I'm disappointed with my experience at Firestone. The entire purpose of scheduling an appointment is to reserve time for your vehicle to be serviced. After dropping my car off at my scheduled appointment time, more than two hours passed and my vehicle had still not even been touched. I understand that unexpected delays can happen, but it feels very unfair to customers who take the time to schedule appointments in advance only to have their vehicle sit in the parking lot for hours without any work being started. At that point, it makes you question the purpose of making an appointment at all. Better communication and more realistic scheduling expectations would go a long way. Unfortunately, this experience left me frustrated and feeling like my time was not valued. read more

Went in for a tire rotation and alignment, service time was very good but they never rotated my tires even though it was on the invoice. do not trust them, maybe they had a bad day but you know if you rotate tires or not. I will NEVER be back to a corporate tire store again!! Find a good local shop that you can trust and give them your business. I wish I could give no stars. I would reconsider you take photos before you get any service done here. I would not bring my vehicle here again. All the clippings on my vehicle has been taken off and was not replaced. Now all the fluids are leaking that were not leaking before. And they were not part of the reason of why my vehicle was taken in, in the first place. I'm not sure what they do with these vehicles parts or can someone tell me, why else were they not put back on, in the first place. I paid a lot of money for the service and not happy. FERNANDO gave my PREGNANT fiance with a aTODDLER a car with no ac. I brought my finances car to see why the DRIVERS side ac was not activating. It had cold air in the passenger side NO PROBLEM. But apparently to them it drained out with the car in THIER possession within a 12 hour period to where there was no cold ac. He said they DIDN'T drain it as their machine was supposed to be broken. Was supposed to bring it back TUESDAY but called in Wednesday because I could not make it nor do I want their full services. Even after speaking with my mother in law the information relayed By FERNANDO does not match what she was told. He proceeded to try and shame me for not calling soon as I just did not have time to make that kinda of call till WEDNESDAY MORNING.. How did my car lose all Freon in a sub 12 hour time period after holding strong for weeks. If there machine was bad why would they even try? Why not call us sooner? Heard a few bad things personally from this place never going back except to refill My Freon to take it somewhere else. Brought my fleet vehicle in at 8:30am on a Monday. I picked up my vehicle at 5:55pm with a flat tire still. I had to call for any update myself and they blamed the fleet insurance for taking a long time to approve the new tire. I've gone to Discount Tire several times and can get a new tire on in 2 hours or less and they have never had an issue getting approval from fleet insurance in that time frame. When I picked up my vehicle they lost the keys to their own bay door taking another 10 minutes of my time, forgot to put the center cap back on and continued to tell me it's the fleet insurance's fault. I'll be going to discount tire tomorrow. Anyone want to bet I have a new tire approved and on the car by 10:00am? read more

Took away 30+ years of multi vehicle patronage July 2025 due to service issues with mgr. Dean. Decided to give another chance today for Toyota Sequoia rear brakes and brake fluid flush. Dean took reservation for a couple hours later. I said "so you have parts?" and Dean replied no problem, bring it in. I came in two hours later. Dean at desk acknowledged and said "right with you" he continued typing for another 5 minutes. Finally left for work area and asked other associate (who had been idle most of the 5 minutes) to take care of me. Wrote up order, I asked time estimate he said "3 hours" I questioned the amount of time and he said we have to order the parts-do not order parts until the customer is here. I left because I had other commitments and did not plan a 3 hour job there. Toyota dealers are now competitive for many jobs, and appreciate customers. Subject: Disappointing Service Experience - Jeep Grand Cherokee I own a Jeep Grand Cherokee and came in recently with high expectations, as I've had good experiences in the past--most recently when I had an oil change and purchased tires from your store in March. I called ahead and spoke with Cole to schedule a 1:30 PM appointment. He mentioned that the best coupon available was $25 off, which he said he would apply. When I arrived at about 1:25 PM, I checked in with another service advisor and explained that I wanted an oil change, a tire rotation (included with my tire purchase), a general check (quoted at $10), and an alignment check. I also noted that if an alignment was needed, I wanted to purchase the one-year alignment warranty. I expected to be there for about an hour. However, I waited significantly longer. Around 3:00 PM, a mechanic came in and casually asked, "Hey, what do you want to do with the Jeep? Alignment?" I explained again to him and to Fernando at the counter that I had requested an alignment check and, if needed, the alignment itself. By that point, Fernando told me it would be "just a little longer" and confirmed that the alignment was being done. Another customer and I both expressed frustration about how long the process was taking. I mentioned that due to the delay, I felt additional compensation would be appropriate, and