I was attended by a Spanish-speaking gentleman to whom I asked for help in removing a clamp from a small hose in my car. He refused, saying he was alone in the store (although he wasn't). I asked him if he could lend me some pliers to remove it and show it to him, but he insisted that I first buy other things I needed, and then he would lend me the pliers. When I purchased the items, he told me it would be better to go to a workshop. Clearly, he was too lazy to lend me pliers just to sell me a single clamp, but he had no problem misleading me with the promise that he would help if I made a purchase first. Mike Ludtke helped me out and recommended me all the parts i would need and gave me a suggestion of what to purchase for my moneys worth. He was very intelectual and extremely friendly. I had to replace a battery and alternator and as a result of those issues my check engine light came on. I went ahead and did that and also my oil change and my battery & check engine light turned off! The next day I came in to test my new battery and alternator. This time Jaymee assisted me and just like Mike he was extremely smart and well educated on automotive. As i said before they were both extremely helpful and it's clear that they have their customers best interest. If you ever come in I highly suggest you ask for them. Tolleson - Auto Zone Lupe (Assistant Store Manager) and Angie (Store Manager) ROCK! I came in with a dead battery. Lupe tested it and confirmed my diagnosis. After paying she came out to my Kia Soul and attempted to install the new battery. After taking the brackets off to remove the old battery she discovered that there were additional parts that needed to be removed before she could replace the battery. Store policy forbid her from moving forward. Angie made a few calls and was able to get Firestone (around the corner) to install it for me for FREE. That is customer service! Untrustworthy. I purchased a car (private sale) near AutoZone but was unable to get it registered that evening. As a customer of AutoZone I asked the manager if I could park the car in their lot overnight. They said yes and that they would keep an eye on it. I got all the paperwork and registration the following morning but when I got back to AutoZone not 24 hours after asking for permission the car was gone. The manager called a tow company to have it towed. Nice, thanks for nothing. read more

I bought a batter for my wife's car in September 2001 at this AutoZone store. The receipt clearly states in bold print "7 YEAR/84 MONTH WARRANTY ON THE ABOVE ITEM 24 MONTHS FREE REPLACEMENT PERIOD". I stopped in to have them check the battery because our garage told us it was testing poor. I talked to a larger younger fellow with a beard - no name tag so I'll call him Grizzly Adams - who looked at the receipt and just said tersely "We don't do pro-rations." I told him he was looking at THEIR receipt which clearly showed other wise. His comment, again nastily, was "I don't care what it shows, we don't pro-rate batteries. If you want to talk to the manger do it." I replied, "OK, I'll talk to the manager." Grizzly Adams response was, "Go ahead. He is right behind you, and I don't care if your talk to corporate too." He was rude to say the least. Indeed the gentleman right behind me helping another customer was the manager - at least that is what his name tag said. He looked at the receipt and agree that I had about 1 year left on the warranty. He sold me a new battery and gave me credit for the remainder of the warranty. "Karma is a bitch" as they say. While I was paying for the new battery, Grizzly was getting a part for another customer. He was up on a ladder getting the part off of a high shelf. When he pulled the part from the shelf, the whole box of parts came crashing down to the floor. Karma it's a bitch. read more

If I could I'd leave 0 stars!! I called ahead of time to see if they had a product that wasn't at the 24hr location so that I wouldn't waste my time & especially waste my gas, and they had it!! Problem was they were closing soon, but the guy told me on the phone, and I quote " if you're a few minutes past just call and let me know you're outside", as to which I replied "okay thank you so much I truly appreciate it"!! I pulled up at 10:02, as he's locking the doors i holler out, can I please get that, and to which he replied I already set the alarm.... knowing damn well I was on my way, and had said I hope I can make it in time which is when he said if it's a few minutes past just call when you're outside. I'm effing furious at the POS customer service, not only wasting my time, gas, and energy but by being the most rotten scum on earth, A LIAR! So if you like being mistreated and love being lied to then this is your place! If not STEER CLEAR of these two faced lying jerks! I rarely leave reviews, and when I do it's because how great it is. I never waste more of my time on a crap place, but they took it to far plus the attitude of his response when he said he already set the alarm and just walked off!!! Worst autozone I have even been to. The slow lazy girl at the register did not even look at me or the others waiting in line. She literally dragged her feet slowly as she walked over to the register after looking for tools to loan a couple that were ahead of me. Literally ten minutes and not even a look in my direction like I didn't exist. I went today to simply pickup a cable I bought online to pickup in store. That horrible cashier didn't even help me, the tall skinny guy with a short haircut who was already helping someone else assisted me and got my order real quick. This took more than 15 considering no one was ahead of me!That guy needs a raise and the girl should be kicked out the door. read more

It took three trips to Autozone to get my battery replaced that was under warranty. I even brought the print out from my mechanic's machine that stated the battery was bad. Michael, the manager, told me, "I have been an ASE certified mechanic for 35 years and I know this is a good battery". He then told me I should have done a parasitic diagnostic test on the car to see what the problem was. However, I explained to him my mechanic had hooked my car up TWICE and each time it had diagnosed the problem to a bad battery. He finally tested the battery again, and this time his machine showed it was a bad battery. I will not go to this Autozone again. Horrible customer service. read more

My battery died today and I threw a total fit because I know nothing about those machines and I thought it gave me a bad reading.
