally, the SM said bring it in, I will make an offer to buy it back. My father was very unhappy with the car, so he took a $6,500 hit to dump it. They now have it on the lot for 2k less than he paid. He lost the sixty five hundred and they will make another profit. After just seeing The Wolf of Wall Street, and Jordan Belfort telling his minions "never let them say no" in his training course, I came to the conclusion that is how Sanderson trains their sales force. It would have been very easy for Sanderson Lincoln to do the right thing, and perhaps share a bit of the loss, but no, they have to make an even greater profit. And all this right at Christmas time! Our entire family was very disappointed in their customer service as well as their taking advantage of an elderly man without all his wits. Incidentally, the salesman that sold him the car 'moved on' within days. read more

I've been holding off writing this review bc of the fact that many of my previous visits for routing maintenance have been stellar but after 4+ years of having both my Lincolns serviced at Sanderson, something changed and I'm EXTREMELY unhappy about the way they devalued my MKT. The issue first surfaced when the rear sunscreen in my MKS had an issue with rolling up or down and they replaced it under warranty. I didn't even get it home when it hung up due to faulty workmanship and had to return to have it done again. I felt someone (???) should have run it up and down to make sure the repair was done properly before sending the vehicle back out. Am I alone on this?? The issue I'm dealing with this time is how they completely destroyed a perfectly good 2013 Lincoln MKT after completing a repair. The vehicle has only 25,000 miles on it and is literally in PERFECT condition. Garaged and pampered, primarily bc I absolutely love the thing. It had an issue where the sunroof wouldn't close. Fixed under warranty. Good, you might think. Well, not really bc something happened somewhere during the process where a roof gasket got damaged and I had to return to have THAT replaced. During THAT re-visit, they marred the roof and some trim pieces and said/did nothing to try polishing it out or make any attempt what-so-ever to rectify the situation. The worst part that makes me SO FREAKIN ANGRY and prompts me to write a negative review is the fact that since the last roof repair, my entire dashboard rattles like hell. It drives me completely bonkers bc it even rattles on smooth pavement!! I took it back a THIRD time and supposedly every top level mechanic in the State (joking, but they put their "top guy" on it) did "everything they could" to repair the rattles but the bottom line is it continues to rattle like a salvage yard repo junker! The explanation they gave was "The warranty doesn't cover clips". I'm now driving a car I've taken exemplary care of,, had all my service work done there and has only 25,000 miles on that rattles your brains out while driving on smooth pavement. Forget about driving over cracks an broken pavement!!!!!!! WHY? Bc "my warranty doesn't cover CLIPS"! Has anyone ever heard of putting a car back together after a repair and not utilizing clips to hold the freaking dashboard on??? The service manage Ken Van Buren told me that if they caused the issue they have to fix it! Have they?? NOT! The only explanation I got was "The warranty doesn't cover clips". Every single time someone gets I my vehicle and asks why "a Lincoln rattles like this??" I tell them bc my Lincoln warranty doesn't cover clips!". How many you think they're going to sell with THAT bit of information stored in their bonnet??? I hear it frequently... "Your car is GORGEOUS but with only 25,000 miles on it and it rattles like THIS, I'LL never buy one!". It's not right and I'm angry to the point I'll end op dumping it and replacing it with something else but it WOULD BE NICE IF THEY'D STEP UP AND DO SOMETHING ABOUT IT!!!!! read more

They have no regard for customer service. They don't mind wasting your time and do not do the work they claim they will do. Had an appointment to repair my rims which were supposed to be done before I purchased my MKS. Made the appointment, drove there only to be sent away because I didn't bring documents I wasn't told I needed. They wanted me to reschedule. Ya right,time to find another service department and purchase new rims. Total waste of time. read more

Understand one important aspect of who I am. I AM A VERY CRITICAL PERSON. I admit it! I also require a lot of those people with whom I entrust my business. The Sanderson team is 100% spot on, especially when it comes to the Service Department. Case in point: We purchased a 2011 Lincoln MKS from a private owner prior to the initial new car warranty expiration date and Tom Cartwright handled everything without a care on our part. We extended that warranty and they've been servicing that Lincoln ever since. We'll NEVER go elsewhere. We were SO completely satisfied with the way we've been treated that we purchased a Lincoln MKT from them. It was one of those "Must have DREAM cars" of mine and they manage ALL our service requirements on both Lincolns to date. Tom goes W-A-Y out of his way to be personable, friendly and PERFECT when it comes to service. Always top notch in every way. Our cars are ALWAYS returned CLEAN, properly repaired when repairs are necessary, loaners are always offered and things are done right first time, every time. There has never been ANY other service rep that has done what Tom Cartwright does... make me/us 110% satisfied EVERY time. As I said, I am SUCH a critical person that when my records were transferred from Sanderson FORD to Sanderson LINCOLN, Tom recognized that I never allow anyone to wash my vehicles! I am the ONLY one to wash/detail my vehicles and I would prefer to get my car back dirty, rather than allow some goof to "wash it for me". Tom lets whoever is responsible for cleaning the cars after service that mine has to be SPOTLESS. I (NOW!) allow my cars to be returned clean. THAT'S HUGE for me! Second point: I have a snowbird friend that had a mishap with a tire on his Ford Edge. Our fear was over-paying for a replacement (best case) and/or being railroaded into buying FOUR at the same time. I called around and got pricing, then turned to Tom. He not only "price matched" the lowest competitor but came back with the finding that we need only replace the ONE tire that got damaged! IMAGINE! Who would expect that sort of outcome from a car dealer?? That's EXACTLY why we entrust our vehicles to Tom and Sanderson. They're not just a "Dealership", they're family!!!!! We had a great experience when buying a car from the dealership, until the end. They added service contract, and paint shield plan without my request or permission. We were advised during the test drive there were 2 keys for the car, but when we took delivery the second key could not be found, and they refused to honor what we were told during the sales pitch, because we didn't have it in written into the contract. We were told that the 2nd key was there with the cars documents so how would we have known to have them write a replacement key into the contract? That changed my opinion of the Sanderson name. read more

