I came in to purchase two new front tires and waited for the service to be completed. Everything seemed fine when I left, but when I got home and started washing my car, I noticed there was a leak coming from the valve on one of the new tires. I'm extremely disappointed that after spending my time and money here, I now have to go back and deal with an issue that should have been caught before I left. This is basic quality control. It's frustrating and inconvenient to have to wait until the next day to get something fixed that should have been done correctly the first time. I'm lucky I live close by, but I can only imagine how frustrating this would be for someone who doesn't. Hoping they make it right, but this definitely wasn't a great experience. Came to Discount after having a horrible experience with Big O. Ordered tires and made an appointment for installation, received numerous calls to make sure we would be at said appointment and confirmed each time. We showed up to our appointment and they had sold the tires out from under us. Exactly like Big O had done previously. All this information was relayed to the gentleman who helped us when the tires were initially ordered. Now we have no tires, yet again. Will not be ordering replacements from Discount. I went to this location and bought tires with a quote of 1 hour and 15 minute completion time. After 1 hour and nine minutes I asked if it would be completed on time and was told that there was just 1 vehicle in front of mine and it would be done shortly. I advised the salesman that I have an appointment and he said he would move my vehicle up to next in line. I watched as they moved other vehicles into the bays and left mine in the lot. This location is on par with the other two that I've gone to visit. I actually go to this one the most because it is closest to my home. Their air refill station makes everything convenient for me. I just got new tires yesterday from this location and have no complaints about service. I was greeted right as I walked in, then again as each subsequent tech walked back into the lobby with their customer. It was less than an hour from the time I stepped foot in the store til the time I walked out. I had a warranty, which they honored, so I only paid for one of the two new tires. I have no reason to ever look elsewhere for tires. I will always recommend this entire chain to whoever asks. (I think I saw one of their commercials with a similar situation years ago) I had picked up a bolt in my front tire and was desperate. Luis the manager, not missing a beat, said "let's take a look at it, we'll get you taken care of." No whiney attitude, or mentioning the time. No looking at the clock, or saying his guys were done for the day. Just a smile, and the assurance they had my back. I am loyal customer with Discount Tire and I have been coming here for years w/ each vehicle I've owned. I always get treated so well here by the manager & most of the employees but I just want to bring a specific employee to your attention. Today when I arrived for an air check at 11:40am I patiently waited in line when one of your kind employees told me you were closing at noon but that I can be helped at the first driveway by the main entrance. When I pulled in to that section. Your employee who is a young lady (wasn't wearing a name tag) approached me aggressively and said "do you know your tire pressure?" Not a hello or anything. I said "no but I can show you" so I opened my car door and pointed at the sticker & she just walked away and started filling my tires. While I was in the car she shouted to another employee "I just wanna go home!" And when she was done she just walked away and said something and I didn't hear her so I said "what was that?" And she said "you're set" and made a shoo-ing away hand gesture. Although I understand it is very hot out and employees want to go home after a busy shift, I was not aware that you closed at noon since google says you're open til 5pm. Regardless, customers should not be treated that way especially when I was being kind and respectful. The managers here are very rude and disrespectful. They talk at you. Not to you. They try very hard to upsell you on everything you purchase. I got new tires installed they scratched all 4 of the rims and acted like it was my fault for having chrome rims. It took 2 weeks to for the manager fred to tell me they are not fixable and ordered new rims. Then when they finally came in some other short round manager was very rude and talked to me like i am dumb. Telling me the whole situation is my fault because I couldn't wait for my original rims to get fixed. I'm just amazed how this store stays in business. read more

We needed some new tires fast as we were getting ready to go on vacation in two days. I called them at 1:00 pm and they put us in line on the waiting list. I've been doing business with Discount Tire since the mid 80's so I've been to a few different ones over the years and living in So Cal they store is known as American Tire. Live here in AZ for just over the last 20 years now and have been to many shops here. This store needs help and it starts with management. This is such a busy store but when management lets do many customers build up and they only have 2 bays open and maybe put on a tire behind a car being worked on when you have 3 more empty bays. It was definitely different from the stores I've done business. I'll go to a different location the next time. Had to drop the star rating down. Found out last night the one and main thing I asked this shop to do was rotate my tires, it was time for rotation. But they didn't do that it's just sad to have chosen the wrong shop. read more

I just bought 4 tires from Discount Tires. I had an appointment and they got it in right away. I had a slight shimmy with one of my tires on the front. I was not sure if it was an out of round tire or bent rim. I asked them to put the fron tires back on so I could see if the shimmy was gone after new tires. They took the time to do the front tires in one area and the back in another area so to keep them seperated. Luckily it was the tire. They were very fast and did a quailty job. So I came in today to get a patch in my tire. I know my tires are bad and I'm working on getting them replaced. Scott was the gentleman helping me out and he was awesome. I dont know anything about tires and he explained that one of my tires was not the same size as the rest. He let me know one by one which ones are okay and which one needed replacement ASAP. He didn't speak to me as a sales person but instead as someone who just wants to inform me of what I have, what I need and the best course of action. He was super friendly and patient. Looks can be deceiving. As I transacted my business, I noticed how efficient the place seem to be running and I told a bald headed man who seemed to be running the show exactly that. It "looked" good. But not. Supposedly, they had returned my spare to its original location and then later I discovered they had MERELY TOSSED -- at random -- INTO THE TRUNK: the jack, the crank for the jack and the nut wrench, a perfect way to store these items IF YOU NEVER AGAIN NEED THEM. Also, one of the air caps on one tire is missing: I have no idea if I lost it before or during this visit but wouldn't it have been appropriate for a tire store, THE TIRE STORE IM DOING BUSINESS WITH to tend to this? Who else would tend to it? Who am I going to deal down the road with that's better equipped to deal with this if not Discount Tire? Thx 4 hiring such OUTSTANDING workers which includes the attentive & humorous front desk/waiting area personnel, the new employee w/ the AWESOME personable attitude (who we heard was his 1st day working there) & the ones behind the scenes doing such efficiently thorough tire repair work to ensure the safe operation of our personal vehicles! The guy who returned my vehicle when it was ready was the cake topper 2 us leaving your store, having the best experience yet! I always tell everyone I know there's no other place I'd entrust or gamble w/ for my tire needs which is also why whenever it's time to purchase new tires, it's never the slightest question where I'm getting them. Besides, they've saved me TONS of $$$ in free repairs from patches 2 valve stem leaks, tire rot8ions etc over the yrs, so I'm sure I speak 4 many customers in what I've said here: that if having to spend our hard-earned money when it's time 4 new tires, there's no other place that deserves the business more than them! Sometimes they will try to up sell you and or add things automatically to the tab with-out telling you making it seem like its part of the package. However, they are very patient and will answer any and all questions and will lower the bill if need be to fit your budget and get your business. Moreover, stop by anytime during business hours and they will check your tires and fill them up with air as needed FOR FREE ! Ahhhhhh.... Home sweet home. Tire guys that care. After driving from the 23rd and camelback location where I got super horrible service, I was greeted with water and a smile. I bring these guys all the vehicles I drive. This is usually about 6 sets of tires a year. The other location had the nerve to tell me my 5 year old tires were just fine. Hello??!!! They are missing chunks of tread. They get one star cuz there's no zero button. 43rd and Glendale is the place to go. They gave me as many credits as they could and I'm driving away with all brand new truck tires for $260! I will be returning to this location because of the STAFF. They truly care and it shows. Sometimes we step over a dollar to pick up a penny! A happy client is a returning client. And let's face it, word of mouth on poor service doesn't pay the bills.