Fernando agreed to take another $25 off. When I checked out close to 4:00 PM, I paid $119. My emailed receipt reflected the $25 discount Cole promised and the general check discount ($37), but not the additional $25 that Fernando said would be applied. Moreover, none of the service reports indicate that an alignment check, nor an alignment was performed at all. Fernando did apologize and gave me his card, asking me to call him next time, but this experience has left me very disappointed. After such a long wait, lack of clarity, and missing service and discount, I'm hesitant to return in the future. Thank you for taking the time to review this. Made appt for 9am for AC check for my elderly dad's car. AC taking 10min to start cooling down. After 2 hrs to get diagnostic, and approximately $500 to service, decided to wait since weather's cooling down now. Took them over 30 min to get car back. Now, there's NO cool air whatsoever!!! They botched it amd made it worse. While waiting, another customer came in saying was in yesterday for oil change and now loud noises... They took advantage of elderly and woman. 7/14/25 RE: Store manager Dean. Appointment on time for Oil Change, Alignment, Rotation, A/C Service. Quoted "a couple hours" told him quoted last time same but after 2 hrs nothing had been done. He said he was fully staffed and should be done as stated. I came back 3 hrs later and again, NOTHING had been done. Didn't seem concerned, only Fernando offered to personally see to service if I came back again. a month ago same thing 30+ year customer with multiple vehicles. Made appt. Mgr said 2 hrs. 2 hrs later had not started work. Said they were "slammed". Why not tell me up front or call. I could not dedicate entire morning. He (mgr) could have cared less. No solution. We came here because I needed new tires and the ones I wanted were available at this location. They were the Firestone Firehawk Indy 500 tires. I called to ask in the morning if they had any availability and they said they would need about 3 hours to work on replacing all four tires. It was raining on my way up and I believe one of the tires had a nail in it. In addition, my previous tires were getting bald so it was about time to replace them. We went to eat lunch and came back a little while later and waited for my car to be ready. It took a little longer than 3 hours to complete but we didn't really needed to go anywhere. The guy helping me was nice and I believe he was the store manager. He let me know about the free alignment check and that my car was out of spec but since I had aftermarket parts, he asked if I wanted them to fix it or not. I opted to not fix it since it probably was going to be a lot longer to finish. Anyways, the tires looked good and I thought they did a good job. My aftermarket wheels were not scratched either so that was good! My experience was good and would probably go back if they were the only ones to have my tires again. read more

This place is a complete scam, and I want others to be aware of the experience I had. On Tuesday, May 27th, I brought my 2024 Chevy Trax to Firestone for a routine oil change and tire rotation. My car had zero issues going in. The person who assisted me, a man with a mullet who I believe was the manager, handled my service. I left thinking everything was fine, but shortly after, I realized they had forgotten to put the oil change service sticker on my windshield. I returned to ask for one, and someone at the counter casually mentioned that "the techs usually forget to do that," and that he'd "would have a serious talk with them about it." I brushed it off saying that it's totally okay and it's normal to forget to put one on. Later that same day, on my way to work, my check engine light came on which was strange, considering that my car is practically brand new. Concerned, I went to AutoZone that evening (Firestone was already closed) and had them run a diagnostic. They gave me a printout showing a P0171 code "System Too Lean (Bank 1)." The next day, I returned to Firestone to report the issue. The same guy with the mullet was there. I explained what happened and that the light came on immediately after the oil change. He dismissed it, saying, "An oil change wouldn't cause a check engine light," and told me they didn't even have an OBD2 scanner to read the code on my car which is shocking for an auto repair shop. When I showed him the code I had gotten from AutoZone, he chuckled and offered me two options: Pay $200 for a diagnostic that would take about 4 hours determining what's going on with my vehicle. Or an alternative purchase of a fuel injector cleaner they were "promoting" for $130, suggesting it might help with carbon buildup. At that point, I was convinced something wasn't right. This car is new. There shouldn't be any carbon buildup issues. So instead, I took my vehicle to Midway Chevrolet, the dealership I purchased it from. Their technician found the problem instantly: the dipstick wasn't fully seated, a simple fix... They confirmed it was likely left loose during the oil change and reassured me that no engine issue existed. They didn't charge me a cent for any type of diagnosis. The mechanic even mentioned that in some cases, third-party shops might leave something loose intentionally or not to make customers return and pay for unnecessary services. This is what bothers me the most: many people trust shops like Firestone, a company that has been here for a long time and people who should trust them with their cars, not knowing the details of how things work. And instead of helping, this place seems to prey on that lack of knowledge to push expensive, unnecessary services. I