I think the repairs are done with quality. If they recommend a repair I would get a second opinion to verify it needs done. Also shop their repair rates to make sure they are in the ball park. Example they charged near 400 for a bad air pressure sensor... I called a different shop which quoted less than 100. They charge for a check engine diagnostic fee. Where almost every other shop this is free or waived if the repair is done. read more

Price was fair (but not rock bottom ... they are full service, not cut rate) and Randy stayed 30 minutes past closing time to make sure we understood every little gizmo and feature. I recently took my 1994 Ford Ranger (which I have been taking to Sanderson since it was new, 23 years) to have the battery checked. As I pulled into the quick lane my ABS brake light came on. I asked the service manager to check the air in the tires and I told him my ABS light came on. He said they would check the tires, but the ABS was an electrical problem and they wouldn't be able to check that. After they looked at the battery they brought the truck out. He said that the battery cables were bad and the connections were dirty and very loose. He said that they couldn't tighten the clamps on the posts. He told me that they had checked the tires. When I got home I checked the battery cables. One was tightened OK, the other was very loose and no attempt had been made to tighten it. I was able to easily tighten it myself. I cleaned off the clamps and retightened them. When I was doing this I noticed that my break fluid was low, and that had triggered the ABS light. When I checked the air in the tires I found that they were low. I called the manager and told him that the cable was loose and should have been tightened. He apologized (that didn't help much). I told him that the brake fluid was low and asked him if they had checked the fluid levels. He said they hadn't. I told him that in the past the levels were always checked and asked why they didn't check mine. He said that they didn't always do that. I asked him how they decided to check the levels. He just kept repeating that they didn't always do it. (I believed that they do always check the levels). I wonder what would have happened on my way home if the battery went out or my brakes failed. My truck is not in great shape. There is no body damage but the paint is fading. I believe that I know the criteria for whether they actually check the vehicles, and actually do the work they were supposed to. They just wanted my beater truck out of there. They did not want someone to see it sitting next to their new MKZ. I used to have a 1999 contour that I had been bringing to them for years. I have a 2012 Escape that I have always brought in for service and batteries. I guess it's still pretty enough and new enough to actually service. Needless to say, I'll be taking my junk truck and my Escape to Bell Ford from now on. read more

Furthermore, I must have had 4 different staff members offer me a refreshment or donuts on both days I was there in the span of less than an hour! The Sanderson Lincoln salesman lied to us about every aspect of the car - even lied about features included, warranty, perks, etc. Sanderson Lincoln told us they fired the salesman, but Sanderson Lincoln has no liability for the lies that their salesperson told. Black Label Lincoln has told me that Lincoln also has no liability. The owner of Sanderson Lincoln will not take our calls or acknowledge our emails. After taking the car in for repairs many times and getting the car back in worse shape than when we brought it in (dirty - parts lying on the floor - even the AC was broken by what I believe a Sanderson employee did to avenge the hundreds of complaints and emails sent to Sanderson). When I complained to the central Black Label Division at Lincoln, they were told that Sanderson Lincoln had no record of the complaints or problems. read more

I have been getting my Lincoln MKX serviced at Sanderson Lincoln since I moved to the Phoenix area almost two years ago. At my last oil change three months ago, it was recommended that I purchase at least two new tires. I was given a rating for each of the existing tires and I decided to purchase two rear tires. When I returned today for my next oil change, I was given the exact same speech concerning my tires. The ratings and all were an exact replica of my last visit. I stared the service manager in the eyes and told him that I had just heard this scenario three months ago and that the new tires were currently on my Lincoln. I thought he was going to drop over. He tried to back pedal so fast and furiously that he looked like a total imbecile and crook might I add. Unfortunately that will be the last time that I use this dishonest establishment. My grandfather, my father, my brother, and now my nephew have owned a family run Ford / Lincoln dealership in the midwest for the past 60 years. I know how important it is to be honest and straightforward with your customers. Sanderson Lincoln should be banned from business. read more

On 12/10/15 my husband and I had service to our 2005 Lincoln Navigator. Although the car is rather old, it is in very good condition and is one we intend to keep for some time to come. The front air shock was leaking and faulty on one side and Jaime Ferniza suggested that we install standard coil springs on both sides as it would be more cost efficient and the other shock would probably fail shortly. He ASSURED us that the ride would be very close to that with the air suspension and both would be done for the cost of replacing one of the air shocks. We went with his suggestion and to this day I am sorry that we took that advice. Our Navigator now rides like a true truck...reminds me of the Dodge Ram we owned several years ago. You feel every bump in the road and I tend to always take another vehicle when going out. So for $3120.70 we now have a vehicle that we no longer enjoy. We are very sorry we went with this advice. read more