would have paid $200 dollars for a service of just putting the dipstick back into its place that even I could have done if knowing that this was the issue. Firestone, this is disgraceful. What you tried to pull here is unethical and unacceptable. I'm not letting this go. You caused me stress, wasted my time, and tried to charge me hundreds of dollars for a problem you created. I deserve some sort of compensation for the time wasted and the potential damage this would have caused my vehicle if I would have gone a long time leaving my vehicle unchecked. This location performed transmission work on my vehicle and then a week later my transmission overheated. They claim it's not their fault. A claim was filed with their insurance company and was denied. My vehicle sat there for 4 weeks and they did not bother to communicate with me at all. I had to call and find out it was denied after they had just known for a week. If I could give this location negative stars I would. First things first, I am a female 35 who has no men in my immediate family so I am always so nervous and completely panicked when I have to deal with car stuff!! Well coming to this store and speaking with Dean (store manager) and Jonathan makes me feel I now have 2 guys I can rely on with car stuff!! They broke it all down for me, explained to me what was needed ASAP and what I had time for. I want to start by saying I've used Firestone as my go-to for vehicle repairs for over twenty years. I trusted them. I always got good service and advice. They never did any unnecessary work, even if I thought it was something I needed. Because of their integrity, I have recommended them and up until this last change in management trusted them. However, in April I brought one of my vehicles in with a check engine light. I also said it was due for an oil change. Dean was our advisor and told us that the vehicle was leaking oil but they could not address the problem. They also said we should NOT drive the vehicle. He recommended we take it to an engine shop and said I should have it towed. However, they proceeded with the oil change, on a vehicle that had an engine issue and was leaking oil. It turned out the vehicle needed a new engine, which exceeded the value of the vehicle. The vehicle was sold for scrap. The reason I will never go back is that instead of calling us and asking if under the circumstances we still wanted an oil change, which would have been the professional thing to do, they did everything on the ticket and charged us for unnecessary work. The cost of the oil change is not the issue. The fact that I cannot trust that they won't do unnecessary work and that they will provide good advice for my vehicles is why I will not go back. read more

I just wanted two front tires replaced (obviously defective visually) the rubber had separated apart at the side seam, The place wanted to charge me again for new tires! Wait there's more.. when I communicated my dissatisfaction about paying the full price for replacement the guy that that worked there became rude, ignored both my wife and I standing in line for 16 minutes and the manager Blaine became disassociated to the job. Wait there's more.. They set the parking brake after I left the car there which got stuck from setting it wrong, and I had to call another mechanic to come across town to Firestone on an emergency road call to fix it. Horrendous experience at this location- trust me- do NOT visit this location! I work close to this location so I figured I would try this place out- huge mistake. My A/C in my Yukon was not blowing cool air so I scheduled an appointment two weeks ago. I show up for my scheduled appointment at 5pm and I'm told the last technician is leaving after the job he was working on and no one will be able to look at my vehicle.. what was the point of make the appointment in the first time, then?!? I ended up rescheduling for the following day. I drop my vehicle off at 8:30am- after not receiving a day throughout the day- I reach out to them and they explain what was wrong and it would be $847 to repair/resolve the A/C not blowing cool air issue. They fix the issue and I paid and pick the vehicle up. Three days later the vehicle stops blowing cool air. I bring the vehicle back in to Firestone for another vehicle inspection- this time they mention there are additional repairs needed and it was cost me $1250 additional to make these repairs. Obviously- not happy with this as these issues should have been discovered the first time around. The store manager, Dean, offered a discount quickly down to $550 + the $847 I previously paid- seemed very grimy and I told him this. The initial $847 should have resolved the A/C not blowing cool air issue, but didn't. Even with 12-month/12K mile warranty on my initial service- they still charged me more. I ended up paying the extra money to get my vehicle fixed because I had no other choice. I dropped the vehicle off yesterday to get the vehicle worked- they ordered the wrong part so they were unable to resolve/fix my vehicle all day after having the vehicle all day. I called the store around 4pm yesterday after not hearing from them because I figured something was up... they didn't have the right part for my vehicle. The store rep- Alex- put be on hold and couldn't provide me with the status of my vehicle. I take another Uber to Firestone after work and then they explain what is going on and that they wouldn't be able to repair the vehicle. The 5th day going to resolve ONE issue- they were finally able to resolve. After my having to take 8 total Ubers and taking up plenty of my time, additional energy and stress, and more money. Alex- representative at the store- actually quoted to me on the phone "that our manager left early and we are out high and dry on everything". Also- while I was waiting for my vehicle to be repaired, there were multiple other upset customers that were told their vehicle would be ready at the end of the day- and it didn't happen. I'd give less than a star if I could, and I'm about to go all over social media with this info; June 2016 I went in and spent over $600.00 on the better tire of two that this Firestone location sells for our Fiat 500c pop. Champion Fuel Fighters for around $93.00 a piece plus tax, the fee to put them on, etc. Mileage was 31k. Mileage is now 58, 600k. So not even 28k miles on them and they are bald, one is about to pop from blisters. I have my mechanic rotate tires, I have alignment checked, all is good on the car. I bring the car to Firestone and the best they can do is prorate me?!?! So I am angry, and drive to my mechanic, because at 48 years old, I am either finding out that tire sales is a scam, or Firestone is a terrible company. Maybe both, I found out it's both. The gent at my mechanics tells me this is how tire stores generally do things. Unless it's a defect in the tire while the tread is still new, then it's usually free. So, I paid for a 5 year 70k mile warranty, over $600.00(they cost more now), so in less than 3 years and 27k miles later I can pay them ANOTHER $400.00 for tires?!?!? WTF???? This can't be correct! If this is true, I'll be buying discount tires from now on. I may replace them more, yet in the long run, I know I'll save less. I have had WAY cheaper tires last FAR longer. I do believe some Firestone tires are just junk, and the warranty is a scam. I will NEVER go to Firestone again. This was a harsh lesson. The guy behind the counter had a sales ticket ready to sell me new tires and more before even checking to see the alignment is fine. It's ALL about sales with them, not quality. Our youngest daughter is about to graduate from HS in May, I didn't think I'd be shelling out for new tires so soon, and I plan things accordingly, I didn't plan on Firestone tires sucking, and their customer service being even worse. I went in due to a faulty brake switch issue, that caused my rear break lights to stay on, even with my truck off, as well as my ABS light to come on in my dashboard. I also had an ongoing clutch saftey switch issue that caused my 98 nissan frontier to not start at random times. This great shop diagnosed and fixed both of these issues in less than a day, and at a MORE than reasonable price of under $300. Any other shop would have charged me twice that amount. Excuse me? This is now the second time my appointment has been rescheduled without prior communication from the employees. Some people do not have the flexibility to bring their vehicles in Monday-Friday because they work those days. A lack of planning and staff on your part doesn't mean an inconvenience can be put on your customers. Communication is key. This is also the third time I would have brought my vehicle to them to fix the same issue. It's ridiculous and a waste of hard earned money and time. This location is severely disappointing. The Firestone Complete Auto Care at 3540 W Bell Rd, Glendale, AZ managed by Eric deserves the highest rating one can give. They are transparent, dedicated, proud of their work,and go above and beyond. They list what is going on with your car without any pressure and point out which repairs are considered safety issues. I brought in a Mazda that spent 10 years in Minnesota. Mazda's are known for their undercarriage rust and a bear to work on. The technicians worked for hours on the car. I was there the whole time amazed that once they started they did not stop. When the shop was suppose to close at 6pm, they stayed open another 2 1/2 hours working on it. The manager explained and demonstrated what work was being done and why. I am 100 percent confident that the car is safe now and should be running for many more miles. I appreciated Eric kindly walking me thru what was being done on my car. Just for the record, it took much longer than they thought to get out the parts that were so rusted, but the price did not reflect this. I then let her know that I just had a separate tire patched & there wasn't any issues with with the thread she then proceeded to say well you can go somewhere else because our policy will not allow us to patch it. These guyz are CHEATS ! I gave my car for service 2 days back and also paid additional charges for complete car inspection. Total bill $56.00 .They told me that the car will be ready in 1-1.5 hrs however it took 3 hrs for them to finish the job. Today I was checking my car battery connections and noticed that the Engine Coolant was complete empty. I called them and they asked me to bring the car for them to have a look. When I went there they told me that as per Firestone policy "the Fluid Topup is not a part of the car service and they change it only when the customer requests for it !!! ( isn't changing/ topping up the fluid level a very basic thing for any car service ?) Anyways ,When I asked that if that is the case , then why doesn't your inspection report say anything about the low coolant level ?? To this he immediately ran and grabbed the coolant and topped it up. I doubt if they did any inspection .I am not sure if they have replaced oil filters or other fluids , and or if they just done the oil change and gave the car back. Also the color of coolant is dark brown which I believe is the flushed out coolant of some other car. Please stay away from Firestone @ 35th and Bell , Save your Car , Time and money . read more